Please tell me why this won't work.

So why don't more people ride bikes. Because no one likes to pedal up hill right.

So what if a hybird vehical was made where the vehical ran on an electric motor, powered by a small bank of batteries but where the power for the batteries was supplied by the driver and or passengers by pedaling a generator large enough to quickly recharge the batteries?

The generator would be free wheeling and could be setup on a varible pully to change the generator speed as a power need rose or dropped.

The bank of batteries could allow the driver to not have to pedal the entire time and could take breaks and the batteries could be setup so that they could be plugged in overnight for recharging.

What am I missing other than the fact that even though this may be less difficult that pedaling directly many people would not want to do it because they would still have to supply some power?

But would this be that technically difficult?

- Electrics have problems with recharge time and distance limits.

- Hybrids are nice but still use gas. Better fuel?

- Bio-diesel is ok but can we create enough oil?

- BMW is using Hydrogen but it is costly to produce and dangerous.

So Yahoo what are your creative ideas. Thanks for your answers in advance.

I have two ideas:

1. A different kind of Hybrid car. Human / Electric. Batteries run the motor but the car only runs if a person is pedaling to spin a generator to feed the batteries. It should also be able to be plugged in for over night recharging.

Solves two problems: Distance and weight loss.

2. Bio-diesel / Electric Hybrid with solar panels and a plug.

Electric as the main source. Plug in is more efficient that burning gas for recharging. Solar, why not use it to recharge when possible. Bio-diesel because when you have to go to it, it still burns cleaner than gas.

So again what are your ideas. Just curious. Thanks.

Did you ever just ponder the chance that smaller, weaker but smarter people may have created the concept of a higher power as a defense against the concept of the strong survive?

And if so, how do you think the world would be different if we removed the concept of a higher power from our thinking? How much would be different?

I for one have pondered this and am happy to continue believing in the concept of a higher power and would be very much afraid of what the world would be like with out it. Yes there is much killing and general wrong doing that occurs in the name of God but do you really think it would be better with out that belief?

OK I'm older but I remember when Wrestling was more of a ballance between good guys and bad guys. Now even the good guys are bad and ever single match is won by someone cheating one way or another. This frustrates the hell out of me because I really really like wrestling but I also really really hate the negitive turn to the shows. Latest example is the new tag team being advertised as coming to WWE with the gang mentality as their "thing". Why can't wrestling just be wrestling without all the other stupid crap? I'm much more intested in seeing people like Chris B. and Ray M. wrestle and have a knock down drag out match without the crap... Does anyone else agree with me or am I just silly and need to find something else to watch?

These kids don't need the answers they need help understanding how to figure this stuff out. Why do people just give them the answers? Does it make you feel smarter to know that you just helped someone cheat on their homework? I don't know maybe I'm just a moron.

My two favorites are:

Death by Chocolate.

1 - Dunken Hines brownie mix (family size).

1/2 - cup Kalua

3 - Instant Mousse Mix

1 - Pint Heavy Whipping Cream (whipped into whip cream, I also add two table spoons of powdered sugar)

12 - Heath or Scores bars crushed.

Make brownies, cool, poke holes and pour on Kalua.

Make mousse

Whip Whipping Cream with powdered sugar if desired.

Crush Heath bars

Layer in truffle bowel for two layers.

or

Tiger Butter

2 - cups dark melting chocolates

1 - cup white chocolate

1 - cup peanut butter (I like Jiff)

carefully melt chocolates, keep seperate (I use microwave on defrost setting but double boiler works too)

mix white chocolate with peanut butter to get a tan mixture.

pour dark into jelly roll pan onto wax paper

pour tan mixture on top of dark

swirl together until you get a consistent tiger stripe look

refrigerate for about 15 minutes until it just starts to firm up.

take out and cut to size (I like to use a pizza cutter)

refrigerate for 1 more hour.
