  • Shin fractures?

I've always known I've had bad shin problems with running. In highschool I got such bad shin splints from tennis that I was limping around all day and practice was hell. Fast forward 12 years and I'm 28 and giving running a second try after my shoulders went to hell from weightlifting.

I've run twice this week. Both runs were for 1.5 miles each. I ran at nearly the slowest pace you could call a jog. I never got out of breath and maintained my pace the entire run. I'm not landing on my heels as I run. So after these two runs spaced out over 5 days, I can already feel my shins hurting. I always thought it was a muscle issue but as I'm reading now, a very specifically located pain on the inside of the shin that feels better in the morning and is not effected by flexing my ankles upward, is likely bone fractures in the tibia? I'm relatively certain this is the issue.

Are there any ways to avoid this problem? My stride seems very low impact and I've only run twice. Is this an indicator of a guy that's never going to be a runner? I thoroughly enjoy running and really need this to work for exercise being my upper body is toast. I ran a 6:30 mile in 4th grade... I'd love to get back to those days...

    Any help is appreciated.

  • can I run a light and a fan/light off a single GFCI in a bathroom?

I have a few questions actually.

    1. Can I run 2 switches off of a single 15A GFCI in a bathroom? 1 switch will run a light. The other will run a fan and a light. Both will be powered from the load side of a GFCI.

    2. If I cannot do my first question, can I run 2 seperate GFCI off one 12-2 Romex source via a junction box and have one power the light and the other power the light and fan via switches?

    Any help is much appreciated.

  • Whats the CA code on home electrical?

Im doing a major remodel and am moving outlets, adding GFI etc. I know I need junction boxes at any break in the circuit, for example my 12-2 is now too short so I need to put a junction in the attic and put it in a box. Will any box pass or do I need a particular box? Also does the Romex need to be secured to the box or can I just run it in, make my connections and staple near the box to secure the wire? Finally I want to make sure I understand GFI usage. Its essentially an inline fuse that should be your first connection in the room, correct?

  • what does it mean that me and my bro had the same dreams?

So I had a dream that my brother died. I was destroyed. I wake up and he calls to check on me. He said he just had a dream that I died. Different dreams but the other brother dies in both our dreams. Hes 15 months younger then me. It seems crazy because my dream had a lasting affect on me after waking up. Being he called me I know he also was greatly effected by his dream. I believe we had our dreams at the same point in time aswell.

    Whats the significance of this?

  • Can a CA state employee threaten to have CHP arrest me?

Ive been dealing with CalPers trying to get my refund processed. Theyve fought me every step of the way. Finally in a conversation i told an employee over the phone that "That is F**king Bulls**t". Then he says im being recorded and i need to be careful or he'll send CHP to "come pick me up".

That seems like a threat. Also is my remark even legally speaking a problem? In America id say no way but we are talkin California.

  • Which system will create more dynamic pressure?

Ive had an ongoing debate about pipe sizing and wether or not reducing the size of the pipe on a given valve as you go will help any as far as dynamic pressure for the sprinklers example. 10 sprinklers evenly spaced over 300ft of pipe. In one system the pipe size is reduce as it goes. It starts at 2" pvc and ends at 3/4" pvc. The second system runs 2" pipe the entire length. Which system under the most ideal conditions will have better dynamic pressure ie. Get the water to spray better from each sprinkler?

  • CA laws with private contracting?

Im interested in breaking into side work doing Residential and Commercial Irrigation repairs and new installs. I already have a 9-5 job doing Commercial irrigation work. I also currently do side work underneath a guy with his C-27. Id like to collect the entire check for myself rather then get paid hourly while the boss just shows up and bids the job and makes all the money.I hear that $500 or less and you arent required to have your C-27 License. If your currently in the bussiness id love to hear from you. Any legal info is much appreciated. Im having trouble nailing down the specifics of this type of works legal requirements.

  • Why am i always fatigued?

Within the last 3-4 weeks ive had to take naps mid day from being so tired. And i feel weaker then i use to. I shoot guns a lot and simply holding a shotgun in a firing position gets my arms burning quickly. I eat poorly and dont really exercise much. But thats nothing new. The fatigue however is new. Any ideas of typical causes?

Im 25 years old next month, my Live in Girlfriend ive been with for 5 months is 18 years old. I love her and she has lots of great quality's but she acts like a little kid some times. she throws fits and screams and cries and kicks her feet on the bed and expects me to come to her when she acts this way. her defense to being wrong in an argument is to cry and then after a while she tries to call me to her. this time i let her fit run its course and she gave up and stormed out because i didnt give in. thats where im at right now. anyone else have this problem or do i just need to find a girl closer to my age?
