the difference i am referring to is the difference between a budget surplus and actually eliminating the national debt and having an actual monetary government surplus. i ask because i see so many of them on here who seem to some how believe that Bill Clinton pulled us out of debt and then created a cash surplus on top of that. do you understand that we simply had a budget surplus. we also had a budget surplus under GHWB. can any one tell me what the difference is? i bet not.

we know of Brett Favre and Steve McNair playing through injuries, we have seen Donovan McNabb playing while sick and puking between plays, we have seen the famous run by Steve young breaking tackles on his way to the end zone, we have seen some of the amazing plays and tough hits taken by warren moon, we have even seen Randall Cunningham slough tackles and make great throws many of us remember Joe Montana dislocating his throwing shoulder and playing the rest of the game throwing only short dump and swing passes and hand offs. so who was the toughest iron man to play quarter back. one of these or someone i have missed? cant wait to see the answers i get.

i am not speaking of any particular war what i am asking is i guess a multiple layer question. 1 when all of the diplomacy and all the political maneuvering and sanctions have failed what do you do?

2 when the only option left is war how do you fight that war, what is your strategy to win? is it a PC war where no civilians die or is a sweep and clear mission hoping that the citizens of the country will force their leaders to surrender.

3 when the war is over do you pull out or rebuild and help the new government form.

this is more of question of strategy than politics. but i will admit i have a political agenda as a motivation for the question.

do dems honestly believe that cutting funding and helping kill god only knows how many troops in doing so will really prove to the world that they are the party of the future? you will cut off our recon, cut off our supply lines, make a weaponry problems even bigger, hey i know why dont we actually broadcast the location of our troops and when and where patrols will be, then we can paint a big target on the sides of all of the humvees and what not? please explain to me how it will help?

the list of crap that is called rock these days is shocking. we have Emo stinking up our airways, with songs about nothing, no talent actually required to play their instruments. we are heading into a time when cheap theatrics is replacing actual musical talent. band like fall out boy and panic at the disco whining about how their GF lest them and their life is not worth living or whatever, it seems that every day that passes some new emo crybaby song hits the radio and the shelves at the record store and it is passed off as rock music. what happened to the days of dimebag, and Vinnie. the days of grunge where while the lyrics were not always the best they were about the music. even punk rock has gone to crap. some of the old legends are selling there soul to make a buck. what happened to making music that said something and required actual talent to play. where has it all gone?
