My mother wants to transfer her house and 8 acres to me to avoid any taxes or fees that might be placed on the property if willed to me. I am an only child,

This is in the state of Alabama. The house is modest and is located in a rural area. She doesn't know if it would be better to sell it to me for $1.00 or if there is a better way of doing this.

Is it even legal to sell property for $1.00? What are the pitfalls of this sort of deal?

I've put her off for 2 years now and she is loosing patience with me..lol

Also don't know if it matters.. My father is deceased and the deeds are made out in his name and "his heirs".

I have a list of UPC numbers, a long list. I need them put in order. is there a program that I can download to do this. I have looked but I'm not typing the correct name.

I some how hit the "report as spam" button on an email from Yahoo Answers, too close to the "delete" button. How do I correct this mistake? I still want to recieve message for "recieved answer" and best answer.

My son was dating a girl , she got pregnant. When the child was born my son, trusting soul, signed the birth certificate. Now, due to recent information, there are some serious questions as to whether he is the child father..and she has left and took the child. If a paternity test is taken and it shows he is not the father is he still responsible for the child?

By chance does anyone realize this is a serious matter?

A jail inmate who made threats to kill President Bush because of the war in Iraq was sentenced Friday to 42 months in federal prison.

First off I think it is horrible to even think of any such thing....but you people obviously don't know this is not a joking matter. And IF you are serious..God help you.

And for the record the "impeach the president" is just as stupid. Just admit there is nothing anyone else would or could have done differently.

I keep reading how if President Bush had only took time to talk to her this wouldn't have happened. Where have these people been? HE DID meet with Sheehan. He refused to continue to do so when the rest of the US was falling apart.

Question? If these people are going to answer questions, shouldn't they do a "little" research first. Instead of looking like the "nut job" they are defending?

I know my feelings, I am just interested in others views on the subject.

My husband and I are planning a trip from Tampa Fl. over to the east coast and up to Savannah Ga. I would like to know some of the tourist attractions (the more unusual the better) we like simple yet interesting things. We plan on leaving on the 24 th. of January for a 4 or 5 day get away. I need info on places of interest in and around Savannah but if there is something along the way I would like to know. Also info on tours that are worthwhile.

There is a catalog that I have ordered from, the name on the catalog (the best I remember) is Fast Fashions. However that is not now they are listed on the web. I found it a year or so ago now I don't remember where. They have T-shirts eveningwear and two piece pants outfits. Can anyone help?
