5 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology7 years agoWhat are your favorite herb combinations for tea?
I went to an herb shop for the first time and got some slippery elm for my sore throat which I mixed with some cloves for fun and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made. I'm looking to purchase some more herbs before I leave town. I always liked lavender, but Ive' only had it teabag form mixed in with mint and lemon.

13 AnswersPolls & Surveys7 years agoSpilled drink on MacBook,?
In a stupid drunken move I spilled cider+alcohol on my MacBook. It continued to work for 10 minutes after this until I lifted it up and it automatically shut off. So I turned it on again and tried to log in when I realized my keyboard was completely screwed up. Then no matter how many times I turned it off it would just turn on again until I unscrewed the back and removed the battery.
I'm a college student who doesn't have the time or money to get this professionally checked out unless totally necessary. It's been around half an hour now, and I have the laptop face down with battery removed. What else should I do? Honestly, is there a chance of this being fixed or am I completely screwed?
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks7 years agoThinking of a name for a city?
In my story, this city is underground and inhabited primarily by psychics and other magical people - new agey kind of stuff. The city is known as mysterious, magical, enchanting by the rest of the world, and the inhabitants are strange in a mystical, otherwordly way. They also almost never leave; the whole town is kind of like a cult. The city itself is lit by crystals. It's also known for it's nightclub-like parties.
I'm not sure if that's a good enough description. I'm looking for a name like Ellesmera, something otherwordly and mysterious.

10 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoI burned my finger - no feeling and no pain?
Yesterday morning I grabbed a 200 degree straightener with my hand and immediately ran my finger under cold water. There was no pain, no redness, no swelling, but I lost all feeling in it. After 24+ hours the entire length of my finger is smooth and shiny - no finger prints - and I still can't feel anything at all even when I press it against something. Basically I've lost all sense of touch where it was apparently burned.
There was a section of my hand which I didn't get to run under water, and that turned red and stung like a normal burn. What's going on?
1 AnswerFirst Aid8 years agoCould I switch from third to first person in my story?
I used to write my story in first person from my protagonist's point of view until a friend told me she liked my third person better. The thing is, I feel that I'm able to write more easily and meaningfully when using first and that it gives me better control.
But I also want to occasionally dive into other character's perspectives, which would be done in third person.
My question is, do you think it's a horrible idea that will end in a train wreck if I switch back and forth from first person narrative with my protagonist to some third person perspectives from other characters? They would be separated, of course, by chapters or line breaks.
4 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoHow does the Teen Titans TV series relate to the comic books?
How does it relate to Young Justice, the New Teen Titans, Team Titans, etc?
I never knew the cartoon characters were based off of actual DC characters and basically I'm just so confused, are the cartoon network characters like Starfire the same ones from . . . the other stories (not even sure about those)?
5 AnswersComics & Animation8 years agoWhich word is correct?
"Anxiety has screwed with my life. However, paradoxically, it left me with something positive: strength. I took this strength and applied it to other areas of my life."
Would the word ironically work better instead of paradox?
My friend is saying that because paradox means 'a contradictory effect', it's correct.
While ironic means the opposite of what one expects.

3 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoIs everything happening in Homestuck just in the game, or is it in their real life?
I'm on page something of Homestuck, it's in the beginning though. John just saw a "giant meteor" heading towards his house and is telling TT about it. So my question is, what's the difference between the game they're playing and real life? Is the meteor heading towards his house in the game only, or is it going towards his actual house? And if so, does that mean that everything that happens in the game is also happening in real life?
I'm soooo confused.
3 AnswersPolls & Surveys9 years agoWhat's the term for being a Christian but not belonging to a sub-religion?
I'm Christian, but after trying out and learning more about Catholicism, Methodist, etc, I find that I don't really agree with all those sub-divisions. There's a label for this but I can't remember what it's called . . .
