  • How do I find out more info about a computer that is using my wireless access point?

I have an open wireless network, and there is a PC named amanda attached to it. Years ago I used to have a program that would check out a computer on the network for me and tell me what OS it was using, open ports, etc. Here's the kicker- now I'm using OS X, and I don't have squat for hacking tools or hacking knowledge. How can I tell more about that computer? And I know, I know- just secure my network... I really don't care that much about somebody using my internet, and I don't worry too much about my Mac getting hacked, but I am curious and I want to see who's been connected for the last 45 minutes...

  • Have you ever heard of Kid Sensation? Do you know where I can get his only album?

I've looked on Limewire... I used to have his CD, and I think I still have the cd case, but I lost the disc years ago. I'd like to at least find the song "Two Minutes," but I'd really like the whole album, so if you have some ideas, or have the album let me know! Thanks!

  • How long is a debt to a hospital valid?

Over two years ago I had outpatient surgery at the local hospital. My insurance co-pay was $50. I think I paid it, but I just got a collection agency letter, so when I called the hospital they told me that they had done an audit, and that's how they found it. They didn't bother to send me a bill, they just sent it to collections. I have no proof that I paid it, because I use a different bank now. I just can't imagine that I would let bills slip by back then, so I don't think it was unpaid back then. What can I do? Should I just pay the $60 (they're charging interest) or is there a legitimate way to make them cancel this two year old debt that they haven't cared about until now?

  • Are Starbucks and Quiznos related somehow?

I can't help but to notice that the last 4 or 5 new Starbucks in my area also have a brand new Quizno's opening in the same center.

  • Jacuzzi Spa has horrible noxious (bromine?) fumes coming from it- Why and how do I fix it?

I'm at a cousin's house, and her jacuzzi seems to be emitting bromine fumes. I don't have a lot of experience with spas, but I'm trying to figure out the cause and fix. I've tested the total bromine, which is at the low end of okay on the scale (1.3ppm). The pH is low (6.8) so I've just added pH boost and I'm waiting 30 min to recheck.

    Any help/ideas appreciated!

  • Can you help me with the history and age of a bottle of Chateaux brand Creme de Menthe?

The bottle is a 4/5 quart clear glass bottle with screw top. It has the IRS tax stamp, number 338686709, with a price of $2.99 stamped on it. On the bottom of the label it says: "PREPARED & BOTTLED BY The Clear Spring Distilling Co CLERMONT, KENTUCKY" and says that it is a division of James B Beam distilling company. I'd like to know if anybody has a rough guess of how old this is, and since it's nearly full, if the creme de menthe is still drinkable! Thanks!

  • Which of the 2006 or 2007 "big three" diesel trucks is the best for both off-road use and towing?

I have a 25 foot bumper-pull toy hauler that I want to take places other than RV parks. I also would like to occasionally take the truck on pretty bad roads.

I currently have an '01 F-350 crew cab short bed that is lifted 5". I would probably want a similar configuration, minus most or all of the lift. I've had two transmission rebuilds- the first without ever even towing a trailer! I'm definitely fed up with the 01 Ford tranny. I want reliability and performance, without a lot of aftermarket mods (except maybe a chip).

  • Do you think that diesel will ever be cheaper than gasoline again (in USA)?

When I bought my diesel truck three years ago, diesel was about 40 cents a gallon cheaper, and for the previous 5 years diesel was generally a lot cheaper than gasoline. Is that going to happen again? Why or why not? I know the new ultra-low sulfur standards increase refining costs, but it seems other factors are making it more expensive, too.

  • How long does it take (by the book) to replace the fuel pickup and sending unit in a 2001 Ford Powerstroke?

I'm waiting for a call back from the dealership, and they also want to replace the fuel pump (frame mounted electric) and flush the injectors. Should I have them do those things, too? And what is the time to r&r the fuel pump?

  • Is Mike's "Mike-arita" classic lime blended drink supposed to have floatees in it?

We bought one of the large bottles of the Mike-arita mix that you're supposed to blend, and there are little bits of something floating in it. Anybody else have a bottle they can look at? We also got the frozen Lemonade stuff to blend (not normal Hard Lemonade) and it doesn't have any floatees.

  • How long should a fuel pump in a 2001 Ford Powerstroke last?

We just got a pretty big trailer, and when pulling it up hills on our first trip, things started out fine, but then we lost power. I changed the fuel filter, things were fine for almost 200 miles. Then, going up a hill again yesterday, we lost power. I changed the fuel filter again, paranoid that I had gotten bad gas, and it worked again. I really don't think I got bad gas, as I had run two good tanks of fuel through. Could it be the fuel pump? This has the frame mounted electric pump- is it as easy to change, with the right tool, as my friend says? Thanks!!!
