  • Cigar questions, for cigar smokers out there?

Me and a friend are looking to buy a couple nice real cigars, not the ones from a gas station. Although I have smoked a few different cigars from there, like swishers, cheyennes, etc, we are looking for some nicer ones.

I was wondering what are some good brands, and what prices can I expect for some of the cheaper ones?

  • Overcoming shyness and talking more. help?

Some people are outgoing, and some people are shy and quiet. I'm shy and quiet, its just who I am. It might not seem like it, but being shy cause me to not get this job that would be highly beneficial to me.

I hate doing presentations in class, I'm awkward to have conversations with, due to not talking alot, and so on.

Im trying to find ways to overcome this. I have gotten better within the last year or so, but I really want to overcome this. Im wondering if anyone has been shy before, and found ways to overcome it. Please share your stories and what you did, and maybe give advice please!

  • Any good free Point Of Sale software?

I work for a small business and we need some kind of system for inventory, and keeping track of sales. We need a free one. I know I wont get a "good" system for free, but anything is better than what we have now.

  • Should I get my tounge pierced?

I'm a guy and I'm thinking of getting tongue pierced. I really want a piercing that is not noticeable. The only thing I worry about is if some close friends or family find out, their opinion of me will change. Also I don't know if I could handle with all of the ignorant judgemental stupid heads out there.

    Any opinions are welcomed :)

  • Networking a small business together?

Well to start off, I am in school for computer networking. My boss at a local computer shop wants me to network his office together. Here is what I need

-A network for the business computers that hold the accounting and inventory information.

-A separate network that the computers we are repairing, and the employees, and customers can use. This will include about 5 drops located over the office, plus Wi-Fi.

Here is my problem. Look at this picture of what the topology I am planning on building http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/821/networkdi...

    This is what Im wondering

    - Can I plug a cable from the dsl modem to a hub, and then run 2 seperate networks from that hub?

    - Or can I plug a cable from the modem, to a router, then plus one router into another to create 2 seperate networks?

  • hosting website on my own server?

Let me set this straight. I know quite a bit about networking and IT. What I don't know much about it hosting websites and other related things.

I have already created my website which is very basic. I dont have a static IP, and do not have a domain name from a registrar. I know if I dont have a static IP I will have to update it every time my IP changes. I know about DDNS, no-ip and dyndns.

    My questions are:

    1. Is it possible to make a domain name without paying through a website, or getting a free one like mydomain.xyz.com. ( also how does dns play into this, Could I host my own dns server too to help without paying for a domain?

    2. If it is, I dont care that I would have to update when my IP changes.

I also know how to put up the website on my server using IIS

  • How to host website on MY server?

I am currently making a website for someone, and want to host it on my new server except I dont know where to start.

First of all, the website is very simple. It is just a go to it and browse info and pictures. There is no shopping cart, or anything like that.

Second, my server is just a junk computer i bought, and runs pretty decent. I have about every OS for windows... Server 2008, W7, Vista, XP... But for people who know more about hosting websites, should i just install windows 7 on it and call that good? or should I put linux on it?( i have never used linux but it would be a cool experience).

For you people know know about it, can you gide me as to what i should use? Also is it possible to create a domain for free? and also do i need to do anything with DNS?

Give me the steps to posting my site online using my server.

  • PC Techs, do you use a toolkit?

I just started out in a computer repair shop and my boss has some tools, and he said i could bring some in too, but I was wondering if you use those toolkits that have all kinds of screwdrivers, torq bits, wrenches and all that stuff, or would it be better just to stick with the basics like screwdrivers etc..

  • Laptop screen works, but is flashing colors?

I have my fairly new HP Pavilion Dv6. Im assuming that this happened because of me keeping it in my backpack with alot of books etc.

Now i just turned it on and about half of the time it is flickering different colors, and sometime it stops, or lasts a few minutes. Should i take it apart and reseat the LCD cable connection? Or any other suggestions?

  • Should I get BF3 or MW3?

Im deciding if i should get one or the other, or both. I have enough money for both, but i dont really want to throw out $120 in video games if only one is worth it.

I like COD, but im starting to get sick of the campers, and how fast paced it is, like people running around with their head cut off.

I havnt played battlefield, only the beta and i really liked it.

So why should i get one or the other. State your reasons why.

  • how to unbrick my ps3?

Well i have come upon a ps3 slim with no hard drive. I went out and got a new hard drive for it, and put it in.

When it boots up, it asks for a media device for firmware, which it should. I have the correct firmware, in the correct folder PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP.

It says the data is corrupted. I have read that I am SOL if i dont have the original, non-formatted hard drive. Does anyone know how to fix this by myself? (sony charges 100$)

  • buying a new sub for my car, new or used?

My friend has 2 subs that hes not using, they are pretty old. Maybe around 6-10 years old. Ive heard them before and they work fine, and he is selling them for 100$. they are two 10" in a box. He has an amp but may need a new one.

I know nothing about amps and subs so would this be a good deal for two old 10" for 100$? or would it be better to get a newer one as i dont know how long subs usually last before they stop working.

Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated!
