how much are these desktops worth? are my prices fair?
im trying a few desktops, one of which is still being worked on to be sold, the other two are complete, the problem is, i have not had any buyers yet for one of them which has been up for a while, both on ebay and craigslist, i have it priced higher on ebay a lot higher obviously due to shipping and fees, but still have not getting any responses, for ebay, i get barely any views and no watchers, and for craigslist, no one at all has messaged me after like 2 months. the more recent desktop i have complete, ( no monitor, mouse or wifi card ), has not gotten any responses in the last week or so, which isnt that long but i still wanna know if my prices are fair. also no luck on facebook trying to sell things, i guess i need to go to a forum or place with a lot of geek type people.
anyways, here are the specs to more recent one below -
. pentium 4 2.4ghz single core ( northwood without hyperthreading )
. 2 GB ddr ram
. windows 7 32 bit operating system fresh install
. 80 GB hard drive, western digital ide interface 7200 rpm
. motherboard has 4 usb ports, 3 pci slots, etc
. dvd rom
. 8 MB graphics card matrox brand
. 300 watt power supply ( some oem brand for dell / hp / gateway / etc )
. working usb keyboard
what i stated - needs a quieter cpu fan, since its a little loud, wifi card, and better graphics card to make it perfect, i can add these for an extra 40 dollars, making the price 65 dollars firm.
MY price without the extras - $25 firm, price with all those extra things - $65 firm.
and here is the other one below which i have on both ebay and craigslist, on ebay, i have it for 350 dollars free shipping, on craigslist, only 260 dollars picked up locally. btw, i forget to mention that this desktop is only one month old, hence why the price may seem a little high, though i dont think it is, all the other desktops on ebay have weaker specs and cost either the same or more, here are the specs -
. CFI mid tower computer case with front 120mm fan
. Asus DVD burner
. Encore Wireless N wifi card with cd driver
. Gigabyte lga 1150 motherboard
. Intel Celeron g1820 dual core 2.7ghz cpu
. Intel hd 2500 graphics ( 448 MB allocated currently, this is the max amount )
. Alpine 11 plus cpu cooler with prolimatech pk3 thermal paste ( offers slightly better cooling than original cooler )
. 4GB ddr3 1333 ram ( 1 stick )
. Samsung 840 Evo 120GB solid state drive ( about 97.9 GB free ) front fan offers some passive cooling, ssd comes with cd for samsung magician / migration software. rapid mode is currently enabled.
. Corsair cx430 power supply, 80 plus bronze certified efficiency ( plenty of power for this system and room for upgrades )
. Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit operating system, no cd but license key will be included

There are LOADS of s/h PCs on ebay.
You WILL not sell one if you have to add on shipping.
DONT say what it needs it will put buyers off.

25$ is a great price for w7 on its own!
My best advice:
put adverts up locally shop windows etc.

$25 for a computer is a great price. Even though it's a Pentium 4, it uses the same processor socket as Core 2 Duos (LGA775), which will not only process tasks MUCH quicker, but it'll also operate at a cooler temperature and require less electricity.
This deal is further proven when I see websites trying to sell boxed Pentium 4 processors by themselves for the price of your second machine.

Your first rig isnt selling because of the out dated hardware. No matter the price. Although, it is priced decent. Pentium 4's just dont cut it now-a-days. But I understand the extreme budget PC aspect.
The latter rig, though it is up to date, I believe the Celeron kills it. Granted the Ivy-Brdge and Haswell Celeron's perform excellent (I know, I built one with the G1610), especially with an SSD. They perform like high-end Pentiums when those were the best gaming CPU's. But people are all into performance, and performance doesnt come to mind when you hear Celeron. Notch the budget rigs to Pentiums or i3's and I bet they will sell. Otherwise, you are pricing fairly in my opinion.

Your prices are fine but I'm not sure anyone would be willing to buy a PC with such specs even if it is low priced....just check that out.
