I've recently taken up running and although at first I was pretty rubbish, I quickly improved and have now quadrupled what I could do a few weeks ago.

However my speed is being seriously hampered by my ankle, I was forced to take 5 days break from running due to circumstances outside of my control when I had been running every day. Coming off this break, my ankle hurts even when stationery, but especially so when I run and even more so when I run on uneven surfaces. It feels a bit like I may have twisted it but I don't know, I'm not a very sporty person and don't know anything about sports related injuries.

Should I push through this or rest it or ice pack or heat pack or what? I'm totally ignorant, it's not unbearable maybe 1-2 on pain when stationery and 3-4 when running.

I've been chatting to this guy for about 2 months now, we met online and realised we only lived down the road from each other. However within a week of talking I had to move home for 3 weeks, so the relationship was forced to blossom over skype, which I think is the basis of the problems.. Anyway when I eventually moved back and we met up, I hardly felt any connection with him. We just went for coffee, and he was lovely and nice, but I was just a bit bored and didn't really feel it. So I wasn't a dick about it, I told him that and he said it was up to me if I wanted to see him again. I eventually said yes and we started seeing each other more often, eventually kissing and stuff and I do like spending time with him.

Anyway that continued for maybe 3 weeks, and then recently he told me his ex had contacted him and said he was still in love with him. This apparently 'threw him off' and he said he wants to distance himself from me whilst he sorts his head out. That was a week ago and he hasn't talked to me since. I really don't know what to do now.. because I do miss him, or maybe I just miss the attention he gave me.. But bare in mind I still don't feel a deep bond with him, but I do love being with him..

When I'm with him I really think it could work, but when I'm not I start to have doubts.

I'm not sure whether to take this break he's called as a blessing in disguise, or whether to try and get back to where we were before.

Any thoughts?

I bought a 32GB USB stick at what I thought was a complete bargain (£10). Anyway, it arrives and the end doesn't look like a normal USB (a metal silver case with lines and squares), it is black plastic with some gold metal lines on one side of it. It won't fit in any of my USB 2.0 ports, even though the description said it was a USB 2.0 memory stick and the packaging states that also.

I am extremely confused.. I've owned several memory sticks and had no trouble with them, but I have never seen one that looks like this before and I can't figure out why it won't fit in my USB ports.

Any ideas?

My cousin is struggling with her homework and I barely scraped a B a gcse 2 years ago. I have no idea and can't find it online, if memory serves 6w means 6 multiplied by w. But what does w6 mean? (it is not w^6 but actually w6)

I got a camera for christmas as my old one broke. It's just a little digital one (fugifilm finepix xp30). However my old camera used a micro SD card and my new one uses just normal SD. The new one hasn't come with a memory card. I'm wondering if it's possible to use a micro SD to SD adaptor cartridge in my camera as these are cheaper than a whole new card.

My mum always seemed confident to me when I was growing up, but recently I've been seeing another side of her, a more insecure side. She's very beautiful, and she often looks to me for style advice (I'm the fashionable son haha), but I'm not very good with fashion for middle aged women, y'know? And she's been saying things to me like "sometimes I look at my clothes and think how old I'm getting" and it's just so upsetting. Is there anything I could do for her? I've bought her little accessories and things like belts and braclets etc but I can't really afford big things. And we never have time to shop together, though I would love to. Any ideas?

I don't like windows live mail, I don't remember installing it. It would appear the accounts have synchronised, I removed my outlook account from the windows live mail account, but when i click e-mail in picasa, windows live mail still opens. I even uninstalled windows live mail and it still opens! Why won't it leave me alone. How do I get it so that when I click'e-mail' in picasa, it opens with outlook express?

If you're an employer, how would you react to this email? If you're not, how do you think you'd react.

I get that it's quite short, but it feels strange to type out alot about myself. This is an unsolicited e-mail, i just heard they were hiring, but i've not seen any help wanted signs anywhere, which is why i'm wary of being boring or too pushy.

I am very very confused. I have a netgear 54 mbps wireless ADSL modem router DG834G v3.

I go into settings>Wi-Fi>I tap NETGEAR, which has full signal and a little padlock next to it>It asks for the password.

I DON'T KNOW THE PASSWORD!

It says on the router that the password is 'password', but it isn't, that doesn't work.

After following setup instructions, I typed in a code into my internet browser and I was then prompted for a username and password. The manual told me that the username was admin and the password was password. I typed those in. Then the manula said that I would see a menu, but I didn't. It opened a wepage. I went to the password section (wanting to change my password to a less obvious password) and changed it.

But what I changed it to isn't the password either :(

The message on the iPod is: Unable to join the network "NETGEAR".

Then the only option is to dismiss the message and try the password again :(

There is no other information about passwords on the router, and I've lost most of the documents that came with the router.

I can connect on my wired computer and on my laptop, but not on my iPod touch (2nd gen) or on my Wii.

I drew something, uploaded as grayscale (like usual), then opened it in GIMP. I went to fill an object with colour and it filled it with grey :( I tried a different colour - a different shade of grey. When I click Hue-saturation it says this tool has no options in the side bar.

How can I make it so that the colour works?

I have drawn a picture, uploaded, editted and arranged it, but it just needs that finishing touch.

I need something like a star to put on the picture (not just one big star but lots of little ones). But it can't be a star. It just can't, for reasons best known to me :P

The picture is of guys, so it can't be flowers, love hearts, butterflys etc.

Skulls wouldn't suit the picture...

I have racked my brains and I can't think of anything else... Am I being to fussy?

Oh yeh, it all needs to be the same sort of thing. e.g different colours, but the same shape etc.

Yes, I am using CD-R disks.

It's really annoying me because I usually just do it through iTunes but when I did it on iTunes today i pressed burn then it said 'checking media...' and then didn't do anything.

Now I have it in my music folder, I select the song and press burn, it brings up a message saying to name the disk, I do it then sometimes it works and sometimes it says 'cannot write to this disk'. But even if it successfully goes onto the disk it won't play in my CD player...

It is a M4A file and it plays in Windows Media Player (but that might just be because of my audio splitter)

I only need the one song on the disk and I need it for tomorrow.

Basically, I have slected something with the free select tool, but I want to select EVRYTHING BUT what I have selcted.

If you are still confused: I am trying to change the colour of the backgroaund around this object. So I have selcted the object, but I need to know how to swap what I have selected so that it is everything in the picture EXCEPT what I have selcted (my object).

This is so vague... I'm really sorry, I can't explain it any better though.
