Do you think it's excessive to spend five MILLION dollars on a shooting range?
The Charlottesville and Albemarle Police depts. are wanting their own private shooting range because they are tired of being embarrassed by all the accidental shootings that have taken place at the local public shooting range. Virtually ALL the accidental shootings of each other and themselves and of houses in the area have been by police and deputies. They want to spend five million dollars on their own private shooting range. That's the money that belongs to the public. Is that excessive or not?
3 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police8 years agoEthics Question, What Should I Have Done in This Case?
I emptied out the cat's litter box this morning, and as a rule I never keep the used cat litter around the house but take it down to the dumpster the same day I clean. I had the bag in my car when I pulled over to get a box turtle out of the road. Nobody was coming either direction. However, when I returned to my car the very next vehicle to come up behind me was a cop. (Just my luck!) Now, he pulls over and walks up to the driver's side and asks me what I'm doing out there. "Nothing" was my answer. Then he saw the bag on the floor of the car and asks me what I'm 'hauling'. "Nothing" was my reply again. "I'm not buying it!" said the officer and reached in and grabbed the bag. (That's illegal search and seizure by law.) He looked inside, said something about drugs and then stuck his finger into the stuff and then tasted it! While he was then puking over onto the shoulder of the road it was all I could do to keep from laughing, I had to actually bite my lip! Now, I try to be very humble and nice when dealing with people but should I have gone overboard in trying to stop this guy when he was carrying a loaded gun and was being very rude and forceful?
2 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police8 years agoQuestion about a 2005 Dodge Dakota, 4WD?
I have a four wheel drive 2005 Dodge Dakota. Is it possible to get the oil pan off the thing without removing the front axle? The manuals haven't been much help as they group this vehicle with others and give a generic answer. Can I lift the engine up enough off its mounts to get that oil pan off?
3 AnswersDodge8 years agoIdle speed too high. 1999 Dodge Intrepid?
My idle speed on my '99 Dodge Intrepid is about two grand and I was wondering if it's most likely the Throttle Position Sensor. There's no way to adjust the idle otherwise.
2 AnswersDodge8 years agoQuestion about a 1999 Dodge Intrepid?
I have a 1999 Dodge Intrepid with a 2.7 liter engine. It rattles a lot and I've change the timing chains and tensioners as well as about ten of the little valve dampers that were bad. It still rattles and the noise is up high and not a low noise like a rod would make or a spun bearing. Any suggestions?

Which is better, glued joints on plumbing lines, or the crimp type that requires a special crimping tool?
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoTransmission "Glitch" on a 2005 Dodge Dakota?
Transmission doesn't start out in drive when the truck is cold. Works fine otherwise and fine when it's warmed up a few seconds. I just changed the fluid and filter; it's an automatic tranny. It doesn't "kick" into drive right away when it's just been started cold.
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoQuestion about oxygen sensors on a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe?
I keep getting a check engine light on my 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, code 133, which indicates the upper oxygen sensor on the rear manifold is lazy. I've changed it twice and can drive it about a day before the light comes on again, same code. What gives here?
2 AnswersHyundai1 decade agoHow to fix my Cub Cadet?
I have a 1517 model Cub Cadet with an electric PTO clutch that disengages if I give the tractor more than about a quarter throttle. I replaced the relay to no avail. Is this a clutch problem and can it be adjusted?
