  • I'm a retired RN and know how important privacy and nondisclosure?

is.....I am elderly and disabled....recently I started receiving help at home....the community helper would talk about details about her other clients which is a real no no. She also ordered me to watch certain programs, buy certain implements for her work and others were also available.....she also imposed her RADICAL religion on me....she was a good worker, I must say, but had many annoyances....she has now quit saying her other client in my town and I had pets which caused her severe allergies....so do you think I should now tell her employer about her vices.....after all, the disclosure thing is quite a big deal actually.....I think they should know.

  • My ex husband?

was rear ended by a hit and run driver and he suffered a cervical injury and has been recommended for surgery....we started with a well advertised lawyer for his lawsuit, but I am having to do all the work....they seem uninterested in really helping us and we are very dissatisfied.....we were recommended a new lawyer because we feel we are at a stalemate but the new lawyer says he cannot promise to take our case because it is unethical/''illegal'' for him to steal another lawyer's client....do we have any options at all if we are wanting to switch to a different lawyer or are we stuck?

  • Re: Texas Landlord Disputes?

    hypothetical situation:

2 houses next door to each other are owned by the same person who does not live

locally. Let's call ''a'' the person that lives in the smaller house and ''b''

the person that lives in the larger house.....at one time the gate they both share

to the back yard always stayed unlocked so ''a'' could water plants without

getting wet as ''a'' has no out door faucet. On or about 22au13 a stray pitbull

was running the neighborhood while ''a'' and her pet pug dog were getting out of

the car from shopping.....startled, the pug ran into ''b's'' garage as she had

electronically opened/closed the garage trapping the pug inside in Texas

heat.....with the help of a neighbor allaying the chaos created by the pitbull [a

friendly dog], ''a'' was unaware her pug was in the garage and searched for 2

hours around the neighborhood.....it was getting dark, several neighbors had been

notified of the missing dog and the police were called to keep a lookout.....all

that could be done had been so ''a'' went to the back yard to begin watering when

she heard her pug in respiratory distress in ''b's'' garage......''b'' was

immediately called, but wasn't answering her phone since she was teaching

''Zumba'' class.......so PopaLock and the cops were called and refused to pick the

lock to the garage without the owner's actual written consent.....the owner lives

2 hours away and has never informed ''a'' or ''b'' of owning fax.....with dog

dying inside the furnace-like garage, 2 helpful neighbors, an ex, and ''a'' made

the difficult decision to break down the door......''a'' was fully willing to pay

for the door and damages. Owner was notified without incident or strong

emotion....directly, ''b'' comes home IRATE [even though nothing was taken/damaged

& the door would be replaced at no expense to her].....''a'' tells her to check

her voice mail as many attempts had been made to notify her.....Owner and

aggressive daughter come next day and ''b'' takes them aside.....by the time she

is finished, Owner/daughter decide to threaten ''a'' with felony breaking/entering

charges, ban her from using the back yard and lock her out and make her sign her

whole lease again and issue her a warning. Following this ''a'' is promised a

copy of the lease she signed and a faucet to be put in on her side of the fence

THE FOLLOWING DAY......It is now ELEVEN days after the incident and no faucet is

in and ''a'' has not received her copies.....she is afraid to take recourse for

fear they will proceed with the ''breaking/entering'' charges....Does ''a''have

ANY rights in this? BTW, ''b'' is racist as the day is long, but prior to this it

    had been a comfortable situation.

  • Does the owner of a home that?

has a lucid senior citizen sibling living there have the right to have periodic ''inspections'' done to the room the siblings including full invasion of all drawers/closets/financial records? I believe this elder IS contributing from her monthly check to live here & during limited hours is responsible for their 95 yo father who has ADVANCED Ahlzheimer's and stays profoundly disoriented all the time. I also think this brother has full control of his elder sibling & father's checks......Is it an invasion of privacy and verbally what can the sibling say to the hateful ''inspector'' to let her know her discontent?

  • One of my computers crashed and I'm using the other,?

but my 3 in 1 printer/copier/scanner was new and I had to reinstall it to this other computer which is on Windows 7....This printer was working fine prior to this and even now the copier and printer are working fine, but when I go into Windows Fax and Scan, I get the

below dialog box when I try to get a new scan......the printer is a Canon MP 2120 MG Pixma and there are no compatibility issues.....I would think if there was a problem with the driver, I'd be having problems with the copier/printer as well. I need some help.
