  • Windows Movie Maker/DVD maker question?

I have Windows Vista and have used movie maker and the DVd maker to make family DVDs before. Ive been trying to make one for the last 2 days and Movie Maker works fine but once it transfers it to the DVD maker it starts to encode then stops at around 50% and says error. Or it just freezes. Any advice? (The video length is 90 min, and just to check I tried burning one that was 60 min and it didnt work either so that's not it) Thank you.

Just wondering if anyone else dilated this early and how long they were able to make it. I work with preemies so I know he would be okay in long run, but of course want to make it to fullterm. • CHP academy question?

When does the CHP academy usually start? My husband is taking all the tests in January and February, but we were wondering what month (or months) does the 6 months training academy usually begin? I assume there are several going on at once. Thank you in advance for your answers.

  • Xbox 360 wont load Rock Band?

We just bought Rock band and it's all brand new. It took us 30 min to get the xbox to recognize the game and play it. The next day when we went to play it took us a few minutes of having to insert and the re-insert it to work. Now it wont recognize the game, or it will start to load and say it's unreadable and to clean the disc. It's a brand new disc and thee are no scratches. My husband said his x-box has done this before but never like this and he can play his other new game (Halo 3) with no problems. I'm not sure what to do. Thanks.

  • Sony handy cam not detected when plugged in with ilink cable?

My Sondy handycam is connected with an ilink cable to my PC. I have previously been able to use it to transfer videos and have never had a problem. Tonight however, my computer is saying it's not detecting the handycam with the ilink. I have the handycam in playback mode like I'm supposed too and in the screen of my handycam it says "DV in" so it shows it's connected. Not sure what to do. Thanks you.for any help you can give!

  • First day of period/BBT question?

I have always spotted before my actual period began, and since it was brown I didn't count it. Well the last few months the spotting has been red. So to try and clear things up I started tracking my temps again like I did before I had both kids. This month what happened was I ovulated, and 10 days of high temps, had 2 days of bright red spotting (temps still elevated), then they dropped down yesterday, and my spotting stopped yesterday, then today I got a heavy period. So what would you count? Usually your temps go down the day before or the day of your period so should I Icount today as my period? The fact that my temps were still elevated for the 2 days of spotting is still part of my luteal phase then right?? Thank you so much :)

  • What counts as first day of period?

I spotted for 2 days, red, (not brown which I know would not be counted as it would mean old blood) and enough to where I had to wear a panty liner. The 3rd day I woke up with all the cramps that I usually get the first day and had an actual flow. Should I count the first day of red, or the 3ed day with the actual flow and menstrual cramps? Thanks :)

  • what to count as first day of period?

I get so confused on what to count as my first day of my period. I spotted this month for 2 days, red, not brown which I know would have meant old blood. Then on the day 3 I started the actual flow. Do I count the first day of red, even if it was just spotting, or the 1st day of actual flow?? Thank you :)

  • I have questions about MRSA?

I had what I thought to be a spider bite last week, but it got really big and swollen. I went to the doctor and he said it looked like staph, put me on an antibiotic (sulfamethoxzl) and told me to use heating pad to bring pus to surface and it would drain. It's draining now and looks disgusting. I went back a few days ago and asked for it be cultured because I knew it wasn't just a spider bite and then today found out it was MRSA. I'm freaking out, because I have a 3 year old and a 5 month old. I'm keeping it covered, and washing hands frequently. The doctor just had someone call me and say to just continue the antibiotics. If I hadn't researched it I would have though it was no big deal by the way they are acting. Has anyone had experience with this? What happened? Were you able to keep others from getting it? I'm really scared. I've read about people dying from this if it enters bloodstream.

  • Question about babies born at 35 weeks?

Have you, or anyone you know of, delivered a baby at 35 weeks? If so how big was the baby, and what, if any problems did the baby have? Alos, did the baby have to stay in the NICU, or did/her she go home when mom was discharged.

I work with premature babies born under 34 weeks, so I know about the problems premiees face, but I dont much about what happens at 35 weeks. I'm currently 35 weeks and 5 days, and dilated to 3 and 80% effaced. I've been on meds to stop labor, and 2 weeks ago was given steroid shots to help mature the baby's lungs, but just in case I was wondering. Thank you.

  • Tributaine questions?

I went into preterm labor at 33 weeks, 2 weeks ago. I was dilated to 2 and 75% effaced. I was first put on Nifedipine, but I broke out in a nasty rash after a week, so I was told to stop taking it. Within 24 hours I was having painless contractions, but they were frequent, so I went yesterday to the doctor and am now dilated to 3. I've been put on Tributaline, 1 pill every 4 hours. The only side effect to me so far is that I'm really jittery, which I was told by my doctor could happen. I have to stay on it until this Saturday, when I reach 36 weeks gestation. I've read about this drug, and know it's really for asthma, and there is some controversary over it. I was just wondering what your experiences are/were with it. How far along did you reach? How long after stopping it did you go into labor? How was your baby, and side effects? Thank you

  • 3D/4D sonograms?

I'm having a 3D/4D sonogram on Saturday, when I'll be 28 weeks. If you've had one of these sonograms can you tell me how far along you were, and what your experience was like. If the baby has been born, did the sonogram pictures look like your newborn? Thank you.

  • Question about a Jehova Witnesses belief?

A woman in my town had to have an emergency C-section. Her husband and her mother were there. Her husband and she were Jehova's Witnesses, and her mother is Catholic. During the C-section she started hemmoraging and she passed out. The doctors told her husband she needed a blood transfusion to save her life. Of course her mother said to give it to her, but it was up to the husband, who stated that JW's dont believe in blood transfusions and she couldn't have one. They tried other things, but told the husband again that she needed the transfusuion or she would die, but he stood by his beliefs. Well she ended up dying on the table, never meeting her baby. Her parents are very very upset over this obviously too. Now this of course has sparked a lot of conversation around town and I was wondering why blood transfusions are prohibited, even in cases like this. I just cant imagine that God wouldn't want a baby to be raised by his/her mom. Any insight and/or thoughts on this would be great.

  • Has anyone had the fetal fibronectin test?

I had this test done today and it was negative, meaing I should not go into labor within the next 2 weeks, which is good since I'm only 23 weeks along. If you've had this test, what was the outcome of the test, and was it correct? Thank you.

  • Question about a dog attack?

I came home today to find one of my 2 dogs all bloody. The neighbor to my back has 2 pittbulls, and 1 got through the fence to my yard and attacked my Boxer. My German Shepherd defended my dog and nearly ripped the pitt's ear off. The neighbor apparantly had to jump in my yard and spray the dogs off with hoses to get them to quit. My dog is having to have surgery on some infected puncture wounds, and the bill is $725. Is it the neighbor's responsibility to pay the bill for my dog? The board that the dog got through was on his side of the fence, if that makes a difference. Thank you.

  • Experience with dopplers for at home use?

Has anyone used an at home doppler to hear the heartbeat? How far along were you when you first heard it?

I don't mean the listning device with headphones designed for the 3rd trimester, I mean the one you can rent on-line, that's like the one the doctor's use.

  • Has anyone's doctor been wrong about their pregnancy?

I had the most tramatic experience yesterday. I'm 6 1/2 weeks pregnant. I had felt some mild pain my lower left side and the doctor did an ultrasound just to check where the baby was. Well she couldn't find the baby, not even a sac. She got me an appointment at radiology 7 hours later (the longest 7 hours of my life) for a more detailed scan to see if they could locate the pregnany in my tubes. My HCG's were over 24,000 so we knew there was a baby with a beating heart somewhere. She had also told me she felt a mass on my left side, perhaps in my tube. She talked to me about surgery for an ectopic and what would happen and all that. Well last night after a 25 minute scan where the tech didn't say a word at first, just looked really serious, she finally looked at me and saw I was upset, and then turned the screen around and showed me my baby and it's beating heart in my uterus. I couldn't believe it. I shareb this to remind people that doctors are not always correct and to keep hope.

  • Can't find baby at 6 weeks 4 days pregnant?

m 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I know exactly when I got pregnant and used temeprature tracking, so my dates are not off. My HCG levels were checked last week and they were normal and going up appropriately. The last level was at 5778 and by the time the level reaches 2000 there is at least a sac. Today the doctor did a vaginal ultrasound and couldn't find anything, not even a sac. She looked in the tube and on the ovary and all's she could see was small cysts. I'm going to the radiology department tonight for a better scan. Has anyone had this happen and what was the outcome. Thanks you.
