Would you rather, have a garage that has a car lift. (ie4 car garage) OR. A house that you could hunt off your back porch naked?(not that you have to be naked, but you could)

Please vote garage or hunting. This is the discussion my family is having for Christmas

  • How long does it take a small snake to shed?

We got my son a small Milk snake. Harry (snakes name) is about 7 months old and is going threw his first shed with us. His eyes turned cloudy, then cleared up and today he is shedding. BUT it is coming off in pieces and he's been trying a few hours to get it off and only about half way. We have been misting his cage, and I attempted to put him in some warm water yesterday but he wasn't having any of that. I was just wondering, How long should this part of his shedding take?

  • Parents, What would you do?

There is a child in my son's 2nd grade class that pinches, kicks, calls him names, and even writes mean notes. not just to my child, but to many others. Every week my child talks about the trouble the kid got into, but wants to be his friend, as my kid is the one that wants to be friends with everyone.

Today my son came home with a birthday party invite from this disruptive child, and really wants to go.

    What would you do?

Allow your son to go? this would include you as well.

Explain, once again, why you do not think their friendship is in his best interests and keep him home?

OR call up the kid's mom and express your issues with his bully style behavior?

  • ediquait for being honest about a bad gift?

so hubby totally blew me off for mothers day. i said i wanted a certain thing, he figured i was grown and could just get it myself. no need for him to do anything.... for all the men out there this was WRONG! totally out of character for my husband

so the next day he rushed out about bought about $500 in gift certificates to the local spa. i still haven't used up the one he gave me for our anniversary. but then he bought me a diamond and emerald tennis bracelet. I was honest and told him i would absolutely never wear it. but he said it would be nice to pass down to our daughter. which will be born any day now.

I don't like it. i honestly think it would look nicer in the bank collecting interest than in a box collecting dust. money is not really an issue, but i am defiantly more frugal than he is. and i have something already to pass down to our daughter.

Guys: would you be offended if your wife said "return it and save your money"

  • help with making my first vegan dish (lasagna)?

so i'm not a vegan. but my friend is. and she is pregnant. 40 weeks and 3 days now. and in our circle of Friends it is custom to bring the new mommy some type of dinner so she doesn't have to cook.

i was thinking of making her a vegan lasagna. as i'm italian and thought this would be easy... however i am a little lost and have some questions to be answered. if you could help i would be very appreciated.

so normal lasagna is noodle, meat, cheese, sauce, repeat. i was going to just put mushrooms, onions and eggplant instead. the noodles are ok right? cause not all are made with eggs.

what about bread crumbs for the egg plant? i have never made it inside a lasagna before and was wondering the best way to cook it.

any help would be appreciated. as this is a first for me and want to respect me friends food wishes.

    thank you

  • toilet doesn't fully cycle?

there is something wrong with the master toilet. while it does work. it doesn't seem to fully cycle. water comes up. water goes down. but not all the way down and doesn't do the "whoosh" at the end. all the bathrooms have the same type of toilet and i have taken the backs off and compared them. seems to be working fine there. it takes solid waist away sitting at the bottom but not the toilet paper floating at the top.

there are little kids in the house. so it has been clogged a time or two. but plunging it has only brought it back to this 1/2 working status.

any one got any ideas on what to do to get it back to full operation?

i have 7 year old Female red ear slider turtle. she is in a tank with a 5 year old male. she has layed eggs before. always 1 or 2. but she has always dropped them in the water and then destroys them. i just walked by and saw one at the bottom of the tank. she must have just layed it. do you think it is still alive? i did turn it trying to get it out.

i have now moved her to a dry tank to lay the other one she was trying to push out. and put the 1 egg under a heat lamp

  • at what point do you stop walking around naked in front of your young children?

my oldest is 4 years old. both boys. i am a naturalist/nudist. i don't know any other nudist with children. i was wondering when it is inappropriate for them to see me naked?

it isn't like i am naked all day long. just usually in the mornings then after bath time till bed time. and it isn't like they yell "EWWWWW" and run screaming from the room. but they do point out physical differences which is ok.

if you are not a naked person then you wouldn't understand so please don't answer. as we all have different views on life and parenting and mine will involve my children not being afraid of their body's. thank you.

  • medical retirement question with 23 years in.?

so hubby has 23 years active duty. made E-7 almost a year ago. he just found out he has cronh's disease. doctor is going to talk with him about an MEB.

my question is... i have heard that when you medically retire they don't give you full benefits. so would it be smarter to take the MEB and medically retire as a E-7 OR drop his packet now and get out and get paid as an E-6 (because he doesn't meet TIG requirements.) then file for VA?

we are at TRADOC now. but he is set to go back to the line for christmas. he was going to extent to meet TIG and then retire here. but he isn't sure if it is 2 or 3 years of TIG to retire in that pay grade.

  • the army and chrons disease.?

after years of testing it looks like hubby might have chrons disease. we get the results in 1 more week.

but my question is... is having chron's going to medically retire him? is he even deployable with it? i am thinking i need someone with the condition to give me more insight. or medical personnel (not a Whiskey)

i mean he has 20+ years now but needs to go another 18 months to retire at current E-grade. just wondering cause i know if they medically retire him. he will keep his rank.

also if by chance you got out with chrone's can you tell me what your VA rating is. thanks.

  • why is my fish tank cloudy AGAIN!!?

my 29 gallon tank is over populated with guppies and snails. they are turtle food and i am lowering the numbers now. but has been this way for a while.

it has been up and running about 7-9 months BUT about a month ago the tank for no apparent reason got a lime green color and the water got cloudy. i did a 50% water change. changed the filter and a week later it was still cloudy. so i did a 90% water change. 2 weeks later cloudy. so then i took all the fish and snails out. every drop of water. scrubbed it like crazy. scrubbed the rocks and removed most of it. then filled it back up again. it has been 2 weeks and the water is cloudy again.

anyone know what in the world is going on? and how do i stop this?

  • adding information to a police report?

i got into an altercation with a solicitor in my front yard. we hit each other but the cop pulled up and SAW me hit him. so i was arrested. when i picked up the police report it only has the "victim" ( i use that loosely) and the officers statement. none from my husband or neighbors. the report is very one sided and i just want to know how do i go about getting witness statements added.

i think we all know the police report is gold at court and i need it to be accurate.

still waiting on a detective to call me back so i can file charges of trespassing, assault and attempting to force entry into my home. requesting copy's of my 911 call and the cops dash cam

also it was supposed to be a class C. but the officer upped the charges and it has gone from our tiny town to the county. should i get a lawyer for this? i have never been in trouble before.

  • how come the cops don't buckel you in?

i was wondering why the cops don't buckle you in when they arrest you and drive you "down town"?

i was arrested today. wooo hooo 1 st time for me. guy tried to get into my house and i hit him with a base ball bat. (short version). but when the cop threw me in the back seat i asked him to buckle me in. he said no and it was till i started crying saying how unsafe it was did he stop. and finally buckled me in. he said he didn't have to and he didn't want to hear me whine about it being too tight. kind of rude if you ask me.

  • how to explain kitty cat heaven to a 3 year old?

while he gets the concept for his gold fish. he is happy to flush one and then head off and get a new fish. "death" will be much different for our 12 year old cat with cancer. no flushing. we have decided that his quality of life is no longer and plan to put him to rest. and bury him in the back yard.

i have tried to explain to my son that the kitty is going to die. that he is old and very sick. but it is also very clear that he just doesn't get it.

i don' t know if it is a good idea to show him the dead cat in the box before we bury him? but i do plan to have my 3 year old help in the bury process. and i don't know how he will react in the morning as the cat loves on him each morning and hides the rest of the day.

i am at a loss for words and was hoping some of you out there on YA would have some advice on what to say to him and how to help him.
