Hi everyone I'm Darren from Northern Ireland now living in England. I am a keen Zoologist having completed my PhD in 2009. I have specifically studied Felidae and Ursidae and would consider these both my favourite animals and favourite to study. I have a lifelong keen interest in the natural world and a more recent interest in physics, specifically theoretical physics, cosmology and quantum mechanics. I am a huge fan of Sir David Attenborough, Richard Dawkins and have read and followed many of their works. ON THIS FORUM I DO NOT correct or point out inaccuracies in other answers to feed an ego or any other negative reasons, I do so because the asker and all alike are entitled to read and understand accurate, good quality information and not be presented with conflicting and inaccurate information, after all they asked their question in order to receive the 'answer'
Evolution refuted for the FINAL time...?
So, if we were apes, that might be evidence for evolution. But as we are just monkeys without tails or climbing trees, it disproves it all. I mean, monkeys were never born as apes, so evolution is fake. Who can deny this ?
10 AnswersJokes & Riddles5 years agoAnother point that disproves evolution...?
I heard that these things called genetic motions or something are what change animals into another one after sex. But, and here is the problem - they take millions of years to happen, so how evolution have had enough time for these motions to take place ?

1 AnswerTrivia7 years agoFormat and layout nightmare...?
When I clicked on the US button at the bottom (to select the United States Q&A's), the format and layout of the page changed to something horrible and unfathomable ! So I went to my profile and instead hovered over the 'browse categories' button instead and accessed zoology (my natural home !) that way, in the normal way. So, have you experienced this...what is going on ?!
2 AnswersYahoo Answers8 years agoDigital Tachograph issue?
A friend of mine was telling me about an issue he had this week with the Digital Tachograph (DT) in the lorry he was driving. I said I would ask the question on this forum for him. If I get this inaccurate or leave info out, I'm sorry, I only had his quick note to go on !...
- Been happening previous 4 duties, the duties are 3.5 hours driving, then a break, then 3.5 hours driving. Then end of shift. Each shift is a 1930 start and about 0530 finish...
- When he starts the duty for the day (about 1930) and sets off, after 45 minutes the DT warns him a break is due in 15 minutes time (at the 4 hour 15 mins point, 15 mins before the maximum allowed 4.5 hours before a break must be taken).
- But this is just 45 driving minutes into the duty. It seems the DT is not recognising the end of the previous shift and is adding the time on from the previous shift as though it is the same shift. This makes sense because the previous shift driving time ended on 3.5 hours, meaning that a warning after a further 45 minutes to take a break in 15 minutes time ties in.
- But of course, this should not be happening, why is this happening ?
If you need more info, it will probably have to wait until I see him again...
2 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation8 years agoAny religion trumps science and darwin...?
This occored to me the other day actually - I only beleive in 1 religion, but actually the others are more true than any science or darwin evolutionm anyway. This is so obvious, you only need to read a few pages of any religion to know this ! How can atheists not know this ?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoNatural selection is god anyway...?
So Darwin claimed to invent evolution by natural selection. But what he denies is that god is the natural selector. The bible is supreme truth of god as the ultimate judge of what lives and dies, how can Darwin avoid this obvious point and pretend natural selection 'just happens' ?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoOh your god, I just heard christians did not invent christmas...?
No, vegans did. But then why is there not an association with eating meat ? Oh wait, they don't eat meat...I mean fruit ?

As we all know, the earth is a few thousand years old. So what is all this evolution fairytale about ?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoChallenge to sexual selection in peacocks...?
Do you have any knowledge of, or a link to this information. It regards the recent study and subsequent peer reviewed paper of an apparent challenge to sexual selection among peacocks. I can only find a brief summary of the paper which is inadequate to conclude anything useful. I appreciate the paper is most likely behind a paywall, but perhaps you may have subscription and I can cadge a look ! All I know so far is that the eyespots were covered to observe the peahen responses which apparently were not in line with expected behaviour along traditional sexual lines.
Thank you in advance...

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIntelligently created evolutionism...?
There it is, the solution to the problem - combine intelligent design, creationism and evolution ! Believe the earth is billions of years old on alternate days with a young earth age on the others. Surely by combining the ideas together we can live in harmony ?
Who is onboard ?...
