  • What did you do for your son's first birthday party?

For my daughter we rented a hall and had a huge party. I really don't have the money and don't want to do anything so extravagant this time but I still want it to be fun and memorable for us. Thoughts/ideas?

  • Any tips for feeding a 9.5 month old solids other than baby food?

I didn't have this problem with my daughter...she ate solids right away without a problem. My son won't. I try putting stuff in his mouth for him to taste and he makes a scrunchy face and spits it out and if he does try to get it down, he gags like crazy! I was thinking of mixing mushy rice into his baby food as a start...any other thoughts/ideas. Help!

  • Anyone had a 3 year old girl with a UTI???

We were in the hospital ER last Saturday and Sunday nights with her. Her medicine has finally kicked in and she's feeling better but the problem is she is afraid to go pee on the toilet. She'll only go in the shower or tub. How to get her over this fear??

  • Spray tans??

Anyone ever have one? I have very light Irish skin and burn easily. I'm in my friend's wedding this weekend and am contemplating trying the spray tan. Light of course. Should I go for it? Is it worth it?

  • Hiding 3 year old!!?

Yesterday my mother-in-law, who watches my 3 year old 2 days a week, called me in a panic saying she couldn't find my daughter! I ran out of the office to her house which is only 2 miles away. Turns out she was hiding in the house the entire time and did so because she didn't like the lunch her grandmother served her. Anyone else been through this hiding/running away phase and how did you deal with it? I've spoken to her many times now about why not to do those things and she seems to understand. Hopefully it won't happen again! Scariest moment of my life!!!

  • Bringing my 3 year old in for first dental visit. What should we expect?

She's knows of the dentist from one of her Dora the Explorer books which is great but I don't know what the dentist will actually do to a child her age. Anyone been through this yet?

  • Potty Training question....?

My almost 3 year old is great going pee on the potty. Never has accidents anymore but when it comes to bowel movements it's a whole different story. Maybe once or twice a week she'll actually go poops on the potty, mostly she goes in her big girl panties. Anyone else dealing with this?? Advice??

  • Any ideas where to have a 3 year old girls winter birthday party without spending a small fortune?

We live in a small apartment and don't have any room to have even a few people over. New Year's baby so it's right after the holidays and don't want to spend a small fortune. Would like to keep it simple.
