i was just wondering if ebay charges final value fees for just the selling price of an item or does it also charge for the shipping amount as well? for example, if i were to put an item for 135 dollars with 30 dollars shipping ( based on the buyers location ), would that mean that i would get 33 dollars deducted, totaling to 132 dollars after the fees? another example is if i put shipping as free, but still put the item weight and dimensions, does ebay still automatically take away 10 percent from what the shipping cost would be? so in other words, you would not be able to avoid the shipping fee if you put free shipping as an option? what if your selling an item that really weighs 20 pounds but you try to avoid the shipping fee ( if there is one ), by putting the item weight at the minimum, like 1 ounce, and the smallest dimesions possible that the post office can take for shipment, and using the free shipping option. would this make the shipping portion fee ( again, if there even is one ), to a very low number? i know that paypal takes 2.9 percent of the selling price, plus 30 cents. i was just curious on this whole final value shipping cost that everyone is talking about, i dont seem to get it. i hate to sell something, where i carefully measure the shipping costs, final value fee of just the selling price and paypal fees, to get my small profit of a few dollars, only to find out that i actually lost money.

are any of you guys depressed or know anyone that is depressed that tends to spend most of their time playing video games, because i do and apparently have a form of depression, ( been seeing psychologists for about 3 years, all of which mentioned that have depressive symptoms, dysthymia, major depressive disorder, and of course other conditions and traits which i would like to describe, i seen psychiatrists too with failed medications ), and i wanted to see if anyone is out there like me that is suffering, so at least i dont feel as lonely and get some insight as well. here is the issues, i feel like i always had a "form" of depression, and it wasnt necessarily from playing a specific game, although playing a specific game did lead to more problems, like anger, although i dont know if anger and being overly assertive / defensive has to do with depression or something else, like a personality disorder / trait, or syndrome / disorder. i did notice that i engaged in video games a lot in my life, ever since i was really young, like 5 years old till now, at age 21, i play just as much, if not, more actually ( i spend most of my day doing solitary activities btw, and video games is one of them to keep me merely existing in my boring, frustrating, agitating, depressed, pissed off, jealous, sluggish life ). the other being building computers recently, i did this right after high school after i realized i became more withdrawn and isolated socially and just avoiding the open world.

i was just wondering on what your guys opinions are as far as how someone's life can be like or shaped based on the nurture theory. i put adhd in the thread title because i seem to fit almost all the traits, well, if you want to be more specific, i fit sluggish cognitive tempo more, so lets just say the question is for both of these conditions ( assuming sct is distinct from adhd, even though it shares very similar traits, or we can go with the theory that i have both, there is no distinction and labeling is not a factor, and that i have almost all traits from BOTH ). what are you thoughts about these conditions? i feel like if i do have both ( again, in terms of traits and not looking at the labels ), then its impossible to do anything effectively to reduce the problems that come with the person's traits, because the person's traits itself make the person susceptible, the person spends their entire life to adapt, so talking about improvement is not a choice, if things are happening in life that otherwords could give you opportunities and what not, you quickly shy away, if you go to a party, your not there to have fun, you there to just exist, just observing others. what im trying to say is, whatever i am suffering from, its impossible to do anything about it ( effectively ), and this is me speaking confidently, yet in a negative connotation. would this form of speech be recognized though as a form of fatalistic belief then? because i do consider myself like that.

i just wanted to start off saying that i fit the criteria for adhd and many other disorders / conditions, and no, i have never self diagnosed myself, ive been seeing psychologists for almost 3 years, with varied diagnosis's and mentioned labels and traits, time from time, i will research things myself and conclude my own theory on things. anyways, what i wanted to say is, whats up with all these people, for instance, if adhd is supposedly a motivation and disregulation problem, then how can all these people have jobs, a girlfriend in the first place, and get good grades, and at the same time, be so confident about everything they say, talk about optimistic mindsets lol, ( although when i took a eeg brain scan, the person who did the scan for me said her husband has adhd, had reported mini seizures on the test, and tested near genius level for his iq ), lol...something seems fishy here to me. my theory is that adhd shouldnt be labeled as a disorder if most of these people are so well rounded / functional and i know for a fact that most of them ARE. this includes a few of my friends that apparently have adhd, all of which are ahead of me, i dont know anyone thats below me, ( 1.68 gpa in college, no goals or mindsets, solitary boring agitating frustrating life ). even the people that dont do well in college that i know that have adhd, they still have a good social life, or a job at least. but me, not any of those.

and im not talking about suicide, btw, this question is about me, its not really depression per say that is or has affected me, well, i guess you can say i do have a "form" of depression, but i dont necessarily have issues doing the same things i have always done, if anything, my meditation techniques from late high school ( im 21 now ) and coping mechanisms have enabled me do things that otherwords i probably wasnt able able to do when i was younger, but i guess when i was younger, part of of the reason was the hormones wouldnt let me, anyways, what i want to say is i have been seeing psychologists for the past 2 1/2 years, in a few months, it would be three, i mentioned a few labels, they mentioned a few, we talked together about them, i was never diagnosed though, and medication for possible conditions that were prescribed by different psychiatrists did not yield any positive results, only side effects where half of the drugs i just stopped taking because of personal reasons and the other have, i was forced to stop them because i got sick from them. this was ritalin and vyvanse for supsected adhd which apparently based off my side effects, traits from diagnosis and testings, half the people said i probably dont have it ( even though i fit like 90 percent of the traits ), the other half, more or less agreed but never did they officially diagnose me, not that it matters, i just thought it was ironic that my diagnosis ranged so much, from social anxiety, social phobia,...

i was researching a little about tornadoes and what kind of storms they form in, i looked up a diagram showing a low precipitation supercell, showing the location of the tornado is southwest with a precipitation free base and i believe the rain / hail occur in the northeast and i was just curious on something, i was just wondering, if the storm is coming towards you, lets say your looking through the window in your house, looking south, your exact location then would be northwest of the approaching supercell that is coming directly to you, would that mean that since the rain / hail doesnt occur in the northwest portion, that you wouldnt experience any of it, only some wind that gradually gets stronger as the tornado approaches you?

im in the process of building a custom desktop but have encountered some problems with the computer not being able to post, all parts were purchased new, i noticed the motherboard giving 3 beeps, i believe they were long ones and it would just do it consecutively until you shutdown the computer, based on the manual, it indicated a ram problem so i went ahead and ordered 2 new ones, this time, i referred to crucial.com for ram compatibility for the motherboard, the other time, i just bought the ram sticks by searching the motherboard model and ram upgrade. anyways, i installed the new memory, this time, it would not beep 3 times, its a different problem, it powers up all the way for like a few seconds, im talking about the fans spinning up all the way, then the cpu fan slow down as if the pc isnt getting enough power, the cpu fan will spin very slow, power supply, hdd, dvd burner still running, but no post. it does however give two short beeps, but based on the manual, i could not find anything that mentions two beeps for the bios codes. the motherboard model number is intel dq43ap. the processor im using is the core 2 duo e6300, 2 GB ddr2 pc2 6400 ram ( 800mhz dimms ), one sata drive, 1 dvd burner, onboard gma x4500 graphics, and hec 350 watt 80 plus bronze psu.

i have a feeling its the ram, possibly the cpu + ram speed and motherboard bios settings cannot work together, thus, preventing the system from posting. i did order a new cpu, the pentium e2200.

im in the process of doing a experimental desktop build of windows 95 and i cant get the ps2 keyboard port to work, even after buying a brand new ps2 pci add on card, only the ps2 mouse works, my question is, will i be able to get the usb keyboard to work during installation, and then later enabling the usb patch for basic functionality? i would do this by using the existing working ps2 mouse i have, i dont think i need a keyboard after the os installs. its annoying because i spent a lot of money on the ps2 add on card, i also purchased another floppy drive coming in because the other one i ordered didnt appear to work, no data was being registered. the wierd part is, the ps2 keyboard works on another pc but even after buying a new ps2 pci card, it wouldnt work on the original motherboard which makes me think the motherboard's keyboard detection is messed up somehow. also the hard drive i bought from ebay listed as new, appears to be used, when i went to windows 7 installation just to format it, it was used up like half way, and when i went to cmd option in recovery tools, it wouldnt let me format, it said its write protected which i searched on how to fix but none of the options i followed on sites worked.

so, can i temporarily use the usb keyboard to install w95, or will the device basically turn off / not work once it enters setup?

i have a old computer with old operating system that i want to install in which usb would not be detectable, windows 95 osr 2.5, and the ps/2 ports dont work anymore, could i just buy a pci serial port add on card and get ps2 adapters on the ends to connect the ps2 keyboard and mouse i have? the ps2 add on cards i found seem expensive or none are in the united states for cheap, even with the ps2 adapters with the serial pci card, it would be cheaper. so, will this work or am i out of luck? are there other options for fairly cheap? i was thinking of install usb drivers during setup but i dont know how to, i only saved a video as reference on how to install the operating system, but not on how to install drivers during / before setup, the usb ports do work on the motherboard, if anyone knows how to install the usb drivers on a floppy, that would be nice as i know windows 95 version c / osr 2.5 does support usb devices, and i have the usb file update already downloaded as proof, but like i said, i just dont know how to implement it during and after setup is complete

everytime i play any online team game, they either complain that im not doing my job when im playing perfectly fine or they get mad for instance when i steal their kills for strategy / action games. seriously, you get mad that i stole your kill and dont give credit for helping, when they could have died in the fights? they only look at what they dont like, they dont thank me for anything else, these people just have no respect in general and are very low class, i dont care what they say. this is from warcraft 3 dota games, it seems like the majority of the population are either white trash, scum, assholes, people with personality disorders or just asshole unrealistic type personalities. i wish they could do a survey on every person that played this game or games like this and evaluated what kind of people are found mostly playing these types of games for mental disorders / conditions. i mean, it isnt even gaming, most people in general are like this in society too, other than a lot of them having adhd, aspergers i suspect and or other conditions, im also suffering myself too with god knows what, but at least i dont trash talk or say unrealistic things. i try to stay humble and respectful of others, if i win a game or gonna win it, i dont become cocky or trash talk. i stay quiet.

all this said, im really being affected by this video game playing, i play it a lot due to my depressed / frustrating / empty / worthless / lazy life to get a little stimulation...

i seem to fit the criteria, but based off what i read on forums of people apparently diagnosed with it or say they have it, i dont seem to have most of the traits people explain. for instance, they say that they dont really have a problem with interacting with others, they simply dont like to. but for me, i dont understand how its possible for people to not engage with others ( humans ) and still be happy / have a balanced life. its as if these people are robots. i for one, have been living in solitude for the past 2 1/2 years or so, age 21 now, barely going out, when i do, its only when im already part of a group and things have already been flowing smoothly beforehand which would also affect my mood, generally im cautious, observant, and passive, and bland i guess. like when i go to parties, with of course, my brother that takes me to them as i almost never went to any by myself, i would just follow him everywhere. when confronting people that i know from saying hi occasionally before, i usually wait for the other person to get full eye contact and attention to me and then i approach the other person to say hi, this is if i decide to approach them, when they are approaching me, its difficult for me to function right. like i will either completely walk past someone that would say hi to my brother, or i would stand there and then give a hug / weak smirk / handshake, this is a problem for both girls and guys. im a guy btw, if its a girl, i feel awkward,

im just wondering because, i have seen a few psychologsists in the past for 2 1/2 years, and all the diagnosis varied, though a few did mention the same things such as depression, a little bit of anxiety and what not, it still bothers me on why they arent direct with me. i can understand that giving labels isnt really a good way of dealing with things but for me, i feel like someone who is very well educated and knows his stuff can at least assure me that it all comes down to one thing that explains everything else, i just dont buy the whole commorbidity thing. its like debating that EVERYONE has adhd, or no, not everyone has adhd. its really bothersome because every source i get is different. one person says this and one person says that, all i can do is look at everything in a philosophical perspective, just questioning things but never getting down to the deeper meaning or truth. maybe that has to do with my perfectionist personality disorder? maybe the perfectionism comes from my inconsistencies / no creativity or imagination and just dullness? i mentioned solitude in the topic header because at the age of 21, i dont see myself going anywhere, nor do i care to go anywhere. not only do i have a empty, boring life, stressful, agitating, frustrated life but its getting worse and worse by the day and i know that without god giving some kind of magical pill, ( which i would have to find from the psychiatry business ), even that wont fix anything.

i want to install windows 2000 on a custom built desktop i have on a sata hdd / dvd burner, i researched a bit and a few people said that its possible to install sata hard drives on older operating systems that dont originally have sata drivers by simply using the ide mode in the bios and not needing any additional drivers, someone said this worked on both windows 2000 / xp. the only problem is, the motherboard's bios that i have, doesnt mention ide settings, the closest thing that i see is sata controller, where the options are either enable or disabled. the motherboard is an am3 motherboard, manufactured 2009, so i know i still can get drivers for other things as windows 2000 was still supported till 2010. but i dont want to receive the operating system, go up to setup and experience the error that the operating system didnt detect any drives. i also dont want to do the slipstream modification as i dont want to fiddle trying to get it to work like that and giving up later on because i couldn't get it to work. the motherboard has one floppy ide port, but no hdd / cd / dvd rom ide ports.

i want to use windows 2000 operating system as an experimental build and i wanted to make sure im heading the right direction, for the service packs, you would just download sp1, sp2, sp3, and then sp4 individually? and then for the update rollups, after installing sp4, you can then install the update rollup 2 which is the first one too with other updates? i also have another question that i asked before but didnt get answers to it yet, i wanted to know if there is a relation between how online games update to newer patches and microsoft support? in other words, would a game like warcraft 3 still update when clicking battle.net in the menu? also, i cant really find any sources of the game's compatibility with windows 2000, however, i did read a while ago that it runs on windows 98, so i dont see why it wouldnt on windows 2000. also, this is off topic to this question too but i experimented with windows 98 and couldnt get warcraft 3 to even install, mentioning incorrect path choosen! please choose again, i looked up the problem and tried a few things but all of which didnt fix the problem. this is one of the reasons why i want to use windows 2000, w98se gave me all sorts of missing dll and other random errors and problems, and system file checkers and those things didnt fix the problems. also, want to use windows 2000 obviously because of the newer, better, and more availability of hardware / driver support.

im trying a few desktops, one of which is still being worked on to be sold, the other two are complete, the problem is, i have not had any buyers yet for one of them which has been up for a while, both on ebay and craigslist, i have it priced higher on ebay a lot higher obviously due to shipping and fees, but still have not getting any responses, for ebay, i get barely any views and no watchers, and for craigslist, no one at all has messaged me after like 2 months. the more recent desktop i have complete, ( no monitor, mouse or wifi card ), has not gotten any responses in the last week or so, which isnt that long but i still wanna know if my prices are fair. also no luck on facebook trying to sell things, i guess i need to go to a forum or place with a lot of geek type people.

is it possible to prevent these problems when trying to install a game on a unsupported operating system that would normally give a error which says you need to upgrade your operating system and what not. is there a way of making the game / program install through another way / modification / running in some kind of compatibility mode? reason being is i heard that some games that recall for a certain directx version but which dont meet that level for older operating systems could possibly be run still in opengl mode if the operating system also supports the same version but obviously to get to that point, you would also need to install the game. can these be done? im asking this because i may experiment with an old operating system to mess around with it and have fun with it and run a few games that run in opengl mode but which dont meet directx requirements of the operating system and somehow install the games and run them in opengl.

i have been seeing psychologists for about 2 and a half years, psychiatrists as well which i was prescribed various medications as a trial and error process in possibly helping with whatever it is that has affected me my whole life, only to find that medication failed, one reason was that i didnt take them that long to see if slowly i would possibly get "Better", but half the reason, i would say 100 percent for one of the drugs is the side effects, when i took vyvanse which supposedly is treated for adhd and to show if i had it or not, it made me feel high for the first hour or so, though i didnt realize that i was high off the medicine at this moment, i even told my mom that moment i took it that i think this is the right medication since it gave an immediate reaction, and i told her that im gonna have a good life probably if i keep taking this, then after a few hours, i started getting depressed, anxious, appetite problems, the next day my mom said to take the drug again which i didnt want to because i really didnt feel good, but i went ahead and took the drug again being all weak and i couldnt eat really, i developed a shake where, kind of the feeling you get when you are about to throw up, i forcefully went to the bathroom and threw up a little, did the same thing a few more times that day, i was basically sick a few days and constipated, i felt like crap, never took vyvanse again. i took ritalin for a few days, it was like a mild version of vyvanse, did not help one bit either. i did not want to stay on ritalin, although the side effects were not as bad as vyvanse, it still made me feel bad in many ways, i took welbutrin for about a month, side effects were very little the first few days, then not noticable later on, the drug didnt help me at all though and i didnt want to stay on the anti depressant. i took some other drugs but for very little and i feel like mentioning them wouldnt necessarily help with my situation.

i mentioned in the question that, would someone have to be depressed to be suicidal / hate life or their life, i wanted to see what other people think of this. apparently, all my psychologists have mentioned that i do have some "form" of depression, though they dont specify WHY, and the whole labeling thing is bugging me, not necessarily because of finding the right "label", but because of so many different diagnoses, it kind of pisses me off, why the diagnosis would be so broad, i havent been diagnosed with all of which but all of my psychologists kind of agree with me that i fit them, ( of course, they are psychologists so, they do have to be reasonable with their patients, and i feel like im very reasonable with them in measurements ). but at the same time, i feel like they are just ignoring FACTS, and just dont want to get in more depth, they talk more on general therapy / changing myself, and saying typical stereotypical things that any psychologist would say, like do you have problems with paying attention, do you lose things, stuff like that. my answer as always is, well yeh ( in a sarcastic tone ), everyone does, do you want me to tell you that i have almost every trait from almost every mental disorder too? then what? so i can hear you say the same thing over and over that i would hear from anyone that never helps?

anyways, i thought i put that a few traits about myself, maybe someone highly intelligent, if not highly intelligent, highly courteous / understanding / and putting effort in giving a detailed answer for me, can possibly relate to me ( i know its hard, since not every person in the world is like me, i would say less than 40 percent, if i have one - two commorbid conditions, if i have more than two commorbid conditions ( personality flaws / type counting as one ), then i would put it as less than 10 percent i suppose, enough of these numbers, here is some specs about me lol -

. sees himself falling under adhd criteria ( more than 75 percent of the traits and problems, yet adhd medications failed, and brain scans ( the brain scans is basing off the chemical imbalance / brain abnormality theory ), after getting an MRI, PET, and EEG brain scan, all of which came back normal.

. sees himself falling under sluggish cognitive tempo (, more than 75 percent, though, russel barkley said people with sct tend to be more behaved than people with adhd ( distinction ), but im actually a pretty defiant and aggressive person, i complain a lot, very defensive ( though i think this goes also with what im gonna say below ).

. im neurotic, i suffer from neurosis ( at least, more than 90 percent of the traits i exhibit ).

i bought a 7dbi antenna to replace the 2dbi antenna that came with my wifi pci card on my desktop and it didnt help at all, it actually made the signal strength and connection a little worse, or you could say, more laggy. are these things supposed to just help in very specific ways, or could it also be that maybe the antenna im using, isnt applicable for the wifi card, or just cheap in quality? i bought it for like 4 dollars on ebay. so do these things help really? if so, in what ways, because this one i bought did not help in any way shape or form. like i said, it had just made my connection worse. what would be a good solution to improve the signal strength / internet connection quality and performance besides this, if the antenna thing isnt a reliable or applicable solution? could it be that the wifi card i have just cant supply much power and the design makes it so that the performance can only be up to a certain point? btw, i believe i have the latest driver for the wifi card too, dated 11/25/13.

it just doesnt make any sense to me, maybe i dont understand in what ways they mean by normal iq, or average people, like they would rather be that way because they think normal people feel the most alive in this world / experience the most pleasure, or arent bothered so much by extremes in life that which they undergo themselves?

honestly, i would disagree with this, and other things like theory that people with lower iq's tend to be happier in life, but people with higher iq's tend not to be as happy, if anything, the lower your iq, the more problems you will have in life and you will experience more discomfort because any attempts you do would require more effort.

i myself hate my life, and i couldnt care less about iq numbers anymore because even if i was considered above average for say, like 112, it wouldnt matter, my life is a big ball of **** and i feel like im sinned and gonna go to hell when i die despite being in hell already!!!! i might have the capacity to do certain things that would other words WOULD carry on a meaningful energtic healthy life, but not carry life itself, im nowhere near a consistent person / stable / mentally tough / motivated / confident / conscious in any aspect, the only thing i have is living every day in misery / emptiness / feeling just messed up / barely living in a solitary life / dark / depressing / basically all sorts of negative things...

btw, i did get tested from my past psychologists, the two i tested, both of them indicated i had an average iq which didnt suprise me because i basically knew this. medications failed from the psychiatrists which were all experimental obviously since i didnt even know what was wrong with me before, now, or i dont think i ever will, this included ritalin, vyvanse, anti depressants, anti psychosis i think, so i feel like the options are very limited, as i told my mom, if there would be anything to help me, save me and give me a soul, it would be some sort of medication that not only makes me smarter in choices / but be happier in life, establish a life and basically do as much good things you can do in life. but we all know that will never happen, and as a result, with my limited knowledge, it seems like i will degenerate in life form by the day, not necessarily gonna go commit suicide, probably just gonna live a long miserable life, half alive, who knows...,
