Little by little, my dashboard lights have been coming on one by one; the "service engine soon" first, and initially the scan showed something in the right rear of the car, and I was told that it was likely a sensor.

Now it's progressed to the "brake," "traction off" and "anti-lock" lights. On top of all that, lately the car has been hiccuping, and actually died while waiting in a long turn line.

I've heard that because this stuff is so vague, shops will look at one thing at a time, and run up the bill trying to fix one thing at a time, on purpose or not, I don't know, but I don't have the money right now to play this game of trial and error. My son needs to take his driving test soon and all these lights do not make an acceptable vehicle to do so.

Please, I need to be armed with some solid ideas BEFORE taking it to the shop. Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated!

It's a manual tilt that is currently not tilted. I just want to put it away for winter soon and don't want to chuck the whole thing just for this.

Who is this person? Can't find it anywhere!

Where can I find the real deal? Do recycle shops sell it? How do I know the code is valid?

We've had a robin's nest under our deck last year and this, complete with babies. Is this likely to be the same one? Do robins mate for life or anything close? Can we name "Mom" if this is the same one???

I'd have thought that if the grass is producing seed that it would replenish itself and I'd end up with thick, healthy grass.

That's what it sounds like anyway. I've heard it's a guide or something that it's time to get the brakes checked. I'm inclined to agree, but is it possible it could be anything else??

2002 Bonneville 3800 motor.

Battery ran down... replaced.

Fuel gauge computer thingy messed up... replaced.

Serpentine belt shredded, pulley froze... replaced.

Two days later the "check engine light" came on... again!

So now I'm thinking there's some common denominator in all of these things...

ANY IDEAS?

I've spent enough money replacing all these peripheral things and need to get to the bottom of this. I love this car, but this is getting old.

I heard the belt going on my way home from work yesterday, when I got to my neighborhood it squealed its last and now I have no power steering and will take a look when it's light out. Got the car safely home, but now what? I really have no idea what kind of belt this is other than mentioned, or if it's safe to drive to get it replaced, and THEN, because it's almost Christmas, HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? Is it possible to replace this at home?

Any help, ideas, etc. will be greatly appreciated!

Is the block easily accessible or will it take hours to do the job?

I'm a single mom, being over-run by my son. He's had ADHD all of his life and during his high school years got into plenty of trouble, mostly getting high and drinking that would spill over to other issues with the law. He did get his GED in jail and is currently on probation for like another 1.5 years. He's been clean and sober since early this year. He's tried getting jobs but his court cases are still open because of the probation and it shows up during the application processes. I'm sure he feels defeated but ultimately the choices were his to end up as things are.

He stays up all night, sleeps all day, eats, drinks loads of my coffee and steals my cigarettes. He does have a temper and is quite the handful (to say the least) in an argument over any of these things. As if this weren't enough, I also have three other middle/high school kids that he messes with, too. They are more "normal" kids and they are getting very tired of all this as well. I feel a good amount of guilt and question every decision I made over the years regarding him. It's obvious he has to go, but I don't know how to do it without having him go off the deep end.

Any USEFUL ideas appreciated.

The old battery keeps running very low (and out) and wondering if this is the original (2002) do they still need water like the old ones? Is it possible to just refill it and charge it?

What do I do about the height of kitchen cabinets that are already there if I need to put down another plywood?

It stopped working over the final warm days of hot summer when the A/C was needed. Now it's getting cold and we still have no fan because I don't know what to do. Could it really be possible that replacing the thermostat is all that's needed? Did they install a cheap digital one 3 yrs. ago when the house was new? The furnace and A/C are all 3 yrs. old as well.

The guy's hair was half down his back in a giant red-orange-looking pony tail covering his name and half of his back number - couldn't read either one! Looking at the roster photos I can't tell who it is... even the ones mentioned thus far. Must know whose hair this is!!! It's incredible!
