  • How can I get a good free piano?

    Hello,

I absolutely love piano. I compose, I play Beethoven etc., even though I've only been with it for a few months. I seem to have a talent for it.

I really, really, want an upright piano, but the standard free piano seems risky. Anyone know of a good way to get a free upright piano?

    OR

Where should I look to go locally to just sit and play?

    Thanks :-)

  • Record directly from line in?

    Hello,

I have my piano/keyboard plugged directly into my microphone port (pink in). I have "pink in" unmuted, so I can hear what I play through my speakers. It sounds just fine through them. However, when I try to record, there seems to be voice isolation or other sound manipulations going on that affect the way it records. I want it to record just as I hear it.

    Software: Audacity

    Computer: HP Pavilion a1510n

    Thanks :-)

  • Why do I heal so slowly?

Howdy! I'm having a serious problem with healing...for example: a small cat scratch on my hand will take over two weeks to fully heal. I know most people would heal from it in less than 24 hours. Also, I don't feel as rested as I should after sleeping. And I sleep enough, over 9 hours on average.

I didn't always use to be like this. In fact, I used to heal exceptionally quickly. Any help, info, or anything at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

  • Fun stuff to do with with NIB magnets?

    Howdy,

I don't know about you, but I think that rare earth/Neodymium magnets are crappin' awesome. What's some fun stuff you do with them?

I made a *magical* pen holder. And I got some holding my BurtsBees stuff to a cabinet door.

  • How can I make an object float magnetically?

I have a decent collection of rare earth magnets..

And I've tried to make plates, LEGO things, and whatever else float by taping these magents the the desired object and a base. No matter what configuration I try, I can't seem to be able to make anything float successfully. Do any of you have an idea of a certain configuration I could use?

    Thanks :)

  • Idea for self-running A.C?

Iv'e had this idea for a self-running air conditioner. This may seem an odd time, coming into colder seasons, but I'd still like to confirm the idea.

Heat is a form of energy, correct? Well, why can't something be powered by heat? How the machine basically works:

A certain mechanism/material absorbs the heat in the air ind comverts that into kinetic/electric energy. That energy rotates a fan, which pushes the now cooled air(the air which the heat was absorbed from).

Is there any way of implimenting this, and is it even possible?

  • Do magnets work in a vaccum enviroment, or do they need air to work?

This is for a neat idea I have...

Dont say anything to any companies, but I think I've discovered a self-working power generator.
