My husband helps get the tree and decorations out of the attic, then he is done helping... My daughter helps for 15 minutes with decorating then she is done. I remember my mom did all the decorating too, is it just my family or is it mostly women that put the decorations up for Christmas? It was not fun decorating by myself, but it was beautiful when I was done.

Are there any DirecTV Techs out there that can help me resolve this error? Most of the channels we have no issue with, unfortunately it is not consistent on which channel this error message will appear. Most of the time the channel comes in fine, but at the bottom of the screen this blue box with the error message is there for about 5 minutes and then will disappear unless you change channels and then it is back for another 5 minutes. Other times the channels we have previously been able to watch are now dark except for the blue box and error message. I called DirectTV tech support last night and she had us reset the DVR by unplugging it for about 20 secs and then letting it power back on. That did not fix it. She also had us check for obstructions and we verified there is nothing in the way of the dish. She couldn't tell us what the error message meant and her only suggestion was to sign up for a year maintence agreement and have a tech come out.

My hubby was draining a home heating oil tank and the hose broke and got the stinky oil all over his jeans and shirt, I have tried washing with Dawn, with white vinegar so far but the clothes still reek! Please help!

My husband's parents did not expose him to religion at all growing up. I have been married to him for 15 years and we have a 8 yr old daughter. I am religious but have not been attending church for a long time and it seems as if I am doing the same thing with my daughter and I have not tried to convince my husband to go to church. I feel very bad and lately I have been having dreams about the 2nd coming of Christ and seeming to have to leave him behind. I don't want to come off as some religious freak and insist we start going to church but I am getting worried my inaction will end up being his damnation.

My daughter's teacher called me today to say she is recommending to use that we hold our daughter back to repeat 3rd grade. It is not because of academics it is because of immaturity. She is very smart but struggles to keep up the pace of 3rd grade and her teacher is very concerned she will just be overwhelmed with 4th grade, but she is not allowed to hold her back if she is passing accademically. Only the parents can request that of the school. Her birthday is late June and we could have gone either way in Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade but I buckled to family opposition and ignored my own gut feeling. Anyone have experiences good or bad with having your child repeat a grade? When did you have them repeat?

I am at my wits end and I am hating her homework as much as she is (but trying really hard not to show it!) She is an avid reader, but when it comes time to writing her thoughts down she is running the other way. She has to write from a prompt the teacher gives them on Tuesdays and they have "free write" on Thursdays. They are required to write 3/4 of a page (composition book), so I really don't see the difficulty, but I have not found the right words or inspiration to get her on it. Please help me we still have 4 months of school left.

I am new into beading and have a couple of websites I like to purchase beads and findings from, but would like to find out if there are others I might be missing.

I will be entertaining my manager and her husband so I want this to be great (but easy!) Also dessert suggestions would be great too!
