So this was a question on my recent vectors test:

Ship is sailing at a heading of 173 degrees at a speed of 35 knots. Wind is blowing from a bearing of 118 degrees at a speed of 16 knots. Determine the resultant speed.

We were asked to use cartesian vectors to solve. (Correct? answer should be 29 knots) Using this method, I get a different answer then if I did cosine law (46 knots).

Can someone show me what is going on with this, and which is truly the correct answer?

I need to grab the value of this statement:

var transfer= 5.39;

Which would return 5.39. The 5.39 will be any number, greater then 100 is acceptable, and im not sure if it will always be 2 decimal places.

This is the only occurance of a transfer= in the searched text, so it shouldn't be too difficult to grab this number, I just am unable to make these statements aha. So what it should do is:

Value after "transfer=" and before ";" removing all whitespace.

Hi, I need a bit of help choosing what ski length I need to buy since there is a large difference between if I go with my weight or my height, so here are my details:

Height: 5'10" - 5'11"

Weight: 130 pounds

Age: 15

Experience: I am a pretty good skier, I can do most if not all the Black Diamonds.

So, any recommendations on which ski size to buy would be great, thanks!

I can not seem to get these two plugins to work together. If I disable rokbox, my moomenu will work, so I think there is a class of the javascript, any ideas on how to fix?

Hi, my brand new laptop should be handling these games fine, although they are being a bit slow on me.

My computers specs are:

Model: Dell Inspiron 1501

RAM: 2GB

HDD: 120GB

CPU: AMD Turion 64 X2 (TL-60) 2.0GHz

Video Card: ATI Radeon® Xpress 1150

Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium

So the games should run fine with those specs. I have also upgraded my video card drivers. Any help guys?

Hi, what are some good websites that provide "Web 2.0 Style" webpage tutorials. Thanks, and if possible, list multiples sites.

A while back I ripped all of the files from my XP disk to my hard drive incase I lost my disk; and sure enough I did. So basically now I have all the files - the setup and a few folders with many folders in it. Now, I tried to burn to a CD, but when I start up my computer, it doesn't boot to the XP CD, just goes right to my hard drive, my BIOS is set to boot from CD first, so I have no idea why it's not working. Does anyone have any idea of how to fix it? Thanks.

At my school, they have some software on their computers that allows them to view everyone on the networks computer, and let's them put their screen on everyone else's. Does anyone know what this software is called?
