I have a navatron studio set up with three flash heads. Every picture i take with my 5d comes out with a line on the photo and every thing below that line is dark. even when i take a picture in the other direction it still does this and the line only changes places on the photo if i change the shutter speed. however when i unplug the sync cable this stops happening. if anyone has any clue at what my problem is it would be greatly appreciated.

I own a Canon Rebel xti and an old vivitar 283 flash unit. I want to try portrait shots and wanted to know if i could use this flash unit off the camera by reflecting it off a white sheet. However i do not know what i need to connect the flash to the camera. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have to make a children's book on a history topic. It is directed towards 3-7 year olds and I'm having trouble on what i should do it on. It can be on WWI, WWII, great depression, guilded age, 1920s, Span-American War, Progressive movement, and other US events during this time period. Im having trouble narrowing it down and figuring out which specific event i want to do it on and how im going to form a simple story for children. any help with me starting this would be very helpfull and appreciated.

Im currently a junior in high school and have done cross country the last two years, and plan to do it next year, and have done track my freshmen and sophmore year. Now im debating on how much it will affect my chances of getting into college this year. I do pole vaulting but last year i never wanted to go to the practices and wasnt motivated because i personally wasnt having fun or enjoying the sport. So far i have had straight A's in IB and volunteer at a nearby hospital. So my question is if i dont do track all four years, is it going to hurt me?
