13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoGods purpose for you versus your own?
If you found joy and fulfillment something, say in analyzing complex mathematical data, and chose to spend your life doing just that, while believing in Jesus and that you're saved, but never devoted time to witnessing or sharing your faith with others, is that sinful in failing to do as God asks?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians, how and where do you separate belief in God and the Bible and knowledge of them?
I've heard a lot of comments to the effect of "the bible says so, so it has to be true." and "God wrote (or commissioned) the bible, so it is true." How and were do you make the distinction between belief and knowledge of the truth in your faith? They appear to me to overlap in a lot of comments yet are clearly separate entities by definition. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thanks.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians: What would it take to convince you to stop practicing your faith?
I'm genuinely curious. I've seen a lot of questions to atheists asking what it would take to convince us of God's existence, and I'd like to hear from your side of things. Thanks.
