above, you can see, that count is the button, sup is the JTextArea. The first if statement, is working at fine. It tells it, that if there is nothing in the TextArea, then print 0, but if there is one word, println(words) which would make it one. The else is what I need help with. Right now it just print words, which counts all the spaces, and adds 1. Most of the time it works, but if there is more than one space in a row, then it adds an extra one. If you can help me with that it would be great. And if you have a completely different way of doing it, that would be fine too. Thanks.
