What reality show - MTV ?
There was a reality TV show on MTV about 7 to 10 years back. The show was about a white guy that went around and put himself in somewhat dangerous situations. One that I remember was that he went into the deep ghetto in Chicago with his filming crew and it got really dicey. I think the show was called something like ""_"'s world" or something. Anyone remember what it was called? And could maybe tell me where to watch it?
Reality Television10 months agoWomen, what would you consider a good sexy birthday present to receive?
I actually stripped for my girl on her birthday once and she said she really liked it, but am looking for more ideas of what women would enjoy from their men. I know romance is a very important pieces, but am looking for creative ideas. The dinner and rose peddles thing is all fine and dandy, but used it and she didn't enjoy it as much. Thanks in advance.
6 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoI get lost in you song by female Christian artist. This is not the song from Superchick or Barlow girl?
I have only ever heard this song on internet radio and have no way to find out who it is. The lyrics for the chorus are either "Whatever I'm feelin, I get lost in you, I get lost in you" or "Whatever I'm feelin, I belong to you you, I belong to you". (At least that's what I can make of it). It's a rock song and she has a great voice (much like flyleaf). Any help would be apprciated.
1 AnswerLyrics1 decade agocan my wife kick me out of our house?
Ok, my wife and I have never been good, but things have recently gone south. There is no history of physical abuse or drug or alcohol abuse, but she is starting to tell lies about these things to her counselor and her friends. I ask her why she says them, and she just implies she has a plan. She has mentioned a couple times that she is going to kick me out. We have a 5 yr old daughter, and I never raise my voice, get violent, or anything. Does she have any ground to kick me out? I am going to get an attorney soon, but am worried that I need some other answers quick.
I live in Ohio, and we own a house together. She works, but I am the primary bread winner. She has history of abuse (she was arrested for assault), and has been violent in the relationship, but it is all hear say as no authorities were ever called. She says that she will kick me out if I have a beer and tell the cops I am an alcoholic. I get that I won't drink, but don't want to be captive in my own home either
16 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoJosh McDowell question!!!?
Josh McDowell was at our church a while back and was talking about parenting in today's world. He referenced a book where he talks about parents and their interaction with school. He makes the statement that the worst thing a parent can do for their kids is actually take their sides if there is an issue at school. He said "If the teachers said your kid is acting up ... he/she is.". My question is:
Does anyone know what book that reference was made in?
or
Does anyone know where I could find the online reference of that?
Thanks
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoleaking transmission fluid in 2002 Chevy Malibu?
Can anyone tell me how to check the transmission fluid in the model, and how to add fluid? The users guide says to take it to the shop to check it, and there is no dipstick area. I have heard about a valve behind the engine, but wanted to see if anyone had any more specifics than that. Also, what could cause the tranny fluid to leak? Thanks
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhat year is this???
This is what I have been hearing a lot of when I try to talk about the Bible and the Bible's principles. (Like the man and woman's roles in marriage, Christ's commandments to us, the relationship of the Bible to "modern day" society, etc). I don't quite get this -- ESPECIALLY from believers. Do you really think that God's word is not as applicable today because it was written "way back when"? Do you really think that the Lord that made everything, and KNOWS everything from yesterday, today, and days to come wrote the Bible and "missed" today's society. Like he couldn't FATHOM what the world was gonna be like in 2006?? The Bible was written to be transparent accross any and EVERY generation and societal change. When the societies thought it no longer applied to them, he showed them quickly that it did (Sodom and Gomora). The Bible gives tells us how to live our lives, and Rev 22:18-19 says "Who adds to word .. will add to plagues, who takes away.. he will take take away gifts".
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWife's place in marriage?
I was raised in a very Christian home growing up, and have carried a lot of those beliefs with me into my marriage. My father loves, respects and adore's my mom VERY much. My mom loves, respects, and adore's my father as well. They have been married for about 54 yrs now, and are just as happy now as ever before. One thing held true growing up though, that I find myself struggling with. My father was the head of the household, and, basically, when he said a decision was made, it was the decision that was made (unless he conferred with my mom in private later and changed the decision). The problem I am having is that I feel that is the correct way in a marriage, but my wife constantly undermines my authority with the kids, and questions any decision I ever make -- to the extent of causing huge fights in front of the children. Basically, I am curious what other Christians (I am only interested in believers responses) think about the wife's place in a marriage. Am I completely off?
33 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoAre all women like this? I don't want to blow this out of proportion!!?
Ok, my wife and I have been together for about 5 yrs, and she has always done stuff to just pick fights. Recently (last 8 months), I have taken extreme measures to night fight with her because of our daughter in the house. Well, when I don't fight with her now, she completely loses it. She will grab me really hard and get right in my face and say "oww, your hurting me, let go of me" real loud and in front of the kids. She will make a scene when others are around and say stuff like "You really shouldn't call me those names" -- when I don't say anything at all. She will say some of the meanest things to me to get a response in regards to things she knows I hold dear. She has taken it to the extreme of threatening bodily harm to my daughter if I leave the house to avoid the arguement. Again, I don't want to blow things out of proportion, but I am really concerned and wanted to get someone elses thoughts. Thanks
