  • Are there any online citizen science data entry volunteer opportunities?

I am looking for something that is just typing something from one place into another place. I do the North American Phenology program right now but am looking for more opportunities.

  • Will my cat die from seizures?

I have an older male cat (about 15 years old) who started having seizures. We have him on anti-seizure meds, but he continues to have them every week and a half or so. We checked his medication levels and he is at the low end of the normal range. Do you think we need to up the dosage of his medication?

Also, he is pretty much his normal self otherwise. My other question is, what will eventually kill him? Will he die from a seizure? Or what will ultimately cause his death?

    Thanks!

  • Helping people to help themselves?

I just need someone to help me brainstorm some ideas for volunteer opportunities. I am trying to think of places that help people to help themselves. Some ideas I've come up with so far are people looking to get their GED, adult literacy, and people who sign up for financial literacy or parenting classes. Do you have any other ideas?

  • Guardian Ad Litem Question?

My husband's friends are going through a divorce and have asked him to speak with their Guardian Ad Litem regarding custody of their daughter. Does he legally have to speak with the Guardian Ad Litem? He doesn't feel comfortable taking sides and is worried that something he might say would bring about a bad outcome. Does he have the option to decline speaking with the Guardian Ad Litem?

    Thanks!

  • Is there such a thing as a noise canceling headband (not headphones) for sleeping?

I need it pretty quiet to sleep and I find earplugs so uncomfortable and I am a side sleeper so regular noise canceling headphones don't work. I see that there is a headphone system that comes as a soft headband but I don't want to play music while I sleep, I just want it quiet. Has anyone found something that works to block out snoring and pet noises? Even if it is just some kind of generic headband not specific for this purpose. I am going crazy!

    Thanks!

  • What's the difference between a magazine rack and a book rack on treadmill?

I am shopping for a treadmill and looking for one with a book rack. I see some say they have a magazine rack, but is that the same? Or does the book rack have a "lip" on the bottom that keeps the book open whereas the magazine rack is just a shelf with no lip?

  • HTML question about posting Ads from AdSense?

I am trying to post several Google AdSense ads in my blog: http://www.yourlifeisastory.com/

I figured out how to get the first three on there, but I can't seem to post any below that third one, probably because of the scrolling. How do I post more ads along the left side?

    Thanks!

  • Hamburger Helper Question?

If I want to use 1/2 lb of beef instead of a whole pound, do I need to decrease the liquid added to the pan? Otherwise won't it be too runny?

  • Which is a better brand: Huffy, Schwinn, Greenline or Micargi?

Am looking to buy a 7-speed cruiser bicycle and am choosing between these brands: Huffy, Schwinn, Greenline and Micargi. Just wondering which brand is better. I do not want a comfort bike since I like the swept-back handle bars of the cruiser style, but I do want something with several speeds.

    Thanks!

  • Difference between a comfort bike and a 7-speed cruiser bike?

I like the style of the cruisers, but am now thinking I want a bike with at least a few speeds on it. What is the difference between a comfort bike and a 7-speed cruiser? Is it just the look/style or are there other differences?

  • Do I need a 24" or 26" bicycle?

I am buying a cruiser bicycle online and am wondering whether I need a 24" or 26" bike. I am 5 foot 6-1/2 inches so fall on the "high" end of the 24" and the "low" end of the 26". I will just be using it to tool around the neighborhood, not going long distances or anything. Plus, since I haven't ridden a bike in 15 years, I am wondering if a lower bike like the 24" would allow me to put my feet more comfortably (and securely) on the ground as I am a little wobbly :) Especially since this cruiser has coaster brakes, I would be more comfortable if I could touch the ground easily with my feet. Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks!

  • Single-speed or 7-speed cruiser bike?

I am trying to decide between a single-speed cruiser bike with coaster brakes and a 7-speed cruiser bike with hand brakes. I haven't ridden a bike in about 15 years so figured a cruiser would great for me. I will be mostly using it on bike paths, sidewalks, and side roads, probably never on a busy road. My concern is that the coaster brake will be less "safe" than a hand brake. Also, do I need 7-speeds? Or is a single-speed sufficient?

  • How do you transport an adult tricycle?

I am looking at buying an adult tricycle (on of the sit up ones, not a recumbent) and am wondering how you transport it with a car that has no hitch. I don't want one of the folding ones, I want like a Schwinn Meridian that has the big wheels. Just wondering how people transport these in their cars?

  • Can you use a power strip at an electrical tent camping site?

I am going camping with a few friends for a week and we will be moving sites each day. We all have cell phones, mp3 players, and have a gps that will need to be charged every day (cigarette lighter doesn't work so can't use car charger). I'm wondering, if we get an electric tent camping site, if we can plug in a power strip and use that to plug in all our devices at one time so we're not having to wait until one charges before we can plug in another one. By power strip, I'm talking about those long strips that have 4 or 5 plug ins on them. Thanks!

  • Am I an alcoholic if I only binge drink once or twice a week?

think I may be an alcoholic. My question is, can you be an alcoholic if you are only a binge drinker? I feel like sometimes I am making a bigger deal out of it than it needs to be. However, over the past two years or so I've been feeling so helpless when I drink. I wake up the next day and cry because I don't want to live like that anymore, but then I do it again the next weekend. I'm almost 30 years old and think maybe it is time to grow up. I only drink on Friday or Saturday night, but will drink about six beers or mixed drinks and then about 10 shots on top of that. I don't drink during the week at all and have no problem abstaining during the week, I hardly even think about it. But once I get a few drinks in me, I feel like I just want to drink everything in sight. Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.

  • What are guys expecting the first time you sleep with them?

What I mean is, are they expecting you to be amazing? Are they just happy they get to sleep with you at all? Are they expecting your legs to be completely smooth? What are the expectations? I am in my mid-twenties and have had sex before, but there's a new guy and I'm actually nervous about it this time. Any advice is appreciated!
