  • Physics Problems! Please?

    1. In this problem, assume that the effect of friction can be discounted. (Remember to include the unit in the answer.)

    https://media.glynlyon.com/o_phy_2012/2/%E2%80%A6

Referring to the above diagram, how high will the ball rise on the right-hand incline?

    2. https://media.glynlyon.com/o_phy_2012/2/%E2%80%A6

In the above diagram, ignoring frictional forces, how far would the ball travel once it was released?

    4. In this problem, assume that the effect of friction can be discounted. (Remember to include the unit in the answer.)

    https://media.glynlyon.com/o_phy_2012/2/%E2%80%A6

If, in the above diagram, the rise is only 0.5 cm for each 2 cm of run, what distance will the ball travel horizontally on the incline to the right?

7.In this problem, assume that the effect of friction can be discounted. (Remember to include the unit in the answer.)

    https://media.glynlyon.com/o_phy_2012/2/%E2%80%A6

Referring to the above diagram, if the incline on the right has a slope of 5 cm of rise for each 2 cm of run, what distance will the ball travel horizontally on the incline to the right?

    11. In this problem, assume that the effect of friction can be discounted. (Remember to include the unit in the answer.)

  • What do you get an adolescent boy for Valentines day?

So, it's waaaaaaaay easier shopping for a girl than shopping for a guy. You buy them a bracelet, a necklace, perfume, whatever, and you'll get, a general, "oh, you shouldn't have!", but, with guys, it's like, what the heck do you get them for a Valentine's Day gift?

We've been dating for 3 and a half months, and Valentine's day is the day before our 5 month.

So, what should I get him?

He's not into jewelry or watches or ties.

    Guys, what would you want?

  • What are good websites to go to for getting animal information? Help on this project?

I'm doing a project in biology over the break. The assignment is to take pictures of animals native to Texas (so no getting pictures from the internet) and to identify them correctly.

We also have to find other things, like diet, habitat, endangered or not, date, weather, and location of sighting, behavior, and other interesting facts.

I just need to know where I can find the website to figure out what specific animal it was, and the rest will be breezy.

    So, please?

    Help me out?

The only information I have are the pictures.

  • Ideas for activities for the family?

So my mom commissioned me to come up with ideas for the family so that we can spend more time together this year.

Fun things to do as a family, like bowling, or games or something.

What are some ideas to get a family of five off their butts so we can have fun together?

Any game ideas, suggestions, or anything at all would be wonderful.

    :)

    Thank you! :D

  • How should you wait before you exercise after you eat?

If you've eaten, how long do you have to wait before you start exercising?

Besides protein shakes, what is the best meal or snack you could eat before you exercise?

  • I got a stability ball for Christmas; You know, the giant ones you exercise with? But I think it's too small.?

My mom got me a stability ball.

The box said it's for people 5"6 and under.

I'm somewhere between 5"5 and 5"6, but I'm 15 and have one more growth spurt before I stop growing. After the growth, I may be like 5"7-5"8 or something,

    The box says that it's for people 5"6 though;

Should I take it back and get another one, or should I keep it?

I'm going to lose wight this new year, (which is why I wanted the ball) and I'm 180 pounds, and I don't want the ball to like break or something under my weight (height?)

And it didn't have a weight limit on the box or in the information.

    Help?

  • How do you make a masquerade mask with cardstock?

So I have some cardstock (actually, it's more like scrap booking paper, but it's much thicker than regular paper)

And I need to construct a mask out of it.

Will somebody please provide me with instructions on how to make a masquerade mask with it?

I have tons of it, so that's not a problem.

I also don't need to know how to decorate it.

This is for a project. We're studying Romeo and Juliet, and so that's why we're making masks. This mask should be about like this in width and length:

  • What should I get my friend for her quincenera? (15th birthday)?

I want to get my friend something special for her 15th birthday, because in the Mexican culture, being 15 is a really big deal. Any ideas? I have 20 dollars to spend. If all else fails, I'll give her the twenty, but I'd like to give her something more than that.

  • How do I find out what my computer's ISP server phone number, username and password is?

Okay, so my brother just got this phone, it's like a 2004 model or something, it's a Sprint Pocket PC, and it says I can add internet to it and the directions say: 1. Obtain the following information from your ISP: ISP server phone number, user name, and password.

    2. Tap (touch screen) Start > Settings > Connections tab > Connections.

    3. In My ISP, tap Add A New Modem Connection.

    4. Create a modem connection.

    5. To start the connection, begin using the desired program. For example, switch to Pocket Internet Explorer and browse to a Web page. Your device will automatically connect.

    So.

HOW DO I FIND OUT MY COMPUTER'S ISP SERVER PHONE NUMBER, USER NAME, AND PASSWORD?

  • Poll:Do you remember that one story about the cop who stopped that one guy from seeing his mom before she died?

    If you don't:

    http://mediaoutrage.com/2009/03/27/polic...

    LONG STORY SHORT:

The guy's name was Ryan Moats and he ran a red light because he was on his way to the hospital, because his mother-in-law, who was like a mom to him, was dying at that very moment, with minutes to live. He said he checked to make sure traffic was clear and everything, then he proceeded to the hospital. Even though he ran the red light, he still was cautious. So he got to the hospital parking lot and he tells the officer his sitch, but the officer still wouldn't let him go. Who was wrong?

In this case, where Moats ran a red light, should he have been ticketed?

    His Mother-in-law was dying, and he wanted to be there at her side;

Was it really so bad to run the light after making sure there was no traffic coming?

With seconds remaining of his mother's life, would you have done the same thing?

    Please give your own opinion before reading other people's;

I don't want anybody feeling pressured to say the same answer as anybody else.

This is for a very important project at school.

  • Poll: should you get a ticket if you run a red light?

    Reeeeeeeeeal simple.

And don't make up any scenarios, such as, "Well, if there's somebody speeding behind you..."

or "Well what if there's an emergency..."

or "What if there's no oncoming traffic..."

    or "It depends on..."

    No.

    I don't want that.

I just want to know, for my project.

Should you get ticketed if you run a red light?

And then, if you please, answer this one:

  • If somebody runs a red light on purpose, should they get a ticket? Simple Yes or No question.?

I'm doing a survey for class, and it's just a simple question, don't ask "Well did they hit somebody?" or "Was there anybody around when it happened?" or "Are they elderly?" or anything like that.

    Just. Point. Blank.

If somebody runs a red light on purpose, should they get a ticket?

    Yes or no.

You can put a reason why if you want to, though it's not necessary.

    I'm 14.

I'm NOT pregnant, unless I'm the next Virgin Mary.

I may have mono because I shared my vitamin water with my friend yesterday, but I'm not exactly sure what mono is.

BTW, The symptoms started yesterday after school, and I let her have a sip yesterday at lunch.

    I have an on-and-off fever.

    I just don't feel well.

    I had diarrhea earlier.

    I don't feel like eating.

    So;

    Please diagnose me?

And when you tell me what I have, tell me how to fix it, please.

    Thank you :)
