My friend is power of attorney for her mother, who is in a nursing home. The mother gets SSD checks every month. My friend used some of the money to pay some of the other bills coming into the house (her mother's house). Is she bound by law to give all of the SSD money to the nursing home, or can she use it for other bills at her discretion? My friend is responsible for any bills that accrue for her mother, and gets billed by the nursing home.

I used my mother's credit card, and got behind on the payments. Is there any way to make the debt just mine, and not ruin her credit?

My daughter is a special needs child, and needs a cd player that cannot be turned up too loud...she rides the bus 90 minutes each way to school, and wants music, but does not understand the consequences of playing it too loud, and plays the cd player so loud I can hear it across the room!

I took it away, but would love to replace it with one that can't be turned up too loud. Any suggestions?

My bf went to Taco Bell yesterday, and happened to notice that they now charge 10 cents extra per taco if you get a soft taco instead of a hard taco. Is this a common practise?

The price listed on the menu board states one price for both soft and hard tacos.

If Burger King has to post a notice that they charge 20 cents extra for a piece of cheese, shouldn't Taco Bell have to tell the customer that they are charging them extra for a soft shell?

A friend just sent us a King Cake from New Orleans in celebration of Mardi Gras. The cake is baked in a ring shape, decorated with green, yellow and purple decorations, and had Mardi Gras beads on it. There was a little plastic baby baked inside it, and the person who got that piece of cake is declared king for a day, and is supposed to have good luck for the following year, and then be the host of next year's Mardi Gras party.

It was absolutely spectacular, and we would like to come up with a Yankee tradition, where we could reciprocate with something traditional from the North.

I went and updated my media player, and I also downloaded the new Adobe Flash 9...they still don't play. When I click on a video, nothing happens. I've looked all through the help/faq at CMT, and they just tell you to get help from your meda player. I also tried disabling the pop up blocker. Any ideas??
