  • Was it rude of my boss to be "too busy" to open the gift I gave her?

If you give a Christmas gift to a coworker & they don't open it, is that rude? I gave very special gifts to all 3 coworkers & my boss. 2 of the coworkers did open them & loved them, the 3rd coworker thanked me & put the gift away unopened & my boss said she was "way too busy" to open the gift then. She claimed she would open it before the work day was over but I thought, I'm not going to beg this hag to open my present. I feel it was rude of her not to take literally 20 seconds to open the gift. What does everyone else think?

  • Is chocolate dangerous to squirrells?

I have some chocolate nut clusters that I got that I don't want. I was going to put them out for the squirrels because they are nuts BUT if chocolate is dangerous for them (like it is for dogs), then I won't. Does anyone know?

  • Catholics: sex for procreation only?

I have heard that the strictest interpretation of sex for married Catholics is that sex is for procreation/to have children (this is why they don't believe in birth control). So might this mean that, in the stricted interpretation, that if a married Catholic couple didn't wish to have children, they probably shouldn't have sex? Catholics, what do you think about this? Thank you.

  • Do ugly people realize that they're ugly?

I know this woman. She is ugly. Needless to say, she gets no dates. Do you think when ugly people look in the mirror they realize that they're ugly and this is why they don't get any dates?

  • Why does the "Kinara" candelabra of Kwanzza look suspiciously like a Menorah?

In the recently-made-up black "holiday" of Kwanzza, one of the items is a candelabra called a Kinara. It looks just like a Menorah. Why couldn't those who invented Kwanzza come up with a more original item? And more importantly, since most blacks I know don't even celebrate Kwanzza, why is it forced onto everyone?

  • Do you think ugly people realize that they are ugly?

I know of this woman. She is 44, unmarried, never been married, and only had a few boyfriends and dates her whole life. She is very homely. I look at her and stare sometimes, I can't believe how ugly she is. Do you think she realizes that she is ugly and this is why she can't get dates?

  • Should kids speak English when Trick-or-Treating in the US?

I live in a suburb of one of the largest US cities. The suburb I live in is mostly white (Italian & Polish) & perhaps 20% or so minorities. Anyways, during trick-or-treating on Halloween, these Mexican kids came (and yes I do believe they were MEXICAN as opposed to Cuban, Puerto Rican, etc. due to the demographics in our town so all your politically correct a$$-clowns can STFU) - I gave each of the 3 of them candy & the little girl clutched at my hand & kept saying, "Groso. Groso" I tried to indicate that I didn't understand what she was saying, but her 2 brothers were already on their way & her parents waved & thanked me & were already walking to the next house.

First, I would love to know what she meant. Did "groso" mean she wanted a larger piece of candy? Does anyone know what "groso" means?

Secondly, do you think kids who are US citizens & trick-or treat should speak English to the people whose doors they go to?

  • Why do 99% of all e-mail scams originate out of Nigeria?

You all know, those e-mails we all get that say things like, "Please sir, I wish to share this opportunity with you, My late husband, who was a millionaire and the Royal King of ..." etc. . My question is, why Nigeria specifically? Why not Ghana, or Namibia, or Austria, or Iceland, or Guam, etc. I personally would think that such scams would originate from Switzerland seeing as they have those liberal banking laws, but no. So, why Nigeria specifically? Does Nigeria have liberal banking laws?

  • What age can kids comprehend/understand that not everyone will win a prize?

I work in a children's recreational program. (we have around 60 kids who are in grades K-5) Please settle an argument. I feel that kindergarten-age (6 years old) is old enough for a child to be able to understand that not everyone who plays the game (like when we have parties) will win a toy or prize or treat. My boss, Pat, insists that kindergarteners simply CANNOT grasp this concept, (but yet, magically, 1st graders can) & that there must be an actual prize/toy for EACH kindergartners even if they didn't win the game. I could understand if a child was 3 years old, but kindergartners are 6 & I feel this age IS appropriate for them to learn that not everyone gets a toy/prize.

I would love to know everyone else's opinion about this, particularly any Early Childhood educators out there. Thanks!

  • Why do so many black men not cut their pinkie fingernails?

I have noticed this on black men but no other demographic group: their fingernails are trimmed but NOT THE PINKIE fingernails. The pinkie fingernails are sort of long. I think this looks wierd, but I am wondering WHY they do it. Is it some sort of sexual thing?

  • Hone long will plain cooked rice keep?

Yesterday evening I ordered Chinese food (it arrived at 5pm). They gave me a big container of plain cooked white rice along with everything else I ordered. I plan on doctoring it up with some vegetables, etc. & eating it over the next few days. My question is, how long will it be good for? I figure I'll have eaten it all up by Wednesday evening - it will still be good by then, right?

  • Why do many people refuse to accept truth?

Let's say there is a fact, which RESEARCH supports, like let's say it's that 90% of people with blue hair are shoplifters. You present this FACT to blue haired people & they refuse to accept it because the fact in question is something that they don't like (it's negative data). Why can't they just accept the reality? Why all the denial?

  • Why are most black children born out of wedlock?

For those of you who are going to whine & say "where are your facts", HERE they are, on page 2:

    http://articles.cnn.com/2009-04-08/living/out.of.w...

CNN states that while 28% of white children are born out of wedlock, nearly 72% of black children are. WHY is this?

  • Why do Blacks have to make up nicknames for everyone?

It seems like they never use their real names & are constantly using nicknames like Lil' Wayne, Lil Bow Wow, Nas, Puffy. P-Diddy,Lil' Kim, Mos Def, Common, etc. And even the regular every day people call each other nicknames like NayNay, etc. I never hear of Asians, Hispanics or Whites doing this, only Blacks. Why is this?

  • Why do so many black women who serve the public have bad attitudes?

Two examples: the post office & the DMV. Many black women work at these jobs & they all seem very surly and rude to the customers. Black MALES and both genders of any other race do NOT have this bad attitude to the customers. Why is this?

  • Why do blacks have so many family reunions?

Ive been exposed to and worked with people of many races and nationalities. And it seems like every summer, black families have 'family reunions' and they all get t-shirts that say 'Tate Family Reunion' and they have parties out in parks and all these relatives come up from 'the South' or where ever. Why is this?

Instead of saying, "Terrell lives in Compton", they say, "Terrell stays in Compton". I have noticed most black people say this. Why is this?
