This is a stupid question, but I'm babysitting my nephew later today and we're going to an event at a large venue. He's 10 years old, and I've never babysat anyone of his age before. What do I do if I need to use the restroom? I'm worried about leaving him by himself, even outside the bathroom, but it seems like he might be too old to bring in with me. Parents - what do you do?

I know this seems like a no-brainer, so I can't find the answer through Googling. But your body is cooled through transferring heat away from you. So why does it matter what temperature the object is that you're transferring heat to? I like to cling to a pillow with a cold pillowcase in the night in order to cool myself down. However, without the pillowcase, the pillow is room temperature. It seems like this would mean that the warm pillow is better at absorbing heat. Perhaps the colder something is, the faster it absorbs heat?

I have a litter of 4 month old kittens. Needless to say, they stopped nursing on their mother about about month ago, when their mom broke them if the habit. However, for some reason, a different female cat, who is not, nor has ever been, pregnant, suddenly decided to "adopt" the kittens and has been getting them to nurse off her. She used to hate the kittens and their mom. Now their own mother has basically disowned them. How can I get the surrogate mother to stop this disturbing behavior? I feel like the kittens are regressing on their developmental cycle.

A little while ago my boyfriend opened my boot by using the handle. Unfortunately, I hit the hatch release button on my key for at the exact same time and the hatch began making horrible motor sounds. Now the hatch won't open at all. How can I get to my stuff back there? Many forums mention a manual release under the rear seat, but I can't figure out how to lift it. Also, someone did mention that they removed the manual release in 2008, so possibly it doesn't lift. I can take the car to the shop tomorrow, but I'd really like to get to my groceries back there in the meantime.

Right now I have seven indoor cats, thanks to my accidentally letting one who isn't fixed get outside for an hour. The new litter of kittens are three months old and there are four of them. All have been sick off and on since they were born. What seems to happen is that the get a respiratory infection, fight it off successfully, but then catch it again from one of the other kittens, and the cycle continues. I think if I could keep them apart, they'd eventually all get better like the one we gave away, but no one wants to adopt a sick kitten. I don't have the money to take them all to the vet at once. Any advice?

I know that under normal circumstances, there would be no deduction for a wage garnishment. However, there is a deduction for paying back a student loan, and my wages are being garnished for just such a loan. So my question is - since I am technically paying 400 dollars a month towards my student loan, does this qualify as an education credit?

I have a 2001 Hyundai Accent. My power steering belt has been squeaking for a while now, and right before I got to work, it seems like it finally went. My car is now hard to steer and the heater stopped blowing hot air (but, hey, the squeaking stopped!). I looked up the belt online and it looks like this is a serpentine belt that also goes around the crankshaft. Is my motor about to lock up? So far the timing doesn't seem off, but I only drove about a block before I parked it.

I brought home my cat from the vet yesterday. It was a short visit - she had her temp taken and a blood sample taken. Now my other cat is afraid of her. She hisses at her and acts generally freaked out. I can only surmise that she smells the vet smell and remembers the last time she went to the vet, where she had to get a shot. I don't know what to do. The smell should have worn off by now, but my cat still acts like she doesn't recognize my other cat. help?

My last boyfriend broke up with me over a year ago. I'm still not over him, and we only dated for about 9 months. I'm not young or new to relationships, but it's the first time I've ever been dumped, and to say I haven't taken it well is an understatement. Are there any good self-help books that deal with this topic? I've been seeing other people but it hasn't seemed to be helping.

My cat had a lump on her nose, so I took to the vet to have it checked out. The vet said she had a bacteria infection and gave her an antibiotics shot that was supposed to last ten days, during which time she was quarantined at the animal hospital. When I went to pick her up, the lump looked a bit smaller, but seemed to have less fur around it and seemed sort of gray colored. Shortly after, I noticed a small pink area on her mouth. That was about two weeks ago. Since then, the bump on her nose eventually turned to several small bumps and eventually turned to flat black hairless spots. The red spot on her mouth is now black, and accompanied by other black spots around her mouth. She has black spots around the root of some whiskers, under one eye, and on one ear. She has a bump under the same eye. She has a bald spot on her foreleg, but there are no spots on it. I took her back to the vet and he said she still had the infection, and that the spots were called plaque. But the pictures I've seen on the Internet of feline skin plaque look completely different. Any ideas? I'm afraid I've noticed a black spot on the corner of my other cat. She has a habit of licking the sick cat's face.

I took my cat to the vet and while she was there, the vet told me she was overdue for her booster shots. So they gave her four shots all at once. while the vet tech was holding her down in order for her to get the second shot, Kitty freaked and tried to get away, almost stabbing herself on the needle. while the tech was trying to grab the needle, Kitty bit her. The manager of the clinic informed me that Kitty will need to be quarantined for ten days to watch for rabies, then Animal Control will check her out. I don't understand why Animal Control is coming. Is this the law? She's never bit anyone before, vet or otherwise, and is a very swwet-natured cat when she's not being held down and poked with sharp objects.

I came home from work this morning to discover my cat's nose crooked. By the look and feel of it, it seems to be broken. Should I take my cat to the vet? I don't have much money, and, other than my cat being slightly annoyed when I touched her nose (she didn't meow, just moved her head slightly), she seems quite oblivious to the fact that anything is wrong. right now she is lying on the side of my face purring contentedly and her breathing seems completely normal.

My cat's water broke yesterday (at least, I believe that's what happened). since then, she's been very antsy and wanting to nest and have me by her side at all times. she's been drinking a lot of water and hasn't been hungry. In other words , she's given all the signs that she's about to go into labor, except for actually going into labor. it has now been about 19 hours since her water broke. do I need to take her to the vet?

I wear a 40DDD. However, at Fredrick's of Hollywood, the bra sizes go from 40DD to 40F. Should I get a 40F? Naturally, it seems like this would be one size bigger than a 40DD at that particular store. Has anyone else had the same problem? Did you try the 40F?

I have an upcoming interview and I'd like to know which outfit will get the best results. I have already interviewed for the same position twice and those times I wore a suit. However, my only suit doesn't fit me properly, and feels like over-sized pajamas. I have no money, so getting my suit tailored or buying a new one isn't an option. I'm considering wearing a blouse-and-skirt ensemble instead. The last time I applied for this job, the interviewer said he liked me, but felt I lacked enthusiasm. I'm a friendly person, but not especially outspoken, and I feel like wearing a more feminine, brighter outfit might make me seem warmer than the solid black suit I had been wearing.

I lost my job July 20th and have yet to receive any unemployment. My boss (trying to be nice, I presume), lied to me about the reason I was let go, so I told the unemployment agency the incorrect information and now I'm under review. It may take up to a month just for them to decide whether I'm eligible for benefits. Meanwhile, I've used the last money I had to pay my car insurance. I'm going to try to get EBT so I and my cats won't starve, but I don't know what to do about my rent that's due next month. Unless I get a job really really soon, I may get evicted. Even if I do get a job, it could take up to 3 weeks to get the first paycheck. My friends and family are helping me out with meals right now, but they can't afford to help with the bills. My credit's shot. Any ideas? I'm out of them.

I'm trying to do decide if I'm a slut or not. Do you have to have had sex with a lot of guys to be a slut? Does the very fact that I'm hoping people will say I'm a slut make me a slut?

Don't get me wrong, she has a beautiful face. But she seems scarily thin to me, not like the other thin-but-healthy VS models. I first clicked on her pic because I thought she had a, um, package. But I think that must just be her pelvic bone.Maybe all of the models would look like her under that lighting though; I dunno.
