  • How do I get out of taking this job my dad wants for me?

My dad is pushing me to follow in his footsteps and work for the same company as him. It would be a paid internship that I take during my senior year of high school, and after high school it would become a full time career. I would take only half the school day and then just leave in the middle of it for work. It s easy to explain why I don t want to work there. It s boring as all hell, having a half schedule for high school limits my amount of education, and the application process is grueling because I m applying for a job at Google. Yes haha it sounds like that Internship movie with Owen Wilson. I could just join for the internship and quit before it becomes a job, but I don t want to even start the internship in the first place (for embarrassing reasons I ll keep to myself).

I ve tried making up a story that if I take a half schedule, i won t have enough credits to graduate. However, he s just told me to go to summer school. I ve considered telling him that I haven t been accepted to the program, but he would want to look at the rejection email to make sure I m not lying (he knows I don t want to get this job). I need a quick way out of this.

  • Can my girlfriend get pregnant this way?

    *GRAPHIC*

The other day we were fooling around, and I ended up finishing on her chest. There was some drippage, though, and some of it leaked down to her vaginal area. She wiped herself off with a towel quickly, but I wonder, was that short window of time enough for some of it to get inside her before she could wipe it away? And if she did wipe it off, is there a chance that any was left behind and could still cause pregnancy?

  • What courses should I take in high school if I want to be a forensic scientist?

I'm a sophomore in high school, and have already taken CP level Biology, and am currently in Chemistry. I know for sure that next year (grade 11) I want to take AP Chem. What else should I do with the time I have left in high school to prepare myself for a career in forensics?

  • How do you bust your parent for pot/snorting medications?

Most people will probably say "Oh you should support your mother in her time of need." No: this woman is destroying peoples' lives and has purposely made 3 false accusations of rape in the last few months alone, one of them against my teacher. In addition she's tried to put assault charges on me, called CPS on my brother's girlfriend 3 days after she gave birth (the baby is doing awesome btw), and peppersprayed my older brother last year because he was trying to move out.

So what I need to know to put this woman at full responsibility for her actions is, what would I actually do to get her in legal trouble for her pot? Take a picture? Call police? Or at least the non-emergency number? Or WHAT?? I wanna know the exact steps I'd take to make sure she's punished to the full extent of the law and never hurts anyone again. Her drug use isn't what's causing her (for lack of a better term) evil behavior. She needs to be stopped.

  • How to get my NPD mom to be reasonable?

She has NPD and therefore thinks she's infallible and every decision she makes is law. If she decides to keep us up til 4 am, it's reasonable apparently. It's about one thirty right now and she's keeping me up sitting where I'm supposed to sleep making a facebook post that she's been using voice recognition to make for like the past hour. She thinks that's normal. I need to go to sleep and she always makes these types of decisions and doesn't accept criticism. "Do you want me to slap you across the face? I don't need a 15 year old 'telling me what to do'". How do I get her to be reasonable since she views everything as criticism and reacts with such toxicity.

  • I'm living with a paranoid controlling narcissist mom?

I recently decided that my mother has Narcissistic personality disorder, and she has it BAD. She believes she's psychic (and one of the most powerful psychics in the world, mind you) while claiming to be morally superior to most others, saying she's on this 5th level of ascension out of 7 for becoming enlightened and morally better than all of us. Now that may seem alright to have a religious belief, and I think it's alright too, except for the fact that she is in NO way close to being on this level of peace that she claims. She thinks the NSA is after her because she knows too much and is "smarter than them." She thinks any problem at all is the NSA or some kind of hacking or a result of my "crazy" (not really crazy) dad. I describe her as a woman full of rage. She repeats over and over she has multiple personalities which I believe, but she also exaggerates any ailments of hers, and makes her children handle all her problems for her: calling doctors, attorneys, THE NSA and relatives. She blames many of her problems on me, constantly boasts, ridicules that I have Asperger's and thinks I have all these problems that I don't have then blames it on them. She GASLIGHTS EVERYONE. She lies and sometimes believes her lies. She overreacts. What do I do. I'm 15 years old still and have a 12 year old sister. I haven't been able to maintain any long relationship because of this too. Constantly cancelling plans, constantly under persecution. She thinks she's one of the only normal ones.

  • Help with current family situation?

Current conditions are absolutely hell. My mom has multiple personalities and they're mostly evil. She insists that my father who does not live with us is manipulating me to attack her. She always makes blanket statements like that without backing them up and when I try and disagree and assure her nothing's wrong she doesn't let me even finish, then assumes she knows what I was going to say and takes it as "fact.' She can't understand a word I say and she insists it's because I have Asperger's disorder even though she's the only one who has a problem understanding me. The other night she threatened suicide and locked herself in the bathroom while screaming at me. Again, she couldn't understand what I was saying. At one point I said, "Just because you don't understand me doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about." Tell me, you can understand that SIMPLE sentence, right? I asked my sister who was with me outside the bathroom door if she understood it and she said yes but my mom insisted that my sister said No and that I'm lying and twisting things around to get what I want. She also insists I have bipolar disorder despite not having symptoms and the fact that bipolar is a condition that normally manifests LATER in life. I told her that and she said she notices "minute" signs without even saying any of them even if I ask her.

She also spends hours upon hours ranting about things that "stress her out" even though she can't do anything about them. Like, 7 hours. Help.

  • Question about A Midsummer Night's Dream?

    Doing this as a play.

    So,

Is it pronounced "tit-on-ya" or "tit-ayn-ya"?

And, we're doing it with steampunk outfits at my high school for it, so what do you think of that idea? Awesome? I think so ;)

  • Question about grade calculation?

So there's a total of 335 points you can earn in my history class. This essay I had is 70 points out of that. In an unfortunate bout of laziness and BAD formatting, the score was roughly 69 out of 100 on that essay.

I already calculated that the essay is worth 20 percent of my grade average. I am resubmitting my essay. Chances are I will score at least one or two letter grades higher now that proper formatting is in place.

My question is, if the essay counts for 20 percent of my grade, how much higher do I need to score on it in order to boost the average by 4 points and achieve myself the honor roll?

  • I am a high school freshman, what can I do in life with a knack for picking up foreign language?

I have a pretty good idea already. I plan on, throughout my high school career, taking all levels of the Spanish courses, all levels of French, and one level of Mandarin Chinese.

I seem to be good with picking up language and constantly try to think of ways that I could say what's happening in my current situation, but in Spanish. I've been writing in coded pigpen since about 3rd grade and my personality psych profile mentions skill in foreign language. I plan on being at least quentilingual by the time I die, counting sign-language.

So I beg the question, what can I do after high school? What specific degree would I look for, what colleges are VERY good for that major, what kind of careers would I be able to score, and at what type of employer?

I know the Alphabet soup agencies hire many linguists, I know of internship opportunities in one such agency, but I do not really want a government job. Can someone describe to me some careers that wouldn't that are available that also wouldn't be obvious to the average dummy?

  • Would I be an avid journalist?

I've had a bit of an interest in journalism for a while but I've had my confidence completely plummet lately. I started this new history class this year which everyone finds to be difficult and harshly graded, but I seem to be doing worse off than people that don't even seem to be nearly as intelligent. I don't understand exactly what I'm not getting. Anywho, I had been receiving C's on essays in this class despite getting much higher marks in previous history classes and doing much better in my English class.

I am in the gifted program at my school and have been for a long time, but left the school for 4 years from 4-8 grade, when I went to a really low-grade trashy school. This past essay I was in the 60 range for percentage. It took me a bit to get an idea of what I wanted to do in the essay so I finished really, really close to the deadline. It's really killing my spirit that I can't get a high grade in this class. Ever.

I'm receiving 98's and 99's in my creative writing course and I am an active novelist yet I cannot do a single essay right for my history class despite the teacher's (a real dictator) "help."

Knowing all those other things but not being able to do anything right in that class, should I even consider being a journalism major?

  • Why am I not really sad after breakups?

I'm not a cold person really and I'm a pretty corny romantic. I also fall for people fast.

My girlfriend and I keep splitting up and getting back together and each time (including the first) I didn't feel all that bad. Instead I was searching for the next one instantly, which I felt bad about when we got back again.

  • What mental/personality disorder(s) does this characterize?

For background: I'm diagnosed with PTSD and high functioning Asperger's. If it helps, my Myers-Briggs is _NFP with varying scores on the first letter, for intro/extroversion.

I have very strange patterns of wanting things to be a certain way, and that things are somehow "ruined" if they're different from that. I don't like works of art referring to themselves, for example, if a song referred to itself as a song in the lyrics themselves, I'd be very annoyed. I don't like when stories, especially the ones I make, are written in third person because I have the thought, "How would the main character have created these words in the book, if it's from their point of view? Did they 'write' it?"

I'm very confused by these feelings. I game a lot and if I make the slightest mistake, a strange feeling washes over me, where I feel some pressure on my chest as I breathe, and no matter how hard I try I cannot relieve it without some time.

I have a tendency to have thoughts that I know aren't the truth. I try not to have certain thoughts and as a result of not wanting them, I have them. For example, if I told you not to think about elephants, you'd think about elephants. So because I try not to have thoughts like these, they show up. This is especially true in relationships, when I think "you don't really care about her."

I'd like someone with some actual psychological background to answer, please. I realize some of these things may or may not be normal and some may or may not come as a result of existing conditions I already know about.

  • To what extent can my school monitor my chromebook?

I have a school-issued chromebook device, and I'm in high school. It obviously uses google chrome, and I have the following things I am wondering about. Note that these are things I want answered assuming that I am using my personal home internet (not the school's). To log on I must use my school gmail account, but I have the capability to log out of gmail while still remaining on the chromebook and even use my personal gmail. Please keep those in mind while answering these:

Can my school know the passwords for things because I type them?

Can my school see my browser history after I delete it?

Even after deleting my history, I think it must be stored somewhere like on google chrome. Where?

How may I delete this history that is not stored on the device but on the internet, if possible?

To what extent am I monitored? Like, does it tell them about keywords I search so they can check it, does it display everything I do, just please a detailed overview of how it is actually seen by my school. And, is "snooping" done in all cases or in cases that they have suspicions? If so, what kind of things cause them to snoop?

Finally, from personal expert knowledge, what do you recommend I avoid doing? (Not the "play it safe" advice but the "I know for a fact this is bad and this is okay" advice.)

I ask that only an expert on the matter with actual technical knowledge answer me. Do not worry, I am merely curious as to what's gonna happen with my chromebook. I have not and will not commit any felonious actions with my device. Thank you in advance.

  • How do you feel about jealousy in a relationship?

If a girlfriend of mine acts jealous when someone starts talking to me, I just think it's cute that she cares enough to act like that because of me. I think as long as she doesn't interfere with my social life and say I'm not "allowed" to have female friends ('cuz that's crazy), I'd be alright. What about you guys? Is jealousy sweet in your opinion, or is it annoying? And ladies, you can answer too about your relationships.
