I was dating my boyfriend for over a year. We broke up because it wasn't working out, neither of us were having fun and our relationship was becoming a chore. Pretty soon after, I started hanging out with another guy. We like each other and have kissed, but nothing more than that. I am not interested in being in a relationship right now, I just enjoy this guy's company and kissing him. Maybe one day I would like to date him, but that would be far into the future. It's only been a month since we broke up.

The problem is, I still am trying to stay friends with my ex. He is the closest I've ever been with anyone and my best friend. However, he is extremely jealous of what I have with the new guy. He is constantly asking me what i'm doing always wants to see me in order to prevent me from seeing the other guy. He makes unfair demands and ultimatums.

I told him I think that we can still be friends if we just don't discuss our love lives. He says he can't stop thinking about it and that we shouldn't talk anymore, but I think they only reason he says that is so I will beg him to keep talking to me and stop hanging out with the new guy.

What should I do? I think not talking to my ex might be best but I don't want him to think I don't care about him or love him. Am I being unfair to my ex by getting with someone else so soon?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year, since the beginning of senior year in high school. We are BEST friends, I've never been more comfortable around anyone than I am around him. But now we are almost done with our first semester of college and it's getting really hard. I love him so much, but I also feel that I want to experience being single for awhile. I can see myself marrying my boyfriend, but I also want to date other people.

Since college started, my boyfriend and I have not been doing very well. Although we go the same school, we don't see each other enough, and it doesn't seem like he wants to try to make time for me. I've never cheated on him, but I have lied about a few things and he says he finds it hard to trust me. But since he wasn't wanting to hang out with me, I've been hanging out a lot with someone else. He is really sweet and really nice and just fun to be around because it's not stressful.

My boyfriend and I broke up a few weeks ago, and since then, I've kissed the new guy. I told my boyfriend about it and he was really upset, understandably. I realize that it was really disrespectful toward my boyfriend for me to do this, and he's told me he wants to get back together. But I kind of want to explore things with this new guy.

Overall, I need to take a break with my boyfriend for awhile. I'm not looking for another relationship. I don't want to have any regrets.

What are your thoughts on the situation? How do you think I should handle it?

I've been friends with this girl for 3 years, but recently me and other friends have realized how mean she really is and don't really like to be around her. She says things like "you're so awkward, no one likes you..." I don't think she's trying to be mean, I know she's joking but it's still hurtful.

I've come up with ways to make her stop doing that, but she also talks non-stop about all of the boys she is "best friends" with. It seems like she's doing this because she knows that me and a couple other girls haven't really had boyfriends, whereas she has, and she likes to feel like she's above us. Whenever any of us like a guy or even are friends with a guy, she tries to be better friends with them than we are. She also can be really conceited and acts like she's prettier than all of her friends.

A lot of people have been distancing themselves from this girl because they can't tolerate her! Me and my other friend are thinking that we want to do this too, but we remember that she can also be REALLY nice and really really understanding and supportive. The girl keeps saying things like "you're my only friends, you've always been there for me, so-and-so stopped talking to me and I don't know why..."

I don't want to stop being friends with her, but I can't keep the situation how it is. If I just distanced myself, the problem would never be solved, and as her friend I want to make her a better person. What can I say to her that addresses these issues without me seeming like a really mean person?

so, i sort of like this guy, but i don't know him really well. he doesn't know i like him, just that i want to be friends. so my friend gave me his number and we've been texting awhile... like nonstop for about a week. he said we should hang out with some people, so i know he wants to get to know me... but then he never texted me back!

he told me he loses his phone/charger sometimes, but it's been 5 days and i'm really freaking out about it! i dont think he would do it on purpose, and i'm probably overreacting, but it's really making me nervous.

like 2 days after he didnt text back, i "accidentally" sent him a note that was meant for my friend, and then a little bit later i said "ohh sorry i meant that for someone else!" so he would at least have something to respond to if he couldn't think of something else to say... but he didn't say anything back to that either.

i'm not sure about anything though!! any advice?
