i find that people dislike me because i tell it like it is. i can be sarcastic, but don't worry, i'll let you know when. (now) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mF16vB3GfGM i'm a friend of wisdom (pun intended). if you're an aquarius, do not e-mail me. hahah, i'm just joking. only if you're a taurus. LOL. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5OfeCYrYZE other than that, i'm usually fun to be around. ps. i have solved einstein's puzzle, the one with the fish. i was 14 and something. however, this doesn't mean i now would solve it more easily. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IDYwZUK1jY http://lolcats.com/ if there is a god, his name is lindsey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJyzijG0I0k

  • my cat is three months old and doesn't seem to drink water?

When I'm at home I sometimes watch him eating his food, but he doesn't seem to drink any water.

When I leave, of course I fill both of his bowls, but when I return they are out of place and empty and sometimes upside down (he plays with them, apparently), so I can't tell how much water he's drunk, if any.

So, he complains because he's hungry, I fill both of his bowls again, he eats his food, but I don't see him drink any water!

His weight and mood are perfectly normal; he plays with me, he purrs, he fights with his toys like a cute little hunter he is, but I'm curious why he doesn't drink water.

  • are you familiar with the card game called ''palermo''?

i'm very curious because i can't find any references on the internet, and most of the people i ask seem not to have heard of it.

it is played with the common pack.

so, the rules are something like this:

-it can be played by five players or above -the more the better.

-from five to seven players, we distinguish one card that is going to be ''the killer'', another one that is going to be ''the cop'' and three or five more (according to how many players there are), which are simple ''civilians''.

-there is a narrator (who can be a player of the game or not, it doesn't matter) who starts narrating: ''the night falls on palermo, we close our eyes, the killer raises their hand and only the cop opens their eyes to identify them. now the killer puts down their hand, the cop closes their eyes again, and now we all open our eyes again''.

-so basically, only one player (the cop) knows who the killer is, but nobody knows who the cop is.

-now we start introducing our suspicions, such as ''i think it's you because you're smiling'', ''i think it's you because you're making nervous moves'', or anything each person thinks is suspicious about another.

    -then we vote.

-the cop, who knows who the killer is, must not vote the killer on the first round, because well, that would be lame and finish the game.

-whoever has the most votes (because the players just thought that ''he'' was the killer), is kind of thrown out of the game.

-now if the voted person is indeed the killer, they say ''i'm the killer'', the game finishes and we start another.

-if not, they say ''i'm not'', but DO NOT reveal who they are.

-so, if the voted person is not the killer, we continue to round 2, where the narrator starts again: ''the night falls for once more on palermo, we close our eyes, the killer opens their eyes and tell the ''thrown out'' person who is going to be eliminated in this round. now the killer close their eyes and once more we all open our eyes''.

-and thus, someone whom the killer probably thinks is a good/clever player or the cop (who can help in later rounds, not by saying ''i'm the cop and you must vote him a the killer'' though..), is eliminated.

-and once again, in the second round, the players start introducing their suspicions, and so the game goes until they eliminate the killer.

if the players are eight or above, we distinguish two cards who are going to be ''the killers'', but the rest stay the same. the rules here change a little, in the beginning of the narration/game, but in general they stay the same, too. ..

SO. i hope that wasn't too long and boring, and i hope that IF there's any chance you've played a game like this, you will tell me how you call it ('cause i don't think it's universally called ''palermo'') or variations of the game/rules.

    thank you. xD

  • can you help me with the meanings of some (english) words?

well, the word ''witch'' is used to describe specifically a female sorcerer.

isn't the equivalent male a ''wizard''? or is it a ''warlock''? (i thought warlock is the bad wizard, but hopefully you can clear this out for me)

secondly, a ''magician'' is not a real ''witch'' or ''wizard'' (or ''warlock'') because magicians do tricks in reality, not magic. is this correct? (because wikipedia says a ''magician'' is a sorcerer, they use magic, but i have learned otherwise).

now, please note that the question is not whether this kind of people and things exist, it is about the correct use of these english words.

    thank you in advance.
