Can the vaulters choose whatever length they want? I presume the longer the pole, the higher the jump and the one with the longest pole has the biggest advantage? 

So is the pole length limited by the rules? Maybe relative to the height of the bar? 

When learning a 3rd language do you learn the vocabulary in your 2nd or native language? E.g. English is your second language. Would you learn the translations of French words in English or your native language?

I'd just like to know what you do with small pet rodents if they fall ill. E.g. hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats.They are cheap to procure but vet bills can still be in the hundreds, depending on the ailment. Their lifespan with up to about three years is rather short too.

Isn't this a golf metaphor? In golf "sub par" is something good. Having required fewer strokes than the "par" on a golf course or a particular hole. Why is "sub par" colloquially used to describe something bad?

Do birds (pigeons) spread the virus? Do I need to stay clear of birds?

I got myself a new video game system the other day. It came with that game Super Hang On. Some motorcycle racing game. I cannot figure out what the mechanics are good for. They don't seem to do anything except cost a lot.

I just described them as warts because I don't know what they are. I think some other dogs have them too but I've noticed those little bumps especially on that breed.

All I can find are test/ demo videos about "water resistant" power strips. I'd like to know what would happen if I accidentally spilled water/ liquids over my regular power strips.
