Okay so I've been having problems with my boyfriend of 2 months. We differ quite majorly with our religious beliefs. Honestly, I could care less about whatever the hell he believes. It's none of my business. The thing that irks me, however, is that he openly states how stupid my beliefs are. To me, my beliefs are a defining part of my character, so I really take to heart what he says. Obviously he's entitled to his opinions, but when he's pushing them onto me, well... That really pisses me off. It hurts that he shows so much blatant disrespect to me about something he knows is important to me. I try my hardest to understand his religious perspective, but I'm getting tired of him scoffing at mine. Will this work out for us?

ok guys i have some issues. I cry sometimes when im lying in bed just to get iT (EVERYTHING) all out of my head. But then i get a wonderful feeling. When i wake in the morning , and i step outside, ill take a deep breath, and get real high, and then Ill scream at the top of my lungs (I cant help it) WHATS GOING ON!

Given the equation y= -8x^2 , identify the vertex, focus, and directrix, then sketch the graph.

I have no idea what form this parabola is in? i thought standard form for a parabola had (h,k) in it.I think i understand how to find the focus (0, 1/4a), but i dont know about the vertex,directrix, and of course, graphing.

-for the directrix, my book told me that x= -1/4a. i got -2. what do i do with that? graph it as (0, -2)

so first i completed the square

x^2-10x+11+(-10/2)^2

then i rewrote it as

x^2-10x+36-25

since the square is completed now, i rewrote it once again

(x+5)^2+11

above is in vertex form, so now i know the vertices are (5,11)

please correct if im wrong. im stuck on how to do this

Im a high school sophomore and I really would like to work in the medical field when im older, the human body is extremely interesting to me. I know the obvious jobs, such as an md, and if you choose to specialize , such as in oncology. there are also nurses, but im sure there has to be more job choices than that! do you know any others, especially ones in oncology or general health. thanks

What is a linear accelerator? I think i have a basic idea- it accelerates atomic matter through a 'linear' tube ,or something like that. Im in the first trimester of chemistry at my high school, and i was wondering if someone could explain what they are and do to me in a not super complicated/advanced way. whats the point of them- to treat cancer?

I find these two to be like oil and water, you cant really have one if you have the other. I would choose to have security; I would know my family is safe, we will have clothes and shelter, food on the table, and a steady income. I do understand my life would not be very fulfilling; I probably wouldnt have a high income, I wouldnt be able to do certain things anymore that I may have enjoyed, my life wouldnt be as pleasurable, but at least I could count on my life being relatively consistent and i would have the necessities to survive.

I'm trying out for a bunch of sports this year and all of them involve a ball. My volleyball skills camp is this week and i find myself jumping out of the way and flinching and simply being scared the ball is going to hit me. is there anything i can do to stop being this way? thanks

i know its normal for a lot of girls to get nervous when talking to guys, but how do you eventually get over that?? there are a lot of really nice guys i kinda know that id really like to be friends with, but i get all nervous when they come to talk. any tips??

I always thought since there was no gravity in space, and since it is a vacumn, you wouldnt be able to hear anything, including explosions etc that you hear in space movies, like star trek. Am i right??
