3D/4D sonograms?

I'm having a 3D/4D sonogram on Saturday, when I'll be 28 weeks. If you've had one of these sonograms can you tell me how far along you were, and what your experience was like. If the baby has been born, did the sonogram pictures look like your newborn? Thank you.

I had several with my son. I had polyhydramnios and because of that, they had to do close monitoring twice a week. I was about 30 weeks when I started having them and had them all the way up to 40 weeks when I had him. The experience was amazing. I remember the first one I had and when they showed me a view of his face, I began to cry because I could see his little face and his lips and everything. And yes he looked JUST like the ultrasound pics when he was born. If you want, I could email you a picture of him when he was born and a picture of the ultrasound so you can see how he looked just like the ultrasound shots. Just email me if you want!

I am 34 weeks preg and have had 3, 3D/4D ultrasounds. The first was at 19 weeks + 6 days and was amazing. The 2nd was at 30 weeks + 6 days and with the baby being much larger and less co-operative i was slightly dissapointed. Then my 3rd was at 32 weeks + 6 days and although the baby wouldn't move it's hands away from it's face we did manage to get 1 decent picture. I will have to say though that the 19 week one was by far the clearest. I don't regret having all 3 scans, it's so wonderful to see your baby while it's still in utero. Good luck and enjoy it...

i had one 2 weeks ago, but I was only 20 weeks... They say to drink lots of water because the more fluid around the baby the better the chance of a picture... My picture didn't show much, but she said it turns out much better when you are farther along. She had some up in the room, of the ultrasound and newborn picture, they look similar, but I would never NOT get one because it would ruin it, it isn't all that clear, although it will look like it to you on Sat! Your baby still has 12 weeks to grow and change!!! Good luck!!! It is a great experience!

i'm 34 weeks preg and have had 3, 3-D/4D ultrasounds. the 1st was once at 19 weeks + 6 days and was once physically powerful. The 2d was once at 30 weeks + 6 days and with the teen being lots greater suitable and not greater co-operative i used to be particularly dissapointed. Then my third was once at 32 weeks + 6 days and although the teen does no longer pass it is palms sparkling of it is face we did control to get a million first fee photograph. i could have have been given to assert besides the actuality that that the 19 week one was once by way of a approaches the clearest. i do no longer experience sorry approximately having all 3 scans, it is so specific to look your teen on an identical time because it is besides the actuality that for the duration of utero. sturdy fulfillment and enjoy it...

I had a 3d/4d ultrasound at 20 weeks. I prefer the 4d ones to the 3d ones, The 3d ones are cool and everything but the 4d ones are much more clear So you can see more stuff. I hope this helped good luck!!!

I would never get one of those! Although I would be curious, it would ruin the surprise when the baby is born.

However, my friend is 28 weeks along, and had gotten one last week. If you google 4D sonogram, it shows you before and after pics- they all look really good to me!

    Congrats on your baby :o)

We have two little girls and we did the 4D imaging and all I can say is that it's worth it, we saw their faces and we watched them, smile, yawn, suck the thumb ( one of them).

It is really nice, you wont regret it, it does look a little weird at the begining, but have in mind that they are in a bag! good luck.

I NEVER HAD A SONOGRAM, BUT IF I WOULD HAVE ANOTHER CHILD,

I WOULD DEFINITELY WANT ONE TO SEE HOW A CHILD LOOKS INSIDE YOUR BODY...

I THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT...
