help me find a laptop!?
i need a new laptop but there are SO MANY out there, looking for advice.
here are must haves for me:
14 inch screen (I can settle for 15 inch if its absolutely necessary)
Ability to play some games fairly well like: Sims, Minecraft, CSGO, TF2 (not powerhouse games)
Some things I would like but don't need:
A centered track pad
A keyboard with no number pad
touch screen
Price range: Maximum $500-600 (USA)
Any suggestions will do nicely! I know I'm asking a lot, which is why I need help lol. i don't need to play games in the highest settings, I just want to be able to play them without them being super slow (as they are on my current laptop). i'm not great with laptop specs and processors and what-not, so I don't know what is considered good or good enough when searching for a laptop on my own.
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks3 years agoLaptop specs for productivity and light gaming?
I'm looking to get a new laptop and i'm very picky. I found an HP I like, with different options for processors and graphics and want to know what my best bet would be. The only games I play are Minecraft, Sims, and some steam games such as CSGO and TF2 so not exactly powerhouse games. I'm just looking for a laptop that will let me play lag-free, I don't care about graphics too much. Here are the options for the laptop:
AMD Quad-Core A10-9620P APU (2.5 GHz, up to 3.4 GHz burst frequency, 2 MB cache) + AMD Radeon™ R5 Graphics
AMD Dual-Core A9-9420 APU (3 GHz, up to 3.6 GHz, 1 MB cache) + AMD Radeon(TM) 530 Graphics (2GB dedicated memory) (+$20)
AMD Quad-Core A12-9720P APU (2.7 GHz, up to 3.6 GHz burst frequency, 2 MB cache) + AMD Radeon™ R7 Graphics (+$40)
AMD Quad-Core A10-9620P APU (2.5 GHz, up to 3.4 GHz, 2 MB cache) + AMD Radeon(TM) 530 Graphics (2GB dedicated memory) (+$60)
The ram is 8 gb. Which processor and graphics card option would be best for what I need?
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks3 years agostats question: z test and p value for reaching goal weights?
Group of 45 women with normal distribution have a mean BMI of 29.5 with a standard deviation of 1.6. The goal BMI was 28.5. Did the women meet their goal weight?
After doing the calculations I came up with a Zstat of -4.19 and p value of 0.0000276. While I assume my calculations are correct, how do I interpret this value in relation to the problem?
H0: u=29.5
HA: u=/=29.5
1 AnswerMathematics3 years agoStatistics question: z scores and p value?
u=29.5 (women weight)
o (SD) = 1.6
xbar=28.5 (women goal weight)
n=45
Hnull: u=28.5
Halt: u=/=28.5
Did the women meet their goal weight? Use alpha level 0.05 and interpret pvalue.
Im having trouble getting to the p value.I calculated SExbar to be 0.2385.
The formula for zstat: xbar-u/SE
(28.5-29.5)/0.2385=-4.19
With a zstat of -4.19, how do I find the p-value?
1 AnswerMathematics3 years agoWhat is the best material to color a very large poster?
I bought this poster from five below and it's very large. Its one of those where its already got a design drawn and you just color in the lines. I'm not sure what material would look best to color it all? I've been considering using oil pastels I'm just not sure what would make the colors look most even and not cheap? Thanks in advance!
1 AnswerDecorating & Remodeling5 years agoVarious questions about betta fish?
I've had 2 male betta's for about 2 years now. They live in a VERY small bowl, two of them, with a divider. They each have a decent amount of space but nowhere near enough as I've researched, yet they've lived for almost 2 years and have never seemed unhealthy looking to me (but I'm no expert). I also only feed them about once every other day and only clean their tank once every 2-3 weeks (whenever it gets visibly dirty). Considering theyre in such a tiny bowl (with no filter) how is it they are alive? I've read online about needing 5 gallons per betta (which seems rather large to me) in order for them to live healthy lives, when these two pass I may consider upgrading to a larger tank for just one new betta but until then they seem to be fine right? My sister has had her single betta in the same size tank and he is nearly 3 years old.
6 AnswersFish6 years agoHelp visualizing a trigonometry problem?
A receiver starts his route on the right hash mark of the forty yard line. He runs down the field at a fifty degree angle toward the right sideline and at the thirty yard line he turns back toward the middle of the field and catches the ball on the right hash mark of the fifteen yard line.
How far did the receiver actually run to make the reception at the fifteen yard line?
I know how to do trig perfectly so I don t really need help with the math. I just cannot figure out the triangle being made. If someone could help me visualize the lengths of the sides of the triangle being made that would be very helpful!

1 AnswerHair6 years agoWhat is the equivalent resistance of a group of resistors?
The resistors are 2 ohm, 1 ohm, and 2 ohm. I know the formula is
Req= 1/R1+1/R2+1/R3
So Req=1/2+1/1+1/2=2
But 2 is not the correct answer? Am I doing something wrong? Please help, thanks!
1 AnswerPhysics6 years agoBigCatDerek Merch review?
Hi I've been wanting to buy the crew-neck that says "killplaykillplaykillplay" but I wanted to hear some reviews first? There aren't exactly any on the website. I was just wondering if the crew-neck seemed to run smaller or larger than normal? Like, I wear a small but if it's really big I wont enjoy wearing it around as much, you know? Plus it's pretty expensive so I want to make sure I'll wear it to support BigCatDerek and CARE! ALSO about t-shirts? Preferably the woman sized shirts, do they tend to run smaller or larger? Also does the white t-shirt tend to be too see-through? Any reviews on any product would be appreciated really :)

1 AnswerPhysics6 years agoHow to trace an unknown/blocked/private number?
The past few days I've been getting numerous calls from a blocked number. At first it was just silence but now it's gotten obnoxious. When/if I answer they play this narwhal song...and if I don't answer they leave me the song as a voicemail. It's super annoying and I would like to know who it is but I need to find the number behind it. I am not willing to pay $4/month as some of these companies want me to because it is only the one caller who is bothering me. I use a smart phone but I am unsure how to use the *67 or 57 method on a cell phone. Please help!
