Can I get money from the FAFSA if I will be less than half-time in school?
I will only be taking one class, so I will be less than half-time/part-time. Will I be eligible to receive anything from the FAFSA if I do this? It will be for this coming-up fall semester. I went to fafsa.gov, but I was unable to find out if I would be eligible for anything.
Also, I may be able to take that class in the summer. If it's only for the summer semester, would I be eligible for FAFSA then? I don't think they offer summer aid, but I am not sure.
I would only be in one class because it will be the last class that I need to graduate and I don't want to take any more. Also, I have not applied for the FAFSA yet. Should I even bother applying now? I don't expect to get anything from the state (Illiinois) but I want to know if the government even has funds left right now if I apply once I get an answer here.
5 AnswersFinancial Aid8 years agoHow do I enable scrolling with my laptop touch pad (Toshiba Satellite L455)?
I have a Toshiba Satellite 455 with Windows 7 and a Synaptics mouse/pointer and the touch pad won't work. When I try scrolling from either the far right or bottom, the image that it normally shows (of the scroll bar in place of where ever the pointer is) does come up, but it does not cause the page to move up/down/left/right. I've had this computer for about three years now, and haven't had this problem.
I tried to go into control panel and checking the different tabs for the mouse/pointer settings, but it just says that the device is already working properly. I found the tab that said "device settings" and then selected "settings" under that, but it just acted like the device was working properly. I also tried updating the driver, but was told that I already have the most recent version. I tried disabling the pointer and then re-enabling, but that didn't work either.
I have no idea what's wrong with it. I've been trying different solutions I can find online, but they all say the same thing and it isn't working.
I can still use the touch pad to move the pointer around with my finger and use the pointer to click buttons by tapping the touch pad and highlight text, but I can't make it scroll.
How do I enable scrolling? If I need to uninstall the whole thing, how do I re-install it?
Thanks!!
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks9 years agoIf you answer a question and the question gets deleted, do you lose the points for having answered it earlier?
I was just wondering if I had answered a question and the question gets deleted later for some reason if I would also lose the two points I had earned for having answered it earlier. Two points don't really matter to me, but I was just wondering. It would be really unfair if they were removed if it wasn't the answerer's fault.
Also, would there be a difference made if the question was deleted because it was reported or because the asker chose to delete it? I feel that regardless, they should take away the points, but I can seem to find anything in the explanations that Yahoo! provides on the subject.
Thanks for answering!
7 AnswersYahoo Answers9 years agoIf a question is deleted on Y!A, does that mean that all of the responses are reported for violations too?
I had answered a question but found out later that it had been reported by the community. My answer was not in any way offensive or against the community guidelines. When I checked to see the actual question to see if maybe someone else had commented saying that they were offended by by answer, I found that the question itself had been deleted.
I want to know if I was reported because the question was reported or if maybe someone else answering just wanted to report everyone and get the question removed. Maybe it was even the asker just reporting everyone for some reason. I tried to search for the process behind reporting things on Yahoo! and how they would be verified, but I found nothing relevant. This is actually the second time that this situation has happened to me. If anyone knows how this stuff works, please tell me! Thanks a bunch!

3 AnswersPolls & Surveys9 years agoAny recommendations for fantasy book series/novels?
I read mostly fantasy and adventure series. I prefer longer series with many books and characters, but I don't mind shorter ones or just stand-alone novels either. I have read a lot of good stuff over the years and am afraid that I've run out of reading material.
The things I've read recently include:
"The Malazan Book of the Fallen" series by Steven Erikson
"The Prince of Nothing" and "Aspect-Emperor" trilogies by R. Scott Bakker
"The Chronicles of Thomas Covanent, the Unbeliever" by Stephen R. Donaldson.
"A Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R. R. Martin (I got kind of bored with this series, actually.)
I've also read authors like David Eddings, Mercedes Lackey, David Keck, Tad Williams, and Ian Esslemont. When I was younger I used to read Tamora Pierce's works as well, so if there are adult equivalents of those I'd like those too. I've read almost everything by these authors and am looking for new stuff to read. Or old stuff; I like older books as well. And before you recommend this, I have read "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "The Hobbit" but anything similar is welcome.
I like epic fantasies that are set in crazy new worlds that are complex and exist in their own universe that will be completely different from mine, but things that are set in actual historic areas are good too. Also, they don't need to be about heroes using magic to kill dragons or heroes doing something to save something else; they can be about anything at all. They just have to captivate me and fill me with wonder.
They also don't have to be new books that are newly written/currently being written and they don't have to be books that were written 30 years ago. Just pick whatever you like. Any recommendations?
