I'm an atheist and am not here to offend or prove people wrong.

But in all seriousness....where from a Christian point of view is heaven and hell. When there is magma in the mantle of dense and semi dense lava below the crust of the earth which move through convection currents. And about you have air and atmosphere.......then no air and no atmosphere in space......

I never had have a religion so I suppose in an atheist. I don't feel like I need one. But in all honesty, I am happy, healthy and have lots of great people, friends and animals around me. So my point is if I had a religion what more could I possibly gain that I don't already have?

If you get divorced and become depressed, nearly drown, in a car crash etc etc etc. It is only then you feel vulnerable, sad and/or alone so then you become dependant on in believing that there is someone there for you. God. Someone who will give you mental confidence. However that is all it is. Almost like a placebo effect. I know not everyone has this experience which turns them and some people get to believe it through what there parents tell them but more than a fair share all of a sudden believe in god when they are sad or vulnerable so they can give the self belief or self confidence.

Does anyone else see religion to be any different..?

I've never played any Bioshock games and am wondering if I should get this one or not? It will be on my Xbox 360. I thought if it had online multiplayer it would encouragement to get it. But what other reasons is it worth getting and why is it different to other games?

I'm 17 and my dad lost his hair when he was 20. But my grandad has a full head of hair at 72... I have a full head of hair and I dont want to lose it but I know hair loss is common.

Whats YOUR opinion? Do you think we should bring the Death Penalty back?

In our prisons at the moment we have murderers, rappers and pedophiles. All have committed serious offences.

Is this the solution to solving the problem of over-crowded prisons? Where we pay taxes to keep the prisoners in these conditions, these condition which some may say are better than many homeless and less fortunate people because they have free food, shelter and warmth. Who would decide who dies and who lives and where is the line drawn? What if the wrong person was killed? would that be labeled manslaughter? If capital punishment was in place would that make people think twice about their actions? What about peoples 'RIGHT TO LIVE'? Another expression is 'an eye for an eye' but does killing the offender make justice? The death penalty may be very expensive but is it for the greater good or causing a worse evil? Also how do 'human rights' come into this.

Ultimately i want to hear YOUR opinion. I personally can see many positives and negatives in both arguments, for and against. I am no bias to either side (yet!). I am very interested in this topic and want to hear your thoughts on it. All posts appreciated. And this is all well natured to don't get to fiery :)
