A brown spider about an inch long that is including the legs a little see through was in my kitchen i have seen them before i dont know if they are dangerous or not i dont thinkit is a recluse i live on the coast in nc

i have an eight month old beagle everytime one of my husbands friends come over to my house the dog goes crazy trying to hide from him he has never been alone with my dog and has never done anything to hurt her but ive always heard that dogs just know things about people what do you think?
