Intermittent FMLA reporting/recertification to employer - every 15 days?
My spouse has been on intermittent FMLA for a while. He has NOT used up his time, but they are now asking for a re-certification (which sounds reasonable) and 'updates' from his doctor. But they want the updates every 15 days???
Is this legal? He's expected to see his doctor every two weeks? Also, is there a way to get the company to either pay for his time off or cover the additional costs of his co-pays?
Any serious advice is appreciated.
Thanks.
7 AnswersLaw & Legal9 years agoRecipe for Carrot Cake that does NOT use refined sugar or chemical substitutes?
Help - trying to avoid refined sugar for my 1 year old and need a recipe - I've heard there are ones that use apple sauce and/or juice instead?
Also - do you have a recipe for a cream cheese frosting that doesn't use sugar?
Thank you!
7 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoI need a simple, easy 'shake & bake' type of recipe for chicken.?
I couldn't fit some into the freezer, so I'd better cook it.
Do you have a good easy recipe - or should I just go buy a box?

Any input?

3 AnswersCruise Travel1 decade agoWhy do some people find it annoying that I refer to my 9-month old as "the baby"?
My co-worker gets crazy about it. I admit that I say things like "The baby kept me up last night" and "Would you like to hold the baby?" but it isn't like my little guy doesn't know his name. In fact, I sort of think of it as "The Baby" when I'm talking about him (he's my only) and really I think I'm sort of being a snob in my own weird way, but she gets oddly bent out of shape and will do things to make me say his name (like it matters or I'd forgotten - LOL)
Do other people think it's odd that to refer to my own child this way or have you had experiences where people react like you don't know your kid's name? Or is this weird?
Just wondering . . .
9 AnswersParenting1 decade agoWhat type of whale hit that boat?
It's a remarkable photo - but I'm afraid I don't know my whales well enough and my friend and I were discussing it.
I also wonder if there are any scientific explanations as to why a whale would do this?
2 AnswersZoology1 decade agoTwo silly kids songs that I can't recall the words to . . .?
So, the first one I can remember the beginning of:
Do your ears hang low? Do they waggle to and fro?
Can you tie them in a knot? Can you tie them in a bow?
Then I'm missing the next line . . . help?
Second one, I remember the ending of (and no, it doesn't go with the first one! LOL)
And when you're up, you're up.
And when you're down, you're down.
And when you're only halfway up - you're neither up nor down.
Help?
Thanks!!!
6 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoWill wearing a wrist brace just make that region weaker in the long run?
I'm really hating it - and now I feel like I should have both wrists and both elbows. I wasn't needing them so badly before I started getting them treated, but now they are hurting. I don't know if this is because they are moving back where they should be and so are unaccustomed or what.
Any experience with this?
2 AnswersOther - General Health Care1 decade agoIs it better to run your clothes dryer on a short hot cycle or a long low one?
I know it's best to drip dry, but that isn't always an option.
I'm wondering which costs more electricity?
thx.
3 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade ago(Rant) Have you ever worked at a company that just would NOT give in a buy an ergonomic keyboard tray?
I ended up at several - I really don't know what to think of it. It blows my mind that they would reconfigure my workstation rather than spend $300 on a keyboard tray. And it still isn't right. <sigh>
And this isn't the only company where this has happened to me. Is it me? Am I picking weird places to work or have other people run into this too?
(sorry for the rant)
3 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat did they use quartz for in WWII?
We went to a place that they used to mine the quartz - I was surprised that it was mined with explosives and the stones (well, the ones that were left) are mostly white.
What were they using this for?

My friend told me they had heard something on the radio, but the only stuff I can find are for remote controllers and trucks - not anything with the bricks.
Does anyone know or did my friend hear wrong?
Thanks!

I don't want to just pick the most expensive, but I know there are differences.
Someone once told me that they should be "Articulating" - does that matter?
How can you judge? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
