  • do you as AMERICANS think that Great Britain was being anything less than Arrogant.?

Arrogant it terms of the codicils that they insisted upon before Allowing the extradition of Abbu Hamza

    to the USA

1 HAD TO BE TRIED IN A CIVILIAN COURT.2 PUNISHMENT COULD NOT INCLUDE THE DEATH PENALTY.

AND TWELVE OTHERS BUT YOU GET THE DRIFT.

As an Englishman I find this unacceptable,if he is found guilty in an American court of law ,who are we to dictate the sentencing of the convicted, I understand the need to protect Human rights, but what about the rights of the victims who is protecting them.

He tried every trick in the book to avoid being deported along with his cell, I feel cheated that British justice was not strong enough to make sure this terrorist never saw the light of day again.

Justice must be done but also seen to be done.

  • IS it right that this social injustice should continue,?

our armed service men do not have a voice, nor do they have the right to strike, when it comes to the salary they are paid any increase is or reduction is left to a politician, the police firemen doctors, all have federations that lobby the government.yet the one force that we rely on is given no voice at all.

When it comes to stepping into the breech they have on numerous occasions stepped in and obeyed their orders to supplement the police the fire service the doctors the dustbin men the rescue service, unarmed security at prisons, and more recently at both Olympics in London. They are given second rate equipment, boots that the sole falls off, weapons that misfire accommodation that is in need of repair.contracts of service that are loaded in the employers favour, redundancy at the governments need to win an election, only to see their job go to a part time half trained half paid territorial .and if they should be wounded or disabled in the service of the country the are asked to complete a means tested benefit before they are allowed exist on it.with a very poor pension only if they complete a life's time of service with the odds against them especially infantrymen. some say we should put the yobbos in a uniform and teach them discipline,i say why would you want an idiot running around with a loaded weapon, the service is much more than society realises not only should they have a panel of citizens to make sure we treat them fairly in their term of service.but we should also not allow them to be the [playthings of government at election time.just has the law says that a serving officer cannot be a government official so should the same rule apply,no mp not even the president should be allowed to control our countries forces without checks and balances put in place to protect our service men. i do not think they should have the right to strike but they must have a voice that needs to be heard.

  • are we becoming less tolerant as a nation.?

when we see headlines like soldier shot by Afghan policeman- does that make you want to say pull the troops out leave the Afghan people to the ravages of the Taliban. or when you see headlines like film incites murder of Us ambassador,do you think we should close down the embassies and end the diplomatic missions to countries that support terrorist activities. I see myself as a fairly tolerant

person I am not racist or an advocate of discrimination on the basis of nationality, I am proud of my country but I see a once tolerant society becoming less so and history has a way of repeating itself.

The economic crisis in many countries are the beginnings of a crisis that has happened before which led to war on a global scale, religious freedom that we take for granted do not happen in many middle eastern countries, they are set on a path that will lead to confrontation it is inevitable unless a change of philosophical differences can be brought about and i do not see that happening soon, do you?

  • Has a law been passed either in the UK or in the US in respect of motor vehicles fitted with the self park sys?

Whilst watching an advertisement for a car that parks itself a thought came into my head, what if the system malfunctioned and you collided with another parked vehicle, to operate this system the advertisement shows the driver with his hands off the steering wheel. therefore you could be prosecuted for driving whilst not in control =careless or dangerous driving. and technically if you are not driving is the car system insured or does that become invalid, could this be used as a defence in court.

  • united utilities-water costs?

as a senior single person my water bill I BELIEVE IS EXCESSIVE, on the breakdown they site a standing charge of £60 .this they claim is for "sending me the bill and admin costs". I do not live in a large house but in a one bedroomed flat,I live alone, when I enquired about a water merer ,they said i did not use enough, they charge me more for sewage than for the actual water, they charge a family of five the same this is unfair,I do not have a garden,no water lands on my roof cos I do not have one living on the ground floor of a large block of mixed flats is there no rebate system?
