I have learned on here that Muslims respect Jesus as a prophet, so I was wondering who you believe the "only son" is. My verse of reference is John 3:16.

It showed up in "My Questions" but it never appeared as a posted public question.

I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't seen it, but did anyone else see that coming? I sure didn't!

There is an old hymn call "Beneath The Cross of Jesus".

It says: Beneath the cross of Jesus, I fain would take my stand.

I love to read old hymns. Their poetry is wonderful and they say reading is done with the opposite side of the brain than singing, so it's like seeing them for the first time.

To some of you: If you HAVE to make a crack about Christians not having brains, go ahead if you must, but its been done to death. :)...besides..in my case I would have to agree....

I know everybody lies sometimes (oh yes, even Christians) but we all know its not right morally. Is it true that Muslims are DIRECTED to lie to "infidels" as long as it furthers their religion?

If this is the case, how can we know what they really believe?

I'm nobody. I don't even have a formal education. But I need advise here.

Or do you fear being honest about it, even on here?

As long as the government keeps people dependant, they can control them.

I do love Jesus for giving me peace with God and I always will....but I really struggle with the idea of eternal punishment. If Adam's sin cursed us all, then didn't Jesus' blood save us all?

I want everyone saved and I mean EVERYONE...yes, even Jim Jones and Hitler, and Mohamed.

I want all of our eyes to be opened to all truth at the point of death, then for Jesus himself to embrace us and welcome us all home.

Again, is this heresy?

I couldn't help it.... Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and, with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him (Oh, dude, this is so bad, it's good…..) a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

that Eve was not yet created when God gave Adam the directive about the tree of knowledge of good and evil? I wonder what the lesson is here. Any ideas?

When Jesus predicted that the Temple would be destroyed (which it was in 70 A.D.), He specifically said that "not one stone would be on top of another". I think this is significant. Does that last wall have to come down?
