Neutered cat suddenly aggressive towards me.?
My six year old neutered cat suddenly became aggressive towards me today after I volunteered with the cats at the SPCA. He's been hissing and biting and generally mean. This is not my first time volunteering, and he had not had adverse reactions in the past. He's not aggressive towards anyone else in the family, so I'm guessing I've picked up some scent or something at the shelter.
What I want to know is am I right? If not, what could've caused it? If so, when can I expect him to go back to normal? In both cases, what can I do about it? I don't necessarily need him to be affectionate - just so long as he's not aggressive towards me.

Why is ClF5 square pyramidal as opposed to trigonal bipyramidal? Also, why is it stable if Cl ends up with ten electrons bonded?

3 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoIs it true that if you kick a cornstalk, the corn will fall off?
While driving past a cornfield, my dad recounted his childhood days in China, talking about chipping in to harvest corn. Then, he says, "At the end of the day, the girls were still picking them. Most of the guys just ended up kicking." At prompting, he continued, "Well, did you know that if you kick a cornstalk, the ear of corn will pop out?"
...It didn't seem like one of his jokes (and my mom didn't laugh/sigh with disdain), and everything else about the story seemed true. But it's a little weird, hum? Can anyone confirm?
3 AnswersOther - Home & Garden1 decade agoCalculus question (again)!?
A plank is used to reach over a fence 8 ft high to support a wall that is 1 ft behind the fence. What is the length of the shortest plank that can be used? The plank is the hypotenuse of a triangle formed by the wall and the ground.
How do I even begin approaching this? The hint is that I'm supposed to express the length of the plank in terms of the angle opposite the wall.

I cannot make heads nor tails of this.
During the summer months Mr. Stadler will be building a stained glass jewelry box. The frame of the box is to be built from a 48 in. strip of zinc to form a rectangular box whose base is twice as long as it is wide.
a) Determine how the zinc should be cut to maximize the volume of Mr. Stadler's box.
b) Determine how the zinc should be cut if the total surface area of the box is to be minimized.

Anyone else find it extremely obnoxious that some people are simply copy-pasting answers, with largely irrelevant information?
They might not even have the slightest idea what they're passing on!
Twice in a row, I've given concise, practical answers in a field which I have some expertise in, only to be overwashed by some person copy-pasting from the first page they find on Google Search.

2 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoHardy-Weinberg problem - why am I getting an inconsistency?
Given a population of 15, with 2 homozygous dominant, 8 heterozygous, and 5 homozygous recessive in ideal conditions - that is:
2 AA, 8 Aa, and 5 aa,
one calculates the frequencies as follows in one method, right?
2 * 2 (# of A alleles per AA) + 8 (# of A alleles per AA) = 12
p = 12/30 (# of total alleles in the population) = .4
Therefore q = 1- p = .6.
However, in the other method:
q^2 = 5(# of aa)/15(total number of organisms in population) = 1/3.
q = sqrt(1/3) = ~.57.
Why am I getting a discrepancy? What did I do wrong?

Question.
What I need it for is this:
lim (x approaches 0) of cos^3(x)/2x.
Also, can someone please check the following work?
lim (x approaches 0) of 2 - 2cos(3x)/3x
=> 2/3((1-cos(3x)/x))
=> 2/3 * 3 * 0 = 0

1 AnswerHomework Help1 decade agoIs my calculator being stupid? Limit problem.?
Given:
Limit as x->0 of sin3x/2x.
My work:
Lim sin3x/2x = Lim 3/2 * Lim sinx/x = 3/2 *1 = 3/2,
but my calculator insists that it is zero.
Am I remembering something wrong?
4 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoHELP! Derivative problems, involving the quotient rule and trig!?
The question is:
Given f(x) = 2x/sin3x, find f' of (pi/3).
My work is as follows:
f'(x) = ((sin3x)(2) - 2x(3cos3x))/(sin3x)2
However, this isn't right! Where did I go wrong? And the denominator is equal to zero! How does this work?
