Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding Islamic banking and didn't know where to ask it! So here we go...We don't have a savings account as its interest based. We do have a checking account. The thing is, we have a sizable amount of money in our checking account and I was worried that this might not be a good thing. Say we lose our debit cards, check book gets stolen etc.

And I dont want to open an interest based savings account, so what do we do? Is there any bank out there who could provide such savings account?

If not, is there way I can keep a large amount of money in an interest free account somewhere? if yes what type fo account would it be?

We have booked 5 nights at treasure island..Expedia says its 4 star...wondering how people found it. Which restaurants are good in there?

We are going to vegas after the 4th july weekend, we already have tickets to the O show and stay at Treasure Island. Any suggestions on which places to see, where to eat, what to do etc.

I have a VW beetle. My check engine light has been on forever. We had it fixed 4 months ago and the mass air flow thing was changed. 2 days later it was back again

Also my car always has a startup problem when its left out in the sun...its 100 up in Austin here.

Whenever the temp fell to low 40 the light just goes away! I know its weird but the entire last winter the check engine light was on n off.

Now i got the codes read again and here they are. We have an appt with the dealership soon and I was wondering how much is it going to cost us

We are planning to do serious smoothies everyday for breakfast etc. So we need something that will grind whole fruit, frozen fruits, flax seeds, pine apple etc.

We saw vita mix does all this but costs $400!

Is it worth it?

E.g. rather that flying abroad, locally why not hold a web-video conference? We do that at work all the time and it works great!

2 days ago I saw a crew come down to our neighbors lawn and put heaps of soil at regular intervals all over their lawn. and left it like that...today I see that the soil is gone and there are yellow patches all over their lawn....what are they doing? is this some sort of treatment?

Hello we are planning to buy a water softner and filter. We got signed up @ home depot for a FREE water analysis test and it turned out to be a sale pitch from RainSoft with the softner n filter price tag og 7850$

Our budget was 1200...and needless to say we were stunned to see such a price....so any ideas as to what to buy, look n spend?

Ok..so well..wanted to get in shape for a big event in a month and I need to tone up...I am 5'5 n weight 135 pounds...ideally I would like to be 125...but for now I want to set a goal to lose 5 pounds in a month! any ideas? Am I aiming to high?

Hello, recently purchased a home and we got a doc showing that in our backyard...10 ft from pur fence area is waste water easement, PUE(PLAT). I remember our realtor saying that it means there are possibly gas, electric and water lines there and that we should do no concrete construction there. If that is the case, could be pant some trees, busehs there...like live oak n roses?

Is running all you need? or something more is needed to.
