  • Trying to Find This Book?

Trying to find a book I read a lot of years ago. It was YA or possibly middle grade about a society's teenagers who all spent a lot of time in a mall-like setting. I don't remember if they lived there but they had their education and recreation and spent most of their time there. All the teens are part of a social network. At some point a kind of revolution happens where this face "._." features heavily. Our main character ends up leaving the social network but in the end realized that the whole "revolution" aspect of everything was a ploy to get everyone to move to a different network.

I'd really like to find this book! Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Does Ohio Issue Enhanced Licenses?

The only thing I can find on it is an article from May 2014 about the bill being introduced. Ohio isn't listed on the DMV website at all for this but I might not be looking in the right place or maybe I missed it. I was just looking to see how much it would cost and now I'm thinking I can't even get one.

  • Windows nailed shut, nails painted over and very rusty, how to open them?

We bought an older home and most of the windows are nailed shut. The windows open by sliding up and the nails are not in the sash, instead they're in the middle wooden... bar? that goes across the middle of the two window parts (it's the top part of the bottom window if that helps, I couldn't find the name for it). I can see where the nails are and have tried clearing away the paint but the heads are so rusted that they're falling apart as I'm clearing the paint around them. Is there anyway to get these nails out? I've considered trying to take out the sash and just pull out the whole window but I'm afraid that will do more damage than needs to happen.

I m doing some research on popular phrases and am having trouble finding an origin for this phrase. If anyone can provide a website or some kind of information on the history of this phrase: first uses, how long it took to grow in popularity, etc. that would be awesome! I d rather have sites than just explanations but if you re going off memory that s fine. Any details will be helpful! Thanks!

  • Board Game for My Dad?

My dad is extremely hard to buy for. since Christmas is coming I'm looking for ideas. The ONLY thing he really likes is spending time with family. He never asks for anything but quality time so it's a struggle to find something to give him because I still want to give him a physical gift. Someone suggested a board game but I have no idea which one, or what to look for. It has to be a game that he'll enjoy but also me and my sisters and mom will be content playing since the point would be to play as a family. (I'm 20, sisters are 17 and 14 so no kid games) I don't know how to go about looking for a good family game I could give him and would appreciate any ideas!

He likes strategy, we're not big fans of it but can enjoy it.

He's a very strong Christian so Bible based might be good.

17yr old doesn't like being around him so possibly focus on her interest levels especially, she likes games like Settler's of Catan and Clue the Great Museum Caper.

He likes word/vocabulary based games and so do I (like Boggle and Scrabble).

Something fast paced, can be played in an hour or less.

Nothing about Pop-culture, he has no interest in anything relating to celebrities or movies.

    Preferably no card games.

I know this is asking quite a bit, but if any games come to mind at all I'd like to hear them. Thanks so much!

  • A good sniper rifle for my character, he's hunting wolves?

I'm writing a story about werewolves and I need a gun for the hunter. I don't know a lot about guns in general so I need a lot of help. My character is an average male with some knowledge of weaponry but he's not too sophisticated. He needs a rifle with a long range, is easy to transport, and isn't going to create too much suspicion if found in his possession.

Even if all you can give me is an idea that'd be great because I don't even know how to begin looking up what kind of gun I should use for his character.

  • Microsoft Word question?

I just downloaded Microsoft Office 2013 and am using a Word document. The document is not scrolling the way I want it to. Instead of smoothly scrolling down the document, it jumps from line to line. I want it to scroll just like it used to scroll, smoothly moving down the page. Is there a setting for this? Or is Microsoft just being stupid?

  • Cause of Chronic Ear Pain?

I'm going to end up just listing things about my ear pain in no particular order. Sorry for any confusion.

Ever since I was about 1yr old I have had chronic ear pain and infections. Each year I ended up with ear infections and sometimes intense pain. Last year a nurse suggested that the infections were caused by allergies. I've been taking allergy medication that worked when I started but has seemed to lose its effectiveness.

January of 2012 I had a particularly bad ear infection that lasted more than three months.

I have pain in both ears that feels... stuffy. The pain increases dramatically whenever I hear loud noises or have to talk on the phone. The pain can linger for over an hour after initially talking on the phone even if I only spoke for a few minutes. This sensitivity happens every year from autumn through spring and the beginning of summer. It's been especially bad this year.

I went to a specialist at the end of last year. I had a hearing test and checkup and he said that my ears were perfectly fine and that my hearing was good. My general practitioner doctor has been unable to offer any advice about how to deal with this chronic pain.

Right now all I can do is try to never talk on the phone or be near loud people. It's not a solution.

Basically, I just want to know if ANYONE has some kind of idea as to what the problem is with my ears.

  • What do the symbols mean in chat bar on Facebook?

In the side bar my friend has a grayscale "7h" next to her name along with the symbol that means she's on her phone. I know there's also a music note that means they are listening to music online.

What does the 7h mean next to her name? And is there a list of possible symbols and what they mean?

  • Why is Risk: Lord of the Rings Edition no longer in production?

I've been looking around and can't find the reason for it's absence. My sister got a set several years ago and I really enjoyed it and kind of wanted my own.

  • Is using a different word for the meat of an animal unique to English?

I heard somewhere that English is the only language that uses different words for the animal and meat of the same animal, for example "cow" and "beef". However, I looked up words in French and they also have a different word for the meat of an animal than they do for the animal itself.

I'm wondering if I either did my research incorrectly and this is in fact a unique trait to English or perhaps my original source was just completely wrong and it's not a uniquely English thing. I'm leaning toward the latter but am interested in some peer input.

  • What is the function of Biblical poetry?

What is the purpose? Is it supposed to be informative or just pretty? Does it tell us more about God or just the author's view of God?

If you could point me to a good website I would really appreciate it.

  • What kind of spider is this?

I live in West Michigan, Grand Rapids area. I noticed a spider living next to my chimney outside by the meter. I hate spiders and have never seen this kind before so I want to know if he's dangerous or not.

He's a bit bigger than a quarter with a large, whiteish-yellowish bulbous body with brown underneath

    Yellow and black striped legs.

The web looks like a very typical spider web.

    He's pretty fast moving.

It's starting to get colder here so I'd like to know if he has a tendency to come into houses during the winter so I can relocate him if I need to.

  • Error "No bootable device-- insert boot disc and press any key"?

I have a Lenovo G570 laptop with Intel core i5 and Windows 7.

I was on it and suddenly everything froze, it shut down, and now when I try to restart it I get the error: No bootable device -- insert boot disc and press any key

Is there a way to fix this? I found a site that talked about pressing esc right when I start it up to get to a menu of some kind but no matter how many times I try I can't get to what they are suggesting. I can only press F2 and get to a menu with Information, Configuration, Security, and Boot at the top tabs but that's about all I can do with my laptop right now.

This is the site I was looking at: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam...

I really need help with this and I know very little as far as codes go so please guide me step by step if you can!

  • Can't remember the title for this book, here's the plot?

It's in the future and the way teens learn about history is by going back in time as a hologram and actually watch people. One teen's laptop seems to be malfunctioning because it's bringing real objects from the past into the present, which it's not supposed to do b/c it's all about using holograms so they don't mess anything up.

I cannot remember what the title for this book is!! I think the cover was black and green but I don't know for sure. Can anyone help me with this??

  • How to put a line above text in Microsoft Word 2010?

In the paragraph section at the top of the document is a button next to the little paint bucket icon that I can click on to choose borders to go around selected text or the page or whatever. I click that and want ONLY the top border but it keeps putting a box around the text instead! I can't figure out why this is happening. I've tried making a custom border but it still won't allow me to have a line above the text.

Can anyone help me with this? Is there a setting I need to change or something I'm doing wrong?
