Does anyone know their pay structure There is a guy at my work, that I just started, that works a 2nd job at macy s selling gucci fragrance.

This guy was insulting me and saying how cheap i was even though he barely knows me. So i was basically insulted and bullied into buying this damn purfume that costs $100.

And now he s trying to ask me if I gave gucci samples to my bf...so he can pressure me to buy more stuff from him

I m thinking of returning the perfume, cuz i m pissed that i was pretty much insulted by this ghetto piece of trash. I seriously don t even know how he works in a office job. He s really ghetto.

I'm struggling to get a good job, but I see many foreigners who already have jobs. These jobs should be going to Americans first.

what actions can I take? When a company tells me that they have received so many applications etc.., then the US needs to stop letting in so many foreigners.

I was recently given an assignment that was to last indefinitely by an agency.

The co. I was placed in at the time was about to have a new controller come in, so they were training her. Also, there was some snow days, so some of the employees that I was working w/ did not come in. Also, the co. was going through some restructuring, so there was a day when their system was down and no one could do work, I was sent home early that day.

Then the day I returned back to work, I was called in by the manager, saying that they were backed up and loaded w/ work due to all these issues, and b/c of that they have to end the assignment. Although he did say to follow up with him, b/c they will be needing someone in the future, and I would be the first choice.

I was upset, bc this was not my fault. I showed up every single day, even when it snowed. I cared more about the work and co. when the others did not. e.g I would I would ask where does so and so go..and the perm employee would be like..oh it doesn t matter..just throw it in there.

Anyways..i m trying to follow up, but no response yet. But is there any legal action I can take.. in case they forget about me and go w/ someone else?

I went for an interview last Friday morning for a p/t position that is an assistant to the accounting dept.

The interview was very short...First the HR lady greeted me and handed me a jpacket with the benefits information, background ect. Sha said if we move forward then turn that in.

.then the manager came in and was dressed very casually..She goes so comfortable doing data entry etc..so .you're doing your masters at the moment?

Then she was like do you have any questions for me? i did ask mainly about the job requ8irements etc...

She said they'll make a decision but next week...which should be this week.idk.. the interview just seemed so rused so i'm not sure what they'd be basing they're decision off of.

First on the phone interview she says they want someone to start dec. 1..but in the interview she said the first week of dec. She also said they're very flexible with schedules.

I'm thinking of following up this morning. I'm not sure what to do?

What are the "tricks" for getting hired at a hotel? i've been applying to marriott, hilton, a couple of lesser known...but no luck...i never get a call back.

I also have experience in the hospitality industry...the airline

In poor countries you see poor people with many children. But how? they live in the most desolate environment. Plus they prob don't get much to eat. So how are they even healthy enough to have kids. you would think when the mother gives birth, both the mother and child will die.

It's just so mind boggling to me.

last week i tried to call this co. that posted a position on my univ. career site. No one answered so i left a msg.

Yesterday i got a call from a lady saying she received my msg. she said to her my resume so she can set up an interview for either tuesday or wed.

She never responded back to me after i sent my resume to set up an interview. So tried calling the office a couple to time, but it kept going to her vm. so finally today i called her cell bc she had it listed on her email that she sent it me. I'm not sure if she was turned off by me calling her cell. But when i asked her if she received my resume, she was like "yea i got it, but i'm waiting for my partner. He's on travel right now..i'll let you know when we make a decision."

SO now i'm confused, bc before she was like we'll set up an interview once isend over my resume..but now she's like she's waiting for her partner....

they never have to be pregnant...have the best jobs..and more options for jobs...are stronger etc...

during the times when they, which was for maybe thousands of years up until modern times, had laws that actually said it was legal for a man to beat his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb.

Did they not feel insulted that there was an actual law ike that..byt not one for men? Why did women think it was ok to be treated like a little child by her husband>

this is a customer service/sales kind of job. It doesn't seem like a kind of job or co. i want to be in the long run. I wouldn't mind going full time...if the co. had many other positions that i could eventually grow into. It looks like their growth potential is somewhat limited.

I told the manager i was interested in the pt position. I think this way at least i could get some pocket money at the same time keep looking and applying for other jobs. The manager said to come in tomorrow to discuss more about it?

What do you think is the best option?
