If a tree falls in a forest, and lands on a mime, does it make a sound?

P.S. no one is around to hear it.

    It's none of mime concern.

Yes, the tree would make a sound because the mime is around to hear it.

Just because there's no one around to here the screaming of a dying mime, that doesn't mean the mime isn't screaming. The sound waves will be there, regardless of whether or not some one is present to capture them with their auditory senses.

I didn't hear it. The mime did hear it while it was falling but is not around to report it because the tree fell on him. Even though no one is around to hear it, soundwaves are still created. There is just not a witness to the sound.

The tree imitates a crashing tree and the mime will forget he is a mime. He will cry out loud and then pretend he was dying.

However if it is “mine” instead of ”mime”, you will hear the tree AND the mine

Yes. It makes a sound without the mime too.

No, the tree is the actor. The tree may well be taking part in the mime like a purple-confronted Scot in kilts squeezes a sheep's bladder and calls it song. Mimes are very boring. Actors may well be exciting, if the script is sweet. Take your theory to Hollywood!

The mime probably does, but the tree no, the tree doesnt make sound it makes vibrations in the air which are perceived as sound at the ear, therefor no ear, no real sound

Mimes are not known to be deaf. Sound is vibration and certainly the vibration exists even if there is no receiver. This is why many people say, where is God, where is God? He speaks but they are not able to hear him, because they have used their ears to find another voice, on a different frequency. If God speaks and you do not hear, does that mean he does not exist?

Good Vibrations or Good God? Take your pick.
