1 AnswerBiology5 years agoPlease help?? How to find "Distribution coefficient"? I'll pick best answer!?
At 25°C, when 4.2 gram of iodine is dissolved in a mixture of 100 ml of water and 100 ml of carbon tetrachloride, there are 0.05 gram of iodine in water and 4.15 gram in CCl4. What is the distribution coefficient Kd = Co/Cwater between water and CCl4 at 25°C?
Please help? Thank you!

1 AnswerBiology6 years agoChances of getting into Northeastern University's school of Pharmacy?
Hi, I'm considering applying to Northeastern's school of pharmacy (Bouve College of Pharmacy) for the fall 2015 admission. I currently go to an undergraduate college and will be a senior this fall. I would be applying to NEU's pharmacy school as a P1 transfer student. This school, along with Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, are my top choices. The thing is, Albany College of Pharmacy has an early decision deadline on Sept. 1st. But if I do this and get accepted, then I can't apply to Northeastern, which is why I want to know if I even have a shot to get into NEU's pharmacy school (which is more competitive) based on my current stats. I honestly want to know what you guys think if my stats are even remotely good enough to be accepted to NEU pharmacy. If not, then I don't see why it would be worth applying when I may have a better chance at Albany College of pharmacy. As a matter of fact, I would also want to know if you guys think I should (or should not) do early decision for Albany if my stats are not up to par for NEU pharmacy? I just really want to know what you guys think and really want an honest opinion, because I feel like I'm in a bind here, since it's really whether I do Albany's early decision which is soon (Sept. 1st) or NEU's pharmacy school which would probably get back to me in weeks after the Sept. 1st deadline for Albany.
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)7 years agoQuestions about diving? Help?
The Guinness world record for underwater breathing record (for a human), which was done by breathing 100% O2 for 30 minutes before the dive, resulted in a breath-holding record of 20 min and 21 sec. What problem does 100% O2 solve?
What is different here from humans “free diving” (with records of 11 min and 35 sec)? Or a sea turtle submerged for 10 hrs. and 14 min?
Please help, thank you.

1 AnswerBiology7 years agoWhat are some of the cells?
My professor asked us this, but I could not find the right type of information I'm looking for. Can you please explain this so can know? What are some examples of cells and how do they differ, etc. Please answer this, Thank you.
She says:
2- Be able to list specific examples and discuss the ultrastructural (electron-microscopic) and light microscopic appearance of (a) a protein-secreting cell, and (b) a steroid (lipid) secreting cell. Also, understand the ultrastructural (organelles) differences between cells that are active in secreting proteins, as opposed to those that synthesize proteins but do not secrete them.
