How can I change what people think about cheerleading?
I coach competitive cheerleading & I'm not sure if it's Florida or if the world has pre-conceived notions about the sport. I hear complaints about how expensive it is, how it's too girly, of course I hear that it's not a sport, or that it's not good for kids to compete, etc. I even have people sign up & quit because they thought they'd be jumping around giggling instead of working hard.
I'm not sure how to talk to people & explain that it's not what they seem to think. I feel like they shut me off before I start. What can I do?

My princess went into her first heat January 20th. She has been acting like herself again for a few weeks, but she still looks like she has little doggie implants. When will the swelling go down? Do I need to get her checked out?
4 AnswersDogs2 decades agoDo interventions actually work?
My family is prepared to do an intervention on another family member. I'm afraid that joining in will only push them away & they'll end up not getting the help they need.
5 AnswersOther - Diseases2 decades agoWhat books or sites should I read to learn how to be a good breeder?
I have a fantastic Chihuahua & my vet thinks I should consider breeding her. I have looked around but haven't found enough information on the subject. I would love to see an example of the canine reproductive system & get more information on the birthing process.

3 AnswersOther - Sports2 decades agoWhat would we have to do to end Daylight Savings Time?
Changing the clocks twice a year messes with our productivity. People are late to work, people are sleepy etc. Great that they wanted to save candles hundreds of years ago, but it's a completely outdated practice. How can we stop it?
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics2 decades agoWhy does my dog love pencils so much?
My dog is very well trained, has bones & toys to play with but she keeps taking pencils whenever she finds them. Is it the texture? Should I be giving her a different type of bone to satisfy this chewy obsession, or is it a rebelion issue?
2 AnswersDogs2 decades agoWhy do my angel fish keep laying eggs?
I have two angel fish & it looks like they are both tending to the eggs. One lays them & the other goes over them, I'm assuming that the fish are male & female. Then within hours the eggs have been eaten, since the angels are in control of the tank I'm believe they are the hungry ones. Why do they eat them, can I do anything?

I know someone who doesn't pay taxes, works random jobs for cash, rents rooms to live, and has a core group of friends who'll bail him out no matter what. He's not following a court order because jail is "a joke" as he calls it. He's not a major criminal but I have to follow the rules, why shouldn't he?
