  • Why do I feel nauseous after drinking plain green or black tea?

My mouth actually salivates and my tummy feels like it wants to vomit. I want to drink tea, for the health benefits but this side effect is not pleasant. I have always drank tons of black coffee, so I don't believe its the caffeine. I did read somewhere it could be the tannins? Does anyone know what they are and why? I end up drinking a ton of water to make it go away or eat something even if not hungry...thanks.

  • I have a bump/hardness a bit sore under jawline, between ear and chin 2 months after dental work..?

After a filling in October, I felt this (see title) and it died down, so I thought it was muscle tightness from the stress of the filling (dentist was new) I was very tense and had considerable pain afterward, thought I might need a root canal but the tooth settled down. Then had to go back 2 days later for a bit more shaping.. anyway it pretty much went back to normal... but it seems a bit sore again, and a bit puffy to look at, the tightness is there again, along with a slight swelling/bump - no redness or heat, but definitely something. My research pointed at maybe an issue with my sub-mandibular gland... and I got freaked out... Can anyone tell me if a filling (deep one) can cause an issue like this, it is directly below where I had the dental work and I am afraid to g back to this dentist now, I am calling my family dr on Monday... any ideas? I am 39 - healthy active.. Thanks

  • Was this an allergy to jalapeno peppers?

I am vegetarian and the day after Christmas I made a huge pot of veggie soup to eat when I was hungry instead of all the treats laying around at this time of year. I make a hearty soup like this all the time, but this time to fire it up I added 6 jalapeno peppers, I've had them before ok..(but usually only 2-3) I know to wear gloves while cutting and I did.. however within a day underneath my eyes had swollen up, turned beat red and felt like I had been seriously burned. I looked awful, anything stung, even cool water. Finally Vit E oil helped.. and 2-3 days later it started to look better.. its still tender and is now peeling, as if I got a sunburn but only under my eyes from my lower lid to about an inch downward and outward. Anyway my question is... could this have been a reaction to the peppers.. its the only thing I can possibly think of that I had that was different in my diet. No cold, no sinus pressure.. just a burn on the skin.. Thanks for your help!

  • Older cat not looking great..?

I have a 14 year old female cat. She has lost a ton of weight, however eats all the time. She basically chases us for our food! Hangs around the kitchen and drinks more water than normal. This has gone on for some time, we tried many different things. I feed her unlimited food, but she still wants our food and is a bit of a bug about it. She has gone from about 13lbs to 5 lbs in the last year. She seems happy, loving, talkative, fine, but also is not cleaning herself, fur is getting clumpy and messy. I am thinking she is either diabetic or her thyroid is acting up. When she was 6 she was treated (surgery for a large lump on her shoulder) for cancer. We were told they couldn't get a clean margin and she would likely die within a year. She is about 14 now so she made it through that and a house fire 8 years ago! I truly can't afford a large vet bill, I am so upset I am not sure what to do, if her time has come I need to let go, but I wonder if she can be saved. Any ideas? Thank you!!!
